Xu Guiying led Song Yangmin out of the consultation room, picked up the traditional Chinese medicine, and then went to get a DNA test.
She prepared two small plastic bags, one containing Xu Songyuan's hair, and the other containing her own hair.
She had a good idea of what was going on, but she still needed to get a checkup and show it to Xu Songyuan.
The second child was happily munching on a biscuit.
Xu Guiying led him away, and when they returned to Heping Lane, they found that Qian Yu'an had also arrived and was talking to Grandma Song.
Qian Yu'an smiled and said, "Aunt Xu."
Xu Guiying: "Yu'an, you've arrived."
When Grandma Song saw that Song Yangmin's eyes were red, she quickly asked what had happened.
Xu Guiying coughed lightly, giving her second son face.
"Blown by the wind."
Song Yangmin quickly forgot about the hospital and sat under the eaves on a small stool. The stool was so small that Song Yangmin had to hug his legs.
Qian Yu'an came to Song Yangmin's side and sat down with him.
Xu Guiying returned to her room, and the events of the morning felt like a dream.
She could hardly believe she had actually seen her younger brother.
After finishing lunch, Xu Guiying hurriedly went out.
She rode her bicycle to Luo'an Town, which took an hour to get there.
Xu Guiying's buttocks were practically sparking with heat.
After getting off the bus, she quickly supported her lower back.
Good heavens, you have to admit that you have to admit that when you get old.
This was Xu Guiying's first time visiting Luo'an Town. She took a quick stroll around the town and realized that after searching for so many years, she never expected that her younger brother would settle down in a place not far from the capital.
Many people in Luo'an Town are in the business of Chinese medicinal herbs, and the streets are crowded with people.
Xu Guiying rode her bicycle to Xingfu Village, which is located right by the main road. There are usually many people passing by, so Xu Guiying was not particularly noticeable among them.
She sat down at a roadside teahouse, discreetly looking for an opportunity to inquire about Xu Songyuan.
Just when I was about to fall asleep, someone handed me a pillow.
The next moment, people at the table behind me started talking about the Xu family.
"Xu Songyuan is really lucky; he has a daughter who can marry the secretary's son."
"Hey, you don't know yet, do you? His daughter isn't his biological child at all."
"What?! What's going on?!"
"Xu Songyuan's wife drowned many years ago, and this daughter is adopted! Didn't you all know that?"
"Even luckier, their adopted daughter can marry the secretary's son."
"It seems to have been adopted from Xu Songyuan's cousin."
"Really?"
"Of course it's true! Xu Songyuan has to hurry up and earn money for his dowry, otherwise what if Xu Xue recognizes Xu Zhongtang as her father!"
"Would Xu Zhongtang agree to that?"
"Xu Xue doesn't even know who her biological father is."
Xu Guiying was right to come; she heard so much news as soon as she arrived.
Xu Guiying turned around and casually said, "I heard about it in town too. Xu Xue's family is so much worse off than the Party Secretary's family."
Someone chimed in, "That's true, but Xu Xue also has a proper job. She works as a projectionist at the town's movie theater, earning a few dozen yuan a month, which is quite good."
"Don't think that just because he's the town party secretary, he's nothing special. He's making a lot of money off the side."
Those people continued their loud and boisterous discussion.
Xu Guiying quickly found out the situation, then rode her bicycle back to town and went to the movie theater.
The projectionist also has to handle ticket sales.
Xu Guiying strolled around, bought some food, and casually glanced at the employee badges.
The name tag bearing the name Xu Xue came into view.
Xu Guiying looked up and saw a fair but shrewd face.
Xu Guiying looked away expressionlessly and went into the movie theater. She pretended to watch for half an hour before coming out, while Xu Xue continued selling tickets.
Xu Guiying left the movie theater and sat down in the teahouse across the street.
Her gaze was fixed on the movie theater entrance.
Dowry and betrothal gifts are different.
The bride's family usually doesn't contribute that much.
Xu Guiying wanted to know what Xu Xue was up to.
At four o'clock in the afternoon, Xu Xue finished get off work, and a young man was waiting for her outside.
He was a complete stranger.
The two were behaving intimately, so he is probably Xu Xue's boyfriend.
Xu Guiying pushed the cart and followed behind the two, at a distance that was neither too close nor too far.
With many pedestrians passing by, Xu Guiying went unnoticed.
The two went into a restaurant.
Xu Guiying parked her car outside and followed them inside. She ordered one meat dish and one vegetable dish, and sat at two tables away from Xu Xue and the others, where she could see Xu Xue's face.
A little while later, another person arrived.
She called out "Sister" and "Brother-in-law."
Xu Guiying gripped her chopsticks tightly, staring intently at the dishes on the plate.
"How did it go? Did it succeed?"
"Don't even mention it, nothing came of it again today. My dad said an old woman came out to help." The man sat down next to Xu Xue, and Xu Guiying saw his face clearly.
Is he Xu Zhongtang's son?
"It was snatched back last time, and it failed again this time. Your dad is really lucky."
Xu Xue poked at the rice in her bowl, her voice tinged with impatience: "Then let's wait for another opportunity. My dad said that they're planning to test the drug again next week, so you can find someone else to try it out."
Xu Guiying clenched her fists.
OK.
Xu Xue, that heartless daughter, even though she's not her biological father, she's been raised by him for so many years!
Xu Qiao said impatiently, "I only need a thousand yuan more to pay off my debt. You're my own sister, you can't just abandon me!"
Xu Xue: "What's the rush? There will always be a chance! Take your time!"
After a long silence, Xu Xue's boyfriend finally spoke:
"Be careful next time, your dad's probably on guard now."
Xu Xue frowned and said disdainfully, "I'll do whatever I tell him to do. Never mind, let's eat first."
Xu Guiying ate slowly, waiting until the three of them had finished eating before leaving.
