Xu Songyuan's shop has been open for half a month, and it's called Lao Xu Fried Rice.
Let's just call it Lao Xu Fried Rice.
Simple and easy to remember.
On May 3rd, Xu Guiying took her second son to the hospital and on her way back, she passed by the night market and wanted to go in and check out the shops.
Before I even got close, I saw someone standing under a tree not far away, staring straight in the direction of the shop.
Xu Guiying squinted and took a few steps forward.
Xu Xue caught a glimpse of her out of the corner of her eye, was startled, turned pale, and ran away before she could even react.
Xu Guiying watched Xu Xue's retreating figure.
He muttered to himself, "What mischief are they planning now?"
Song Yangmin: "Mom, I'm hungry."
Xu Guiying clicked her tongue, "You only ate twenty dumplings this morning, and you're already hungry. You're hungry all day long. I can hardly afford to feed you anymore!"
Despite her complaints, Xu Guiying took her second son to the shop and asked Xu Songyuan to cook an extra bowl of rice for Song Yangmin.
Xu Songyuan has recently been praised to the skies by his regular customers. He is dressed in a formal chef's uniform and even has a chef's hat on his head.
"Hey, big sister, what brings you here today?"
Xu Guiying: "I took my second son to the hospital today and just stopped by. Oh, by the way, I saw Xu Xue under that tree just now? She came looking for you?"
Xu Songyuan shook his head, "No, I've come a few times in the past few days. Either work isn't going well, or I'm out of money."
Over the years, Xu Songyuan has come to know Xu Xue quite well.
Xu Guiying waited for him, "Songyuan, I'm warning you, don't be soft-hearted. If there's a first time, there will be a second. Xu Xue is an insatiable ingrate."
Xu Songyuan: "Big sister, don't worry, I know what I'm doing."
Just in case, Xu Songyuan took all the loose change from the shop home every day, and kept the doors and windows tightly closed.
The locks on the house in Heping Lane have been changed, and the keys have been moved.
Xu Guiying nodded, "That's fine then."
Xu Songyuan cooked two portions of fried rice; the larger plate was for the second son, and the smaller bowl was for Xu Guiying.
It's early May now, and summer will be here again in the blink of an eye.
Song Rongrong wrote in a letter that she would come back during the summer vacation.
I've been abroad for a year now.
Xu Guiying still misses that girl quite a bit.
Just then, a few elementary school students arrived.
One of the little girls saw Xu Guiying and called out, "Aunt Xu, Brother Yangmin."
Xu Guiying exclaimed in surprise, looking at the little girl with delight, "Chengcheng, you've come to eat fried rice?"
Xu Songyuan asked in surprise, "Sister, you know her?"
This girl is the one who didn't like eating vegetables when she ate fried rice before.
I come here for fried rice every two days.
Xu Songyuan remembered the face.
Xu Guiying smiled and said, "You're usually so busy, this is Zhuo Huai's youngest daughter, you probably don't remember her."
Xu Songyuan often leaves early in the morning and doesn't return until nine or ten at night, spending most of his time in the shop.
Apart from a few familiar neighbors, no one in Heping Lane had any recollection of Chengcheng.
There weren't many children around Chengcheng's age in Heping Lane, so she often played outdoors with her classmates after school before going home.
Xu Songyuan nodded, not thinking much of it, and still made extra fried rice for Chengcheng.
Chengcheng finished eating and ran away.
It's past 3 p.m. now, past the busiest time.
After Xu Guiying peeled a bowl of potatoes for Xu Songyuan, she took her second son back home.
From a distance, one could hear Zhuo Huai scolding Chengcheng. The little girl ran away, and Zhuo Huai chased after her with a stick.
Aunt Wang advised, "It's okay if Chengcheng doesn't do her homework for one day. How can she do homework every day? The weather is so nice today, let Chengcheng play outside for a while before coming home."
Chengcheng ran wildly all the way, making Zhuo Huai frown in anger.
"This girl has her final exams coming up soon, and she still hasn't done her homework. She's been playing outside all day, and when she gets home she just dawdles when asked to sweep the floor."
Xu Guiying smiled and said, "Chengcheng got perfect scores on both of her midterm exams. She has a good balance between work and rest. She needs to relax outside of studying. Kids all like to play."
Chengcheng is very smart; she can finish her homework in twenty minutes, which would take others an hour.
Aunt Wang: "That's right, that's right! What's this called? Teaching according to aptitude!"
Zhuo Huai shook his head. "Never mind, I'm going back to make dinner."
Song Yingying returned to Heping Lane today.
June is almost here, and she will be leaving the country at the end of August.
Time flies, the fledglings grow up, and they always have to fly away.
Xu Guiying was gratified, as this had now completely changed Song Yingying's life.
Xu Guiying repeated her usual advice, telling Song Yingying to take good care of herself abroad, not to overwork herself with reading, and to pay attention to balancing work and rest.
Song Xinfu: "Don't worry, the Qin family will take care of Yingying."
Xu Guiying glared at him.
Song Xinfu coughed lightly and said, "Outsiders can't compare to yourself. If you feel tired, just sleep more."
Song Yingying smiled and nodded, "Uncle and Aunt, don't worry."
Song Yingying applied to a school in Princeton, where she majored in mathematics. Since she was not in the same city as Qin Zheng, the Qin family arranged for someone to take care of her.
That night, Xu Guiying told Song Xinfu about seeing Xu Xue during the day.
She was still a little worried.
"It was she who instigated Song Guomin to want the house. Now that it didn't work out, she'll probably have to come up with another plan."
Song Xinfu nodded in agreement. "Where does Xu Xue live?"
Xu Guiying didn't know that.
Be more careful.
at the same time.
Several tattooed men are now standing in Xu Xue's house.
Xu Peng has gambled and owes a total of 2,000 yuan. If he can't pay it back within a week, they'll take action against him.
If you wait even one day, I'll chop off my hand.
Let's see how long Xu Peng's organs can withstand the strain.
Xu Peng huddled in a corner like a quail, while Sun Xiumin broke down in tears. Xu Xue had just opened the door to come home when she saw this scene.
"Who are you? What are you doing in my house!" Xu Xue's eyes widened in terror.
"You're Sister Xu Peng?"
Xu Peng's eyes lit up. "That's right! That's my sister. My sister will definitely find a way to pay back the money!"
Sun Xiumin cried, "Xiaoxue, you must save your brother!"
Xu Xue felt a chill in her heart and looked at Xu Peng.
"What trouble have you gotten into this time?"
