Chapter 45 New Student Registration 3

We arrived at the guesthouse that Teacher Zhuang had helped book. After moving our luggage into the guesthouse, we waited until tomorrow to report to school as new students.

Before that, Xie Wanying and her mother couldn't stand the loneliness, so they went to the small shops around the campus and took the opportunity to go into the medical school to take a look. The campus was full of green trees, cool breezes, and birds singing among the flowers and plants. Sun Rongfang was very satisfied and thought that her daughter's future study and life place was very beautiful. The only thing she was worried about was whether her daughter's classmates and teachers would get along well.

The next day, the mother and daughter got up early and ate the unique big fried dough sticks in the capital on the street. They were very big, much bigger than those in their hometown. After eating, they quickly packed their belongings and went to school.

Today's campus is different from yesterday. The auditorium is open for new students to register. Even so, due to the large number of new students every year, the new students and their families are crowded together, and the entire auditorium has become as lively as a vegetable market.

After being reborn, Xie Wanying knew the process of registering for university, so she took her mother to the registration desk of the department where she was studying.

The mother and daughter walked through the long queue and came to the last registration desk. The queues of other departments were long, but there was no one in front of this desk.

For a moment, Sun Rongfang asked her daughter: "Did we find the wrong place?"

"It should be correct." Xie Wanying carefully identified the red sign on the stage, which read "Registration Office for the Eighth Grade Class of the National Association".

"Why isn't anyone queuing here?" Sun Rongfang looked around. The right side was full of people, but there was no one here. It was as if she had seen a ghost.

...

...

Xie Wanying waited for a while and saw a male teacher wearing glasses running over hurriedly. He was about fifty years old and his hair was half gray.

Sun Rongfang whispered in her daughter's ear: "Why does it look wrong to me? Look around, the other people entertaining the students are all young, but this is an old man?"

Unexpectedly, the "old man" teacher heard this and laughed out loud: "I'm sorry, your seniors from the eighth grade class are very busy and can't come to entertain you. They have their seniors entertaining the new students. Your class counselor will have to wait until your first day of class to be confirmed, so for now, I, the director of the Academic Affairs Office, will entertain you."

"Director of the Academic Affairs Office?" Sun Rongfang blinked.

"Yes, my last name is Jiang." The "old man" male teacher took out his work badge and showed it to him.

"Hello, Director Jiang, this is the first time my daughter and I come to school, so we don't understand anything." Sun Rongfang took her daughter's hand to explain.

"It's okay, it's okay."

"Hello, Teacher Jiang." Xie Wanying stood in front and bowed to the teacher.

Director Jiang was startled and quickly stood up and helped her up: "No, no, you're welcome." Then Director Jiang sat down again, obviously a little shy at the politeness of Xie Wanying and her mother. He covered his mouth and coughed softly, saying, "I know who you are."

"Do you know who we are?" Sun Rongfang asked in surprise.

"You are Xie Wanying, right?" Director Jiang pointed the pen in the direction of Xie Wanying.

"You know my daughter's name?" Sun Rongfang was even more surprised, as she had never met this person before.

"Of course I know. He's the top scorer in science." Director Jiang winked at the mother and daughter playfully.

Sun Rongfang couldn't help but burst out laughing and signaled to her daughter: This teacher is so nice and can make jokes.
