When Song Xinfu returned home, he immediately noticed something was wrong.
Grandpa and Grandma Song were talking with heavy expressions at the entrance of the main room. When they saw Song Xinfu return, they quickly stopped him and whispered about Song Guomin's matter.
"The person was sitting inside. It's a tragedy. How could they get sick out of nowhere?"
Song Xinfu parked his bicycle and went inside, where he saw Song Guomin sitting in the corner of the main room.
Song Guomin raised his head and called out, "Dad."
Xu Guiying came out of the kitchen. "The food is almost ready. Song Xinfu, after we finish eating, take Song Guomin back home."
Song Xinfu's lips moved as if he wanted to say something, but now was not the right time.
All the dishes were placed on the table.
The dishes were all light and simple.
There was a moment of solemnity in the atmosphere.
Xu Guiying said expressionlessly, "Since the doctor said it can be cured, don't look so down. What will you tell the kids when you get back? Eat quickly, ask for leave from work if you need to, and hire a caregiver if you need to. Life isn't impossible!"
Song Guomin picked up the bowl, held the chopsticks to pick up some food, his hands trembling slightly. "Mom, I understand."
Grandma Song put some food on Song Guomin's plate.
"Eat quickly."
The meal was unpleasant. Afterwards, Song Xinfu rode his bicycle to take Song Guomin home, lest he break down on the way back by himself.
Song Guomin couldn't remember the last time he rode on Song Xinfu's bicycle.
Maybe high school.
Song Guomin's voice trembled slightly, "Dad, if I don't survive, Yan Yan and Le Le—"
"Stop." Song Xinfu was clear-headed about this. "Song Guomin, it's your responsibility to make things interesting. Even if it's not you, there's still Liu Aimei. You've already separated from your family. Instead of thinking about these things, you should pray that your surgery goes smoothly and that you survive safely."
Song Xinfu wouldn't dare to make any rash promises.

We arrived at the foot of Song Guomin Building.
Song Xinfu stopped the car, glanced at Song Guomin's thin and sunken face, and looked away, saying, "You know your own body best. You can't blame anyone else for dragging this out. You should go upstairs now. We'll come to see you on the day of the surgery."

Unable to enter the house, the two brothers sat under the eaves.
Song Anmin also carried Guoguo on his back.
The fifth brother frowned. "Third brother, why don't we both go get checked out? What if this thing is hereditary?"
Song Anmin was speechless: "...Genetic my ass! Look at your grandparents and parents, they're perfectly fine. This is entirely his own fault! Song Guomin didn't take his health seriously and kept messing around. Now that he's sick, he realizes who's good to him."
Song Jianmin muttered to himself, "Aren't we the same?!"
Song Anmin: "?"
Song Anmin felt indignant and a little upset. "Same my ass! I'm not like you guys who cheat your families out of money with women. I was kicked out because I wanted to make my own way in the world!"
Song Jianmin: "No? Song Anmin, you've forgotten about Jiang Hong so quickly???"
Song Anmin sneered, "So what? Jiang Hong was still arrested in the end. I didn't cheat my parents out of money with Jiang Hong!"
Song Jianmin: "…………We're both equally bad, so neither of us will say anything to the other."
Just then, Song Xinfu rode back on his bicycle and saw the two brothers squatting at the door.
"What are you doing, blocking the way!" Song Xinfu got out of the car. "Get out of the way, I need to get in."
Song Anmin quickly followed him inside, while giving Lao Wu a wink to signal him to follow.
"Dad, we've all heard about Song Guomin's situation. What did the doctor say? When is the surgery?"
Song Xinfu parked the car, turned around, and pushed one of them with each hand, shooing them out.
"Go ask them yourselves."
"Go back quickly."
The two brothers were kicked out again.
OK.
I was just kicked out by my mom, and now I'm being kicked out by my dad.
Everything's ready.
Song Jianmin thought for a moment, "Third Brother, why don't we go and see Song Guomin?"
Song Anmin: "You go if you want, I'm not going. A scourge lives on for a thousand years, he won't die so easily."
Song Jianmin: "Then I'll go by myself. What kind of talk is that? I'm not going."
Song Anmin: "Go ahead, nobody's telling you not to go!"
"If you don't go, I won't go either!"
Song Anmin scoffed, "Let me ask you, if either of us or my second brother were sick, would Song Guomin come to see us? No way! Look at my second brother, how many times has he come to see him when he was sick?! Damn it, just thinking about Song Guomin and Liu Aimei's hypocritical faces at my second brother's funeral makes me furious. Don't talk to me, I'm so annoyed."
Song Jianmin scratched the back of his head. "That makes sense."
Song Anmin rolled his eyes and headed towards the Xu family's house, with Song Jianmin following behind him.
After taking two steps, Song Anmin stopped.
He turned around and cursed, "Damn it, so annoying. It takes an hour to get here and back. I get annoyed just looking at his face."
Song Jianmin: "Then let's go?"
"Hurry up!" Song Anmin's tone was harsh. "Get it done quickly!"
"Okay."
Guoguo stayed quietly on Song Anmin's back the whole time. Song Anmin was used to it and walked quickly and steadily.
When the two brothers arrived at Song Guomin's building, they didn't know which floor he lived on.
After randomly asking someone for directions to their floor, the two went upstairs.
