Song Xiaoxiao had been working in the capital for less than a year when she was hit by a car on her way to the company and ended up in the hospital. She only sprained her ankle and was not seriously injured.
She didn't tell Song Yun and Mo Hong about this, so as not to worry them.
After her fall, everyone in the department came to visit her. It was considered a work injury, and the manager even gave Song Xiaoxiao extra money.
Song Xiaoxiao's foot injury wasn't serious, and she didn't hire a caregiver, using a cane wherever she went.
Zhou Fu was not Song Xiaoxiao's attending physician. Another doctor, who was a colleague of his, set Song Xiaoxiao's bones. When Song Xiaoxiao went for her second follow-up examination after being discharged from the hospital, that doctor was not there, so Zhou Fu was the one who examined Song Xiaoxiao.
This was the first time Song Xiaoxiao had met someone like Zhou Fu. He was so meticulous in everything he did. His younger brothers were all handsome and sunny young men, and his former classmates and current colleagues were all quite talkative. But she had never met someone like Zhou Fu who blushed and turned red after just a few words.
Song Xiaoxiao found it quite interesting.
Her foot was fine, but Zhou Fu reminded her to be careful with her right foot in the future to avoid further injury.
Song Xiaoxiao: "I know, I know."
There weren't many people in the hospital that day, and Zhou Fu still felt uneasy as he escorted Song Xiaoxiao downstairs.
Song Xiaoxiao: "Dr. Zhou, are you this dedicated to every patient?"
Zhou adjusted his glasses. "Yes."
Song Xiaoxiao nodded, said "oh," seemingly unsurprised by Zhou Fu's answer, and then left.
The second time I saw Zhou Fu was less than a month later.
As if on cue, someone else in the department fell again, this time twisting their ankle while walking during a team building activity outside.
This colleague's condition is more serious than Song Xiaoxiao's; she needs to use a wheelchair.
When they arrived at the hospital, they were surprised to find that the person seeing them was Zhou Fu.
Zhou Fu's eyelids twitched slightly, somewhat surprised. "It's you."
Song Xiaoxiao put her hands in her pockets and said, "What a coincidence, Dr. Zhou."
Zhou Fu glanced at her, nodded slightly, and went to check on his colleague's injured leg.
Song Xiaoxiao's gaze swept around before finally settling on Zhou Fu.
The Song family members are all good-looking. When Song Xiaoxiao went abroad to study, she also saw white people with very three-dimensional features, but Zhou Fu was the one with the most outstanding temperament.
He should be at least 185 cm tall, with a handsome face, eyebrows like cold stars, and an overall demeanor that can be described as a gentleman as bamboo.
Song Xiaoxiao tapped her fingers lightly in her pocket.
Suddenly, Zhou Fu looked at her.
How's your foot?
Song Xiaoxiao grinned. "I don't feel anything anymore? Dr. Zhou, do you want to do another check-up for me?"
Zhou Fu's expression paused slightly, but he quickly returned to normal.
If nothing's wrong, then there's no problem.
My female colleague, Gao Ling, couldn't help but ask, "Xiaoxiao, wasn't it Dr. Zhou who treated you before?"
Song Xiaoxiao nodded, "Yes, Dr. Zhou's medical skills are excellent."
As soon as he finished speaking, Zhou Fu paused slightly in his writing.
Song Xiaoxiao's smile deepened.
Gao Ling had difficulty walking, so Song Xiaoxiao went downstairs to get the medicine for her. While waiting for it to be bagged, Song Xiaoxiao suddenly stared at the wall in front of her.
There were many signs hanging above, and among the faces of many grandfathers, grandmothers, uncles and aunts, Zhou Fuqing's handsome face stood out.
Song Xiaoxiao casually asked, "Is this Dr. Zhou a very good doctor?"
The nurse who was handling the medicine casually remarked, "Yes, Dr. Zhou returned from abroad and even worked in a hospital overseas."
Song Xiaoxiao: "Which city?"
"I don't know, what's wrong, beautiful? Why are you asking about Dr. Zhou?" The nurse winked at Song Xiaoxiao knowingly. "Dr. Zhou is in high demand."
Song Xiaoxiao chuckled softly, "It's nothing, just asking casually. He's my colleague's attending physician, and I'm a little worried about him."
"Then you can rest assured."
When Song Xiaoxiao returned upstairs, Zhou Fu was not there. Another doctor had been called in, saying that there was a patient with a bone fracture and Zhou Fu had been temporarily transferred there.
Song Xiaoxiao remained expressionless as she left the hospital with Gao Ling. She took her female colleague home before going home herself.
Song Xiaoxiao no longer lives in Heping Lane. She works in finance and earns a good salary, so she rents a place near her company.
The size is two bedrooms and one living room.
She also has a dog.
Song Xiaoxiao brought a little yellow puppy home to raise because her great-uncle Xu Songyuan's dog had puppies.
Little Yellow is called Pharaoh because he has a dignified appearance since he was a child, so he was given this name.
During the days when she was limping, Song Xiaoxiao would go downstairs to walk the dog even while using crutches.
When I got home today, Song Xiaoxiao took the dog downstairs as usual. Pharaoh is two years old now and perfectly embodies the handsome charm of a Chinese rural dog.
A person and a dog went downstairs.
Song Xiaoxiao took her dog to the park, and just like that, unexpectedly, she ran into Zhou Fu, who was only a few meters away.
There were two men with Zhou Fu, presumably his friends.
Song Xiaoxiao raised an eyebrow slightly. "Dr. Zhou, what a coincidence."
"It's you! You know Dr. Zhou? Pharaoh, come here quickly."
"This is the girl I told you about, the one who walks her dog even though she has a limp."
Song Xiaoxiao looked at Zhou Fu.
Zhou Fu raised his eyes, about to smile, when Song Xiaoxiao bent down and patted Pharaoh's head, "They're calling you."
Pharaoh immediately barked a few times.
"Good dog!"
When Song Xiaoxiao looked up again, Zhou Fu had returned to normal, except that his ears were a little red.
"Zhou Fu, could it be that you're Pharaoh's mother's doctor?"
Zhou Fu hummed in agreement.
"Wow, what a coincidence."
Song Xiaoxiao nodded. "Dr. Zhou, it's quite a coincidence."
This is the second time Song Xiaoxiao has said this.
Zhou Fu's arms hung at his sides, his fingers twitching slightly.
He stared at the dog's tail whipping like a propeller, paused for a few seconds, and then asked, "You live around here?"
