Chapter 39 Song Guomin was taken away by the police station for investigation.

Liu Aimei paused abruptly, her hand frozen in mid-air.

"Mom, that's not what I meant."

Song Xinfu stood up and looked at his eldest brother. “Things have come to this, eldest brother. You should all move out. Our Song family temple is too small to accommodate you big shots.”

Song Guomin's eyes were bloodshot as he looked at Song Xinfu.

"Dad, are you serious?"

Song Xinfu looked at his boss with a disappointed expression:

“In your mother’s and my hearts, Yingying is our own daughter. As the eldest brother, you have insulted your sister-in-law like this, which has disappointed your mother and me greatly. Your mother and I have supported you through your studies and marriage, and we have never wronged you in any way. Song Guomin, move out. Your mother and I will not need you to support us in our old age. We have no relationship with each other from now on.”

Song Jianmin stared at his father with his mouth agape.

Now that his older brother has left, can he finally go home to live?

Song Rongrong frowned and stared at Song Guomin with a hostile expression.

The eldest son stared in disbelief, utterly shocked. "Dad, you want to divide the family property?"

Song Xinfu shook his head, "It's not a division of the family, it's just a unilateral kicking you out."

Separating the family property is a separate matter and requires dividing the family assets.

The eldest son has never contributed to the family, so Song Xinfu will not give him any extra property.

Liu Aimei: "No, you can't kick us out!"

Song Xinfu roared, "Just because I bought the place you're standing here, I can kick anyone out whenever I want!"

Song Guomin's voice trembled, "Dad, are you really going to be this cruel?"

Song Xinfu shook his head. "Song Guomin, it's not that I'm being ruthless, it's that you don't care about your family at all. We're family, and I don't want things to get too ugly. You can go inside and pack your things."

Liu Aimei quickly nudged Song Guomin, who stood there without saying a word.

Liu Aimei burst into tears.

"Mom, I didn't mean to hit you just now. I was just too agitated. Rongrong's words were so infuriating. If we move out...aren't you driving us to our doom?!"

Liu Aimei cried uncontrollably.

Song Jianmin looked at his parents.

Song Xinfu's expression remained unchanged.

Xu Guiying pointed to the eldest couple's room and said, "Go in and pack your things. You've already bought a house anyway."

Song Guomin suddenly came to his senses, and he said through trembling teeth, "Mom, we're not moving!"

Liu Aimei quickly added, "Mom and Dad, we really can't move. Song Guomin and I have to go to work every day and take care of Lele and Yanyan. If we move out—"

Liu Aimei realized she hadn't said the right thing, so she quickly corrected herself, saying, "Mom and Dad, we can't bear to leave you. It's so much more fun for everyone to live together."

The room fell silent as the children looked at the two pillars of the family.

Song Yingying's tears kept flowing. It was because of her that the family had quarreled. She kept sniffling.

Song Rongrong glared at her and whispered, "Don't cry!"

Song Xinfu gave the final order: "Song Guomin, pack your things tonight and move out tomorrow morning. If your mother and I see you when we get home from get off work tomorrow, don't blame us for not showing any mercy!"

Liu Aimei was so anxious that she started to cry.

Song Guomin was now hunched over, his face no longer showing the arrogance he had displayed just minutes before.

He couldn't believe his parents could be so heartless towards him.

Song Guomin gritted his teeth, "Mom and Dad, I won't move out!"

Song Xinfu narrowed his eyes slightly. "Why?"

Xu Guiying was also waiting for her boss's answer, to see what kind of absurd reason this bastard could come up with.

The eldest brother said, "I haven't shown you any respect yet, so I won't move."

Xu Guiying laughed in exasperation, "Song Guomin, so you knew all along that you've never taken the initiative to share the burdens of your family in all your life."

Song Guomin felt embarrassed by what Xu Guiying said.

Seeing that Song Guomin's words were not right, Liu Aimei immediately said, "Mom and Dad, we will share more of the housework in the future. Even for the sake of Yanyan and Lele, please don't kick us out to live elsewhere."

Xu Guiying remained unmoved, shaking her head:

“Eldest brother, the family is only so big. If you take your anger out on Yingying because of this, who knows what other things might happen in the future. We are family members who help each other through thick and thin. No brother or sister has an obligation to share your responsibilities.”

"Don't make things too awkward."

Song Guomin was devastated and desperate. "Mom and Dad, are you really this heartless?"

Xu Guiying leaned on the table, "Song Guomin, it's not that we're heartless, it's that you've hurt our family too much."

Song Guomin and Liu Aimei are birds of a feather; neither of them is a good person.

The two fell in love freely. At first, Xu Guiying and her husband favored the eldest son, while Song Guomin liked Liu Aimei. Liu Aimei asked for a dowry of 700 yuan, which the old couple gritted their teeth and gave, almost emptying their savings.

Now that things have come to this, Song Xinfu and Xu Guiying are determined to make their eldest son move out.

Liu Aimei went inside and called Lele and Yanyan out. The two grandsons cried in front of the old couple.

"Grandpa and Grandma, let's not move out."

"Don't send us away."

No matter how much her two grandsons cried, Xu Guiying and her husband did not budge.

The string in Song Guomin's mind snapped completely.

Liu Aimei went back to her room and wiped away her tears. If she moved out to live on her own, she would have to cook and do housework by herself, which would exhaust her.

Living at home, at least I can share the housework with my family, and once Xu Guiying calms down, I can help her take care of her children again.

Once I move out, I don't know when I'll be able to come back.

Song Guomin refused to move, so he went back to his own room.

Inside the main room, Xu Guiying blinked hard.

Song Rongrong pulled Song Yingying to the kitchen to cook, and Song Jianmin, fearing that the artillery fire would shift, also hurried to the kitchen.

Song Rongrong snorted at him, "Aren't you going back to your dorm?"
