Chapter 123 Two Light Bulbs

Qin Zheng took the two sisters to the arcade first, the same one he had taken Song Yingying to last time.

Song Rongrong had come here a few times with her classmates before and had already seen all the sights.

This was Song Yingying's second visit, and everything was new and exciting to her, so she couldn't resist touching and playing with everything.

Song Rongrong patiently stayed with her younger sister, and Qin Zheng also joined in.

However, after a short while, Song Rongrong saw someone else.

Qin Zheng followed Song Rongrong's gaze and saw several energetic young men coming down from upstairs, where the movie theater was located.

One of them clearly saw Song Rongrong as well.

He called out, "Rongrong!"

Song Rongrong smiled.

The boy who called out to her was Yan Huai.

They had already established a relationship, but were still secretly dating, and neither of their parents knew about it.

Song Rongrong glanced at her stunned younger sister, coughed lightly, and said, "Yingying, it's a secret!"

Song Yingying snapped out of her daze and quickly nodded, "Okay."

Song Rongrong then looked at Qin Zheng.

Qin Zheng had a stern face, as if someone owed him money.

Why is this young master unhappy again?

Before Song Rongrong could think any further, Yan Huai came over alone, while the other boys left on their own.

"Yan Huai!"

Yan Huai approached Song Rongrong, smiled at her, and then looked at Qin Zheng and Song Yingying, "They are..."

Song Rongrong answered quickly, "They are my younger brother and sister."

Just as Song Yingying grinned, ready to speak, Qin Zheng gave her a cold look.

Song Yingying frowned. What is my brother going to do?

Yan Huai has arrived, and Song Rongrong is about to leave.

"Yingying, you play with Qin Zheng. I have to go now."

Song Yingying expressed her understanding, "Sister, then you go ahead, we'll wait for you to come back for dinner tonight."

Song Rongrong waved, but it was unclear whether she heard her.

Qin Zheng gave a cryptic twitch of his lips.

"When people are busy going out on dates, do they have time to come home for dinner?"

Song Yingying blinked. "Brother, what's wrong?"

Qin Zheng pursed his lips. "Nothing, what else do you want to play?"

Song Yingying yawned. "I'm a little sleepy. How about we go buy some books first? After we buy the books, I want to go home."

"You're already tired after only a short time out. I think you're just not getting enough exercise."

"No, I stayed up late reading last night."

Qin Zheng grabbed Song Yingying, "Come on, let's go with your sister and I'll show you some exercise."

Song Yingying looked troubled. "Brother, don't go! Isn't that stalking?"

Qin Zheng said expressionlessly, "I'm taking you for exercise, how is that stalking?"

Unable to argue with Qin Zheng, Song Yingying had no choice but to be taken along.

After Song Rongrong and Yan Huai left the mall, they strolled around the neighborhood for a while before realizing that the brother and sister were following them.

"Yingying, what brings you all here?"

Qin Zheng smiled and said, "Yingying is a little sleepy, so I took her out for a walk. It's on the way, so we'll head back after a short walk."

Song Rongrong, unsuspecting, continued talking to Yan Huai about going abroad.

Song Yingying looked at Qin Zheng, then at Song Rongrong, and felt as if she had discovered something remarkable.

Song Yingying coughed lightly, "Brother."

Qin Zheng lowered his eyes and lazily asked, "What?"

Song Yingying glanced in Song Rongrong's direction and couldn't help but whisper, "You wanted to study abroad before because of Sister Rongrong?"

Qin Zheng narrowed his eyes slightly, "Song Yingying, what kind of nonsense are you thinking about?"

Song Yingying's eyes widened: "?"

Isn't that right?

Qin Zheng patted Song Yingying on the head, "Stop thinking nonsense! Don't you have enough homework?"

Song Yingying gave a soft snort and asked again, "Really not?"

Qin Zheng sneered, "Of course not. There are many things you can learn abroad. It's just studying abroad. What does it have to do with anyone else?"

Song Yingying said "Oh," realizing she had been overthinking things.

"Stop thinking about things you shouldn't be thinking about. That's enough, let's go back."

Song Yingying: "I'm not sleepy anymore, let's go for a walk in the park!"

Qin Zheng: "..."

Since their destination was the park, Song Rongrong and her companion found themselves followed by two more tagalongs.

Yan Huai couldn't help but glance at Qin Zheng a few more times before asking Song Rongrong, "Is that your younger brother?"

Song Yingying said nonchalantly, "He's my sister's cousin."

Yan Huai couldn't understand the relationships among the Song family members, so he didn't ask any further questions.

Since we were already at the park, we decided to have lunch together at a small restaurant near the park.

Yan Huai and Song Rongrong did most of the talking; Qin Zheng and his sister rarely spoke.

Song Yingying felt as if an ice cube was sitting next to her. She couldn't understand it, so she simply focused on eating.

Qin Zheng kept glancing at the two men out of the corner of his eye, his fists clenching tightly under the table.

After the meal, Qin Zheng paid the bill.

Yan Huai felt this was not a good idea and decided to give his share to Qin Zheng.

Qin Zheng smiled and said, "No need, you're Rongrong's friend."

This sounds normal at first glance.

Song Yingying couldn't help but glance at Qin Zheng and whispered, "Brother, let's go."

Qin Zheng hummed in agreement, and before leaving, he glanced at Song Rongrong one last time.

Upon discovering that Song Rongrong was still talking to Yan Huai, he turned around and his face instantly darkened.

After the brother and sister left, Yan Huai said, "Your younger brother has quite a personality."

Song Rongrong: "Qin Zheng's personality is like that, he's quite calm and aloof."

On the other side, Qin Zheng and Song Yingying got into the car.

Song Yingying began to feel drowsy after getting on the bus.

She forced herself to stay awake and couldn't help but observe Qin Zheng, "Brother—"

Qin Zheng opened his eyes. "Don't speak, be quiet."

Song Yingying snorted again, "I'm just concerned about you, don't you understand?"

"Thank you for your concern. You don't need to say anything. Just shut up."

Song Yingying: "..."

After dropping Song Yingying off, Qin Zheng didn't rush to leave but sat down at the Song family's house.

Song Yingying asked him why he didn't go back.

Qin Zheng said he hadn't eaten at the Song family's house in a long time, and he wasn't in a hurry, since he would eat alone at home anyway.

Song Yingying suddenly felt sorry for the sharp-tongued Qin Zheng.

"Brother, would you like some water?"

Qin Zheng sat under the eaves outside Song Yingying's room, guarding the door.

"Need not."

They waited until 3 p.m. before Song Rongrong finally returned.

"Qin Zheng, come inside and sit down," Song Rongrong said, pointing to the main room.

Qin Zheng smiled at Song Rongrong again.

"No need, I'll just stand outside for a while."

Song Rongrong didn't think too much about it. If she didn't want to go, she didn't have to. She went back inside to read.

Qin Zheng was the only one left in the courtyard until Song Jianmin returned tonight.

Song Jianmin was surprised to see Qin Zheng and quickly went to the kitchen to cook. Qin Zheng followed him in to help.

I remembered passing by Song Guomin's old house earlier; the gate was open, and there was a girl inside.

Qin Zheng asked casually, "That courtyard has been rented out again?"

Song Jianmin nodded and then talked about the murderer in the city recently.

Qin Zheng's expression turned slightly serious as he instructed, "Be careful when you go out."

Song Jianmin waved his hand, "I know that."
