Chapter 223 Song Guomin's Divorce

Yan Yanle's crying attracted the attention of the neighbors in the same building, who then took Song Guomin to a nearby clinic.

After examining him, the doctor determined that Song Guomin had fainted due to anger and was expected to wake up soon.

That neighbor was a kind person; he knew about Song Guomin's family situation. They had been arguing for two or three months without any resolution.

It's just a pity for the two children.

It was past 10 p.m. when Song Guomin finally woke up. He thanked his neighbors and took Yan Yan and Lele home.

Liu Aimei left without any mercy. Song Guomin looked at the empty house, smiled bitterly, and his face was covered in tears.

From now on, it will just be him and his two children living together at home.

The Liu family is unaware that Liu Aimei will be getting a divorce tomorrow.

Old Mrs. Liu has been scolding Liu Aimei every day lately for being unreasonable. She only said a few harsh words, why is she so angry for so long?

Xiong Jing secretly stirred up trouble.

"Auntie, my cousin is definitely busy. Maybe she's looking for a job."

"What kind of job could she possibly find?"

Xu Guiying had noticed the sales clerk job beforehand and introduced Liu Aimei to it.

Now that she has such a bad reputation, which company would want to hire her?

Xiong Jing sighed, "Auntie, how about I move out with Cheng Hao? It's not good to stay here any longer; outsiders will gossip."

"Move away? You're staying here. Chenghao is still young. Do you want him to have to move around so much?" Old Lady Liu glared at her and said, "If Aimei criticizes you again, just yell back. She's really giving her face. How dare she yell at you?"

Listening to the commotion, Li Xia said with a grin, "Mom, aren't you being biased? One cheated on his wife, and the other seduced a married man. They're both the same, but you're completely biased."

Old Lady Liu raised her hand, intending to throw melon seeds at her.

Anger flashed across Xiong Jing's eyes as she glared at Li Xia.

"If you can't speak properly, then shut up!"

Li Xia sighed, "Mom, I just feel so sorry for Ai Mei—"

"What do you mean it's not worth it? If it's not worth it, then get out of here!"

Li Xia was deliberately trying to annoy Xiong Jing, since she had nothing better to do anyway.

Although there was no evidence, Li Xia was very certain.

Her mother-in-law must have a relationship with Xiong Jing.

Li Xia has been trying to find out about Old Lady Liu's past, but everyone in the alley is an acquaintance, so asking directly would be too suspicious. She's just been dragging it out, and so far she hasn't gotten any information out of her.

-

The next morning, Song Guomin went to the Civil Affairs Bureau.

Liu Aimei was already waiting. She was wearing a dress and makeup today, looking completely different from Song Guomin.

A hint of embarrassment flashed across Song Guomin's eyes, and he asked in a cold tone, "You've been in contact with that man again?"

Liu Aimei rolled her eyes. "What's it to you?"

"You! You're not divorced yet. No matter how impatient you are, you should at least consider Yan Yan and Lele."

Liu Aimei didn't even bother to say a word to Song Guomin.

"Hurry up."

It was Song Guomin who used to urge them to get a divorce.

Now it's Liu Aimei.

Song Guomin looked around; there were no other men.

The procedures were completed quickly.

The two came out quickly.

Liu Aimei didn't bother to say another word to Song Guomin and turned to leave.

Several years of marriage ended just like that.

Song Guomin twitched his lips.

In the days immediately following the exposure of the affair, Liu Aimei felt remorse, but afterwards she gave up entirely.

Song Guomin knew nothing about the man except that his name was Tong Hongyun.

He didn't know what businesses Tong Hongyun owned, nor did he know where he lived. Even if he asked someone to do the math, he wouldn't have a clue.

Moreover, Liu Aimei and Tong Hongyun's relationship was consensual.

Song Guomin took a deep breath. He had taken the day off and sent his two children to daycare early in the morning. He rubbed his temples. In this vast capital city, he didn't know where else to go.

More than half an hour later, Song Guomin arrived at Heping Lane.

Someone at the alley entrance recognized him.

"Isn't this Old Song's eldest son? What brings him here today?"

"Is he going to start making a fuss about dividing the house again?"

"Guiying's family is also having a run of bad luck, one thing after another. Sigh, when I run into her later, I'll have to tell her to go to the temple and pray to get rid of the bad luck."

Song Guomin stopped in his tracks, his brows furrowing.

"Auntie, what's wrong with my house again?"

"You don't know yet? Your uncle's house was almost robbed, and your fifth brother was even injured."

"Don't say anything, he definitely doesn't know. It's been so long, and Lao Song and the others have all said it's nothing and they definitely haven't been in contact."

Song Guomin opened his mouth and hurried home.

Only Grandpa, Grandma, and Song Yangmin were at home.

The door that Song Yangmin opened for Song Guomin.

Song Guomin noticed Song Yangmin's unusual behavior at a glance. He narrowed his eyes slightly and asked, "Second brother, are you alright?"

Song Yangmin sized up the person in front of him.

I don't know him.

He turned his head and called out to his grandparents inside the house.

Grandpa Song has come out. "What are you doing here?"

I saw my grandfather and heard the voices of my family.

Song Guomin felt a pang of sadness in his heart, and his lips trembled as he said, "Grandpa, I...I..."

Song Guomin wanted to talk about divorce, but found it difficult to bring it up.

"Grandpa, what happened to Uncle?"

Grandpa Song didn't want to say more. "We were almost robbed. We've already called the police. What are you doing here today?"

Coming here specifically to ask about Xu Songyuan? That's not Song Guomin's style.

Today is a workday, and looking at Song Guomin's frail, tearful expression...

Grandpa Song frowned and asked tentatively, "What's wrong? You're divorced?"

Song Guomin's eyes turned completely red, and he slowly nodded.

"Grandpa, I was wrong before, I—"
