Song Guomin looked at Song Xinfu in disbelief.
"dad?"
Song Xinfu's tone was not joking, "You two are determined to bankrupt this family. Your mother and I still have to make plans for the others. Song Guomin, we can't afford to support you anymore. You should leave."
Song Guomin panicked.
"Dad, that's not what I meant. I didn't think that much about it. I didn't pressure you or Mom. I just want to buy a house so I can get a promotion later. Wouldn't it be good if I got a promotion so I could help support the family?"
Song Xinfu has lived for decades and doesn't believe these things.
"The future is too uncertain. Your mother and I never expected you to grow up and start your own family like this. Whether we help you or not is no longer important. We didn't expect anything from you."
Song Guomin's eyes were bloodshot, and there were red marks on his face.
"Dad, can I just consider this a loan from you? I still have so much money. I'll write an IOU."
“We don’t have that many at home,” Song Xinfu shook his head. “Also, keep your wife in line. If she continues to speak inappropriately, don’t blame your mother and me for being impolite.”
Liu Aimei bit her lip, her eyes filled with resentment.
Song Guomin said "okay" in a low voice, his face full of despair, and led Liu Aimei back into the house.
Song Xinfu stood in the courtyard and looked up at the sky.
When my eldest son was around ten years old, he had excellent grades, helped with household chores, and took care of his younger siblings. But after he went to university and got married, he completely changed.
It would be a lie to say that Song Xinfu wasn't upset.
After the eldest son and Liu Aimei returned to the house, Liu Aimei complained in a low voice, "Song Guomin, what are we going to do now? We're still short so much money. I'm too ashamed to go back to my parents' house to borrow money."
Liu Aimei couldn't borrow any money either!
My parents are busy with my older brother's family and don't have any money to lend her!
Song Guomin still seemed to have lost his mind.
Liu Aimei glared at him, "Did you hear what I said? Your parents are really something. You're the eldest son, and you're married now. They should be taking care of you first."
Song Guomin lay on the bed, feeling irritable, his resentment towards Song Xinfu and his wife deepening.

The next day, Xu Guiying did not go to the supply and marketing cooperative; instead, she rode her bicycle to Baoguo Temple in the south of the city.
Baoguo Temple is said to have been built during the Tang Dynasty. It is simple and serene, and those who have come to worship say it is very efficacious.
Xu Guiying came specifically to ask Song Yingying for a peace charm and also lit an oil lamp for everyone in the family.
Having been bullied twice in a row, it's unclear whether Song Yingying has overcome this hurdle.
After eating the vegetarian meal, Xu Guiying planned to go back.
Unexpectedly, I saw the third brother not far from the temple!
"What's the third brother doing here?"
The third brother got very close to a tattooed young man.
Xu Guiying frowned, quickly took out her hat from her backpack, put it on, and followed on her bicycle.
"Why don't you go in and give it a try? It'll cost 500 yuan in total, but you only have a few dozen yuan right now. Why don't you try your luck with a small investment?"
"I'm dead if my mom finds out."
“Song Anmin, you’re over twenty, why are you still so afraid of your mother? Besides, you don’t gamble much, so you won’t owe any money.”
The tattooed youth spoke persuasively, enticing Song Anmin to cross his own moral boundaries.
Song Anmin had only a few dozen yuan left in his bag, and he hesitated for a long time.
The tattooed youth tried to persuade him again.
"If you don't go in, then we'll go back. Tomorrow is the day to pay the money. If you can't pay, don't blame me."
As expected, Song Anmin fell for the trick.
Song Anmin gritted his teeth and said "Okay".
The two were about to step into an inconspicuous courtyard.
A furious roar came from behind!
"Song! An! Min!"
Song Anmin froze, goosebumps rising all over his body. He didn't dare look back, pushed the tattooed youth aside, and ran forward.
The tattooed young man shouted angrily, "Song Anmin, where are you going?!"
Song Anmin didn't have time to say a word.
Oh my god!
Why did his mother come?
This is absolutely terrible!!!
Song Anmin ran forward frantically, trying to avoid being caught by his mother, otherwise his legs would definitely be broken!
But who is Xu Guiying?
Someone who can run several blocks to catch a thief, let alone someone who is now riding a bicycle.
In no time, Song Anmin was kicked to the ground by Xu Guiying, who arrived on a bicycle, and fell face-first into the dirt.
A sharp pain shot through Song Anmin's leg, and he dared not lift his head, dragging his leg forward.
"Song Anmin, you stop right there! You little brat, you actually dared to gamble! If you want to die, don't drag me and your father down with you! There's a river right ahead. I'd rather you jump in and die than see you get beaten to death for your debts!"
no?
His mother's words were so awful!
Song Anmin looked up to explain, but as soon as he raised his face, his mother slapped him.
With a snap—
Xu Guiying thought it was too lenient, so she slapped the little beast again.
He picked up a stick from the wall and started hitting people.
As Song Anmin dodged and tried to run, he cried out, "Mom, stop hitting me!"
"You little brat, your father and I sent you to school, and you've wasted all your education. How dare you come to a casino?"
"With your luck and skill, how do you think you can win money? You never learn anything good, and you're always aiming too high!"
"Working at a brewery is such a good job, it's a secure job! You insist on starting your own business. All those nice things your friends talk about, like imported silk scarves from Hong Kong, what a load of bull! Even if you paid me, I wouldn't want your junk!"
"Mom! Stop hitting me! Don't I have any shame?!"
Xu Guiying sneered, panting heavily, "You little beast, you still have the nerve to be ashamed! So many people have ruined their lives because of gambling. Song Anmin, your father and I never thought you could make a lot of money. We just wanted you to live a peaceful and stable life!"
