"Little Black, time to go home."
Feng Ye searched around but couldn't find Xiao Hei, so he had to shout loudly.
Then, without waiting to see if it heard him, he picked up a bucket and turned to leave.
Feng Jiaqing and Ye Chenliang each carried a bucket and followed closely behind, stepping on the rocks of various sizes, towards the shore.
A moment later, Little Black came running from the side, a cat's eye snail dangling from its mouth.
"Hey, Little Black actually knows how to bring things back."
Ye Chenliang was surprised.
"I only found out today myself, and I just helped look for so many things..."
As Feng Ye spoke, he took the cat's eye snail from the dog's mouth and threw it into the bucket.
Finally, he sighed, "I wonder who taught it, or if it was just naturally smart and learned it on its own."
Feng Jiaqing laughed and said, "It's probably what your mother taught you. I've often seen Xiao Hei following behind your mother when she comes back from fishing these past two or three months."
"Oh, really?"
Feng Ye was somewhat surprised; he really didn't know about this.
Not to mention that he spends most of his daytime at sea, even when he's resting at home, he doesn't notice this.
"Maybe..."
Just then, the little black dog, who had just run away, suddenly turned back and barked, then took two steps forward and turned back to bark again.
Having learned from his previous experience, Feng Ye knew that Xiao Hei was signaling him to follow it.
"There's something else? Where?"
He was delighted and quickly followed.
Feng Jiaqing and Ye Chenliang followed curiously.
Little Black led them across a group of rocks, stopped in front of one of them, and turned to bark again.
When Feng Ye stepped forward, he saw that it was a sea urchin clinging to a rock.
He smiled. This dog was really smart; it knew that the thorny thing would prick its mouth and be hard to carry, so it brought the person over.
Just as I was about to pat the dog's head to encourage it, Little Black ran off in another direction.
"Holy crap, there can't be any more, right?"
Just then, Xiao Hei turned around and gestured again.
He quickly used tongs to pick up the sea urchin and put it into the bucket, then hurried after him.
Sure enough, Xiao Hei led them to five more sea urchins before finally stopping, panting with his tongue lolling out, as if to say, "That's all."
Ye Chenliang exclaimed in surprise, "Is Little Black going to become a spirit?!"
Feng Ye laughed heartily and patted Xiao Hei's head: "Xiao Hei is great."
"Looks like we'll have to bring Little Black with us when we go fishing from now on. It's more useful than if we find it ourselves."
Feng Jiaqing couldn't help but laugh out loud.
Feng Ye nodded: "Yes, with Xiao Hei around, we can save a lot of effort."
The three men exchanged a smile, then carried their full buckets of catch ashore.
As he walked, Feng Ye suddenly stopped, turned around, and looked at the rising tide.
Why did you stop?
Feng Jiaqing was following behind and almost bumped into it without noticing.
Feng Ye stared at the sea, his brows furrowed, as if he were deep in thought.
After a moment, he said, "I'd like to go out to sea this afternoon and take the opportunity to visit the county to deliver the yellow croaker from yesterday to Jinghong."
"Yes, I'll also bring longtail snapper, as well as grouper, black bream, spiny lobster, and three-knife fish. I'll sell the rest to Uncle Fa."
Feng Jiaqing frowned: "The waves are still so big, is it really necessary to rush out to sea?"
"The typhoon has just passed, and there's plenty of fish in the sea, making it a great time for fishing. If you don't go now, you'll miss the opportunity once the waves calm down and the fish disperse."
Feng Ye continued, "Furthermore, although the waves are large, the Dong Sheng can handle them with its wind and wave resistance capabilities, so there will be no danger. It's just that people will suffer more."
In other words, the current ships are not good enough. Generally, after a typhoon, we have to wait until the waves have calmed down before we dare to go out to sea.
In the future, fishing boats will be eager to go out the day after a typhoon passes through.
Big fish are caught in big storms.
The period after a typhoon is the prime time for fishing.
The waves may be large, but they also bring abundant gifts.
Opportunities and risks coexist, and it is this courage and wisdom that has forged the fishermen's resilience and boldness.
After listening, Feng Jiaqing remained silent for a moment, then finally nodded: "Since you've made up your mind, then go ahead. I won't try to persuade you any further."
With the current wave strength, small fishing boats that are only 10 or 20 meters long are unable to cope and cannot go out.
But the Dong Sheng was not afraid. After all, it was a larger ship with different design and materials, and it was only a few years old, so it could withstand the test of wind and waves.
"When are we going to set sail? I'll go and bring the small boat back so it'll be easier to pick you up and drop you off."
"No need, we'll just board the ship from Lujia Village. Anyway, we're not in a hurry to deliver the goods. You can bring that ship back in a few days when the waves are calmer."
"Alright. Be careful out at sea. If you really can't take it, don't push yourself. Come back quickly."
"We should be fine, we're used to it, it's just..."
He paused here, turned to look at Ye Chenliang: "Big brother, you get seasick, so why don't you stay home this time?"
Ye Chenliang smiled wryly and waved his hand, saying, "It's alright, I can manage. Besides, with one less person on the ship, how will we take turns? Our work efficiency will be affected."
"Don't be reckless. You need to think this through. Once the ship starts moving, there's no going back. They won't turn back just because of you."
Feng Ye said solemnly, "If all else fails, stay and help deliver the goods. I'll have A-Can's father go out to sea with us."
"Seasickness only lasts for the first day or two. It will subside once the waves calm down. I can handle it, I'm fine."
Ye Chenliang patted his chest and made a firm promise.
