The office door opened.
Two young men walked in almost side by side, wearing blue and yellow woolen sweaters inside and white medical coats outside, and student sneakers on their feet. They looked more like fledglings than Xie Wanying and Geng, who had been in clinical internship for almost a year.
The facial features of one of them looked very familiar, and Xie Wanying recognized him at first glance as Teacher Lu’s grandson Zhang Shuping.
The other young man was the same height as Zhang Shuping, wore glasses, was gentle and refined, had fashionable bangs, and was more lively than Zhang Shuping. Since this person called him "Dad", it can be expected that he was Du Meng'en, the son of Teacher Du who was Zhang Shuping's classmate.
"Who are they?" Du Meng'en looked curious when he saw Xie Wanying and others in the office.
As the son of a doctor, he had visited his father's workplace since he was young, and he generally knew who was around his father. His father was a professor, and the students and junior doctors he taught could not be so young. At the very least, they were in their twenties like Dr. Zheng.
These two people seemed to be about the same age as him. Du Meng'en looked at them and walked closer to get a better look at Xie Wanying and the others. There was a wary look in his eyes, and he was obviously on guard against a formidable competitor of the same age appearing before him.
"I know who they are." Zhang Shuping said, holding his arm.
"Who?" Du Mengen asked, turning around.
...
...
"It's Doctor Xie who treated my grandma before and was admired by my uncle." Zhang Shuping said.
As if he had heard of such things, Du Meng'en adjusted his glasses again: "What are they doing here with my dad? To discuss my father's thesis?"
Professors only need to give instructions and won’t have time to guide an intern to do basic operations.
It was probably his son's nagging that woke Du Haiwei from his solitary world of thoughts. Du Haiwei turned around and asked his son, "What are you doing here?"
Interesting. The son asked his father what his students were doing. The father asked his son what he was doing.
Du Meng'en said, "Shuping and I don't have classes today, so we came to visit Dad and help you with your work."
"Why don't you have class today?"
"We had planned to arrange a practicum class, but the clinical teacher said he didn't have time to teach it and postponed it to next week. The counselor asked us to study on our own. Self-study is so boring."
Clinical medicine is a technical subject. It is better to see more and do more in the clinic than to read books. Any smart student who wants to study medicine seriously will understand. How could Du Meng'en not take advantage of his father's convenience to learn.
It seems that all doctors' children are very smart.
Du Haiwei would not reject his son's desire to learn and said, "Don't cause trouble."
If you want to learn, you can, just be a good kid.
Got it. Dumon saluted his father on the spot.
Du Haiwei turned around and didn't know what to say to his son. His son was young and lively, and he looked more like his wife than him.
"Dad, what are you looking for? Do you need me to call Dr. Zheng or Dr. Zuo?" Du Meng'en took out his cell phone. In terms of understanding his father, the son has an advantage. Usually, these two junior doctors help organize his father's academic materials.
"No need." Du Haiwei seemed to have thought it through and said to them, "Put the documents back. Get ready to go to the outpatient clinic."
Teacher Du was on outpatient duty this morning. He said hello to the department and will not return to the ward for rounds.
The outpatient volume of the top three hospitals is huge, and there are long queues of patients in front of every famous doctor. However, even among famous doctors, there are still differences between them.
