Chapter 247 Song Yangmin Recovers

Back to Phoenix Pavilion.

Xu Songyuan glanced at Xu Guiying's expression.

Xu Guiying clicked her tongue, "What are you looking at? The shop is busy. It's rush hour now. Hurry up and go cook some dishes."

"Big sister, are you really alright?"

Xu Guiying: "What could possibly happen to me? Liu Aimei has nothing to do with our family anymore! If she comes again, tell her to get out if she doesn't eat!"

Xu Songyuan nodded, understanding Xu Guiying's meaning.

They then went about their own business.

In the evening, Xu Guiying returned home to find the Song family bustling with activity. She quickly opened the door and saw Song Yangmin standing in the middle of the yard, smiling and calling out "Mom!"

Xu Guiying froze on the spot, staring at her second son in disbelief.

Today was Song Yangmin's follow-up appointment, and Grandma Song took him out early in the morning.

Song Yangmin is now no different from a normal person, except that he still has some memory loss. This morning, the doctor gave him acupuncture. On the way back with Grandma Song, Song Yangmin suddenly started talking about the past.

Grandma Song was shocked and questioned Song Yangmin for a long time. Song Yangmin answered fluently and even bent down to hug Grandma Song's shoulder.

"Grandma, I've remembered a lot of it."

Grandma Song kept wiping away tears on her way home. When she got home, Grandpa Song's eyes also turned red. When Song Xinfu returned in the evening and heard Song Yangmin call him "Dad" after so long, he burst into tears.

Song Yangmin recovered in early March, when spring was in full bloom!

Xu Guiying stepped forward and stood next to Song Xinfu, then grabbed Song Xinfu's arm.

Song Xinfu groaned twice, then laughed and said, "What are you doing? Your hand is about to break!"

Song Yangmin called out "Mom" again.

Song Yangmin's expression was almost the same as before.

Song Yangmin stepped forward and hugged Xu Guiying, "Mom, I remember everything, I'm all better now, I remember everything that happened during this time."

Including all sorts of ugly things that happened.

Song Yangmin felt ashamed as he watched his family members move to tears. He also remembered everything that had happened in his family over the past year or two. Xu Guiying wiped away her tears and asked, "Have you eaten?"

Grandpa Song said loudly, "We've been waiting for you to come back, so our family can have some more to eat!"

It's already past 8 PM.

"Why are you waiting for me? Eat first if you're hungry."

At the dinner table, everyone looked at each other.

Song Yangmin broke the silence, "Mom, just say what you have to say."

Xu Guiying coughed lightly, "Second brother, now that you're better, you should tell Yu'an."

Song Yangmin's expression faltered slightly, his ears felt hot, but he calmly said "okay."

Xu Guiying frowned, not very satisfied with her second son's reaction.

"Also, during the time you were sick, Yu'an came to see you very often—"

Grandpa, Grandma, and Dad are still alive.

Song Yangmin interrupted his mother.

"Mom, I remember all of these things."

Xu Guiying then said solemnly, "Now that everything is settled, you and Yu'an should start planning your marriage. Yu'an is a college student now, so you two should have a good talk. We'll also have a meal with the Qian family to discuss the marriage arrangements."

Xu Guiying is a woman of action; she can't hold the girl back. Besides, Yu'an is currently studying and working at the same time. Xu Guiying had given her money before, but Yu'an refused to accept it.

Song Yangmin has money in his own savings account. He receives a monthly allowance from the army while recovering from his injury for one or two years. He also made a great contribution before, so he has about seven or eight hundred yuan in total, which is enough for his marriage. If he wants to move out and live on his own, Xu Guiying will give them some more money to buy a house.

Once the second son returns to his military post, Yu'an won't need to work anymore; the couple can manage their own finances.

Today is a good day; Grandpa Song even had a couple of drinks with Song Xinfu.

It was past nine o'clock when Song Yangmin finished cleaning up the kitchen and stood in the main room staring at Xu Guiying.

"Hey, Mom, aren't you going to sleep yet?"

Xu Guiying: "What's the rush? Let me sit here and enjoy the breeze for a while before we talk."

Song Yangmin's skin had become much fairer, and the redness on his face was very noticeable.

"Mom, I'm going to go to sleep now."

Xu Guiying smiled and said, "Second brother, it's already late at night. If you want to go out, you can talk about it tomorrow morning."

Song Yangmin touched his nose. "Mom, I'm not going anywhere."

Xu Guiying waved her hand, "Hurry up and go back to your room to rest."

That brat, he thought she had no idea what he was thinking.

Xu Guiying stood in the yard for a while in the breeze, then closed the door and went inside. She took out her savings book and counted the money.

Since Phoenix Pavilion opened, it has distributed profits at the end of each month. It has been more than three months since it opened, and there have been two profit distributions. Xu Guiying and others received a total of 9,300 yuan.

"What are you looking at the bankbook for? Go to sleep."

Xu Guiying narrowed her eyes. "Let's continue buying houses."

Song Xinfu counted the houses he currently owns; he almost has ten houses on his fingers.

"Old woman, tell me the truth, do you have any definite news?"

Xu Guiying glared at him.

"The city will develop in the future, and the average wage is rising. Do you think housing prices won't rise? Now that we have money, let's buy a house! It's real estate, so we can only make money and never lose money."

Song Xinfu had no knowledge of these things, so he said, "Okay, okay, I'll buy it."

Song Xinfu was too excited to sleep after drinking tonight, so he sat up and decided to smoke.

Xu Guiying glared at him: "If you want to smoke, go outside and smoke."

Song Xinfu: "...Then I'm going to sleep."

Xu Guiying put the passbook into the iron box, locked it, and placed it in the deepest part of the cabinet.

The next morning, Song Yangmin got up early to steam buns for his family.

Grandma Song saw the second son as soon as she entered the kitchen.

"Isn't this my second grandson? Xiao Er, what are you doing up so early?"

Song Yangmin neither reads books nor works.
