Chapter 468 Song Rongrong X Ying Zhengqing 1

When Ying Suqi was eight years old, Song Rongrong had a dream.

In her dreams, she frequently travels to and from a certain place in the urban village.

It's not in Heping Lane.

She saw her aged parents living in a shack, with some vegetables growing in the field in front of the door. She saw the eldest son and Liu Aimei, the third son and Jiang Hong, and the fifth son and Zhang Qingli...

They were arguing at the door.

Then they saw Song Xinfu emerge from the house with a hunched back, his gaunt face urging his sons and daughters-in-law to leave quickly.

Immediately afterwards, Xu Guiying came out from inside.

Song Rongrong had never seen her mother like this before. Her cheekbones were prominent, her hair was gray, and her clothes were patched and patched. Even when the family was at its poorest, they had never looked like this.

Song Rongrong also saw a young girl sitting outside on the edge of the ground.

The little girl tilted her head, drool dripping from her mouth, and smiled at her. She was clean, and her mouth was open, as if she was saying something to Song Rongrong.

Song Rongrong felt a chill run through her body, filled with fear.

She knew it was a dream, and she wanted to wake up quickly.

Song Rongrong shook her head, desperately hit herself, and tugged at her arms, but she couldn't wake up and could only stay in this place.

She saw the eldest brother and his brothers drive away.

Xu Guiying called the little girl at the door to come in.

Song Rongrong also floated over.

The shed was lit only by low-wattage lights.

Several bowls of rice were placed on the table.

Xu Guiying's voice was extremely hoarse, as if it were being squeezed out of a broken radio.

"Yesterday I heard from Sister Zeng that there's a decent old Chinese medicine doctor near the North Third Ring Road. I'll take Ruyu to see him after we finish selling dumplings tomorrow."

Song Xinfu gave a rough "hmm" and then said that there would be work to be done at the construction site tomorrow, so he would probably be back late.

The group said a few more words, but Song Rongrong couldn't hear them clearly.

The scene shifts, and it seems to be morning again. Song Rongrong sees her mother riding a tricycle out. She sees a little girl sitting in the tricycle, holding a tattered rag doll. The tricycle is also packed with dumpling stoves and other things, making it very cramped. The little girl can only curl up and hug her legs.

Song Rongrong finally got a clear look at the other person's face.

Upon seeing a face that looked exactly like Song Yingying, Song Rongrong felt her blood run cold.

Oh right, she didn't see Yingying.

What about Yingying?!

Song Rongrong was like a headless fly. She saw her mother selling dumplings outside a construction site. When the urban management officers came to chase her away, Xu Guiying made excuses, stuffed money into her hand, and then rode her tricycle to another place with the little girl.

There are few people here, and not many come to buy dumplings.

In the afternoon, Song Rongrong left with them again, following Xu Guiying's tricycle to the North Third Ring Road.

There was a long queue outside the traditional Chinese medicine clinic.

It took nearly two hours before Xu Guiying and Ruyu arrived.

Xu Guiying described Ruyu's symptoms, speaking slowly and clearly, word by word, which Song Rongrong, who was floating in mid-air, heard perfectly...

She looked at the little girl in disbelief.

Suddenly the little girl looked up at her.

Song Rongrong didn't know what state she was in during her dream, but she felt her limbs become lighter, as if she was about to float away.

Ying Ying...

how so.

Song Rongrong felt like she was crying. She had no physical body and couldn't do anything. She saw Xu Guiying holding Ruyu's hand with one hand and carrying a bag of Chinese medicine in the other, riding her bicycle back to the shanty in the urban village.

Just then, Song Rongrong suddenly heard someone calling her, and she immediately opened her eyes.

Ying Zhengqing stood by the bed, frowning as he looked at her.

"Rongrong, what did you dream about?"

Song Rongrong froze for two seconds, stared at Ying Zhengqing's face, and then slapped Ying Zhengqing across the face.

Ying Zhengqing stared in disbelief. "You had a nightmare. Why did you hit me? If you miss Yingying, go see her tomorrow."

Song Rongrong: "I'm really awake?"

Ying Zhengqing frowned again, touched her face, which was covered in tears and sweat, and asked, "What did you dream about?"

Song Rongrong sat up, looked around, and realized she was still in her bedroom.

Ying Zhengqing: "I'll pour you a glass of water, take a break."

Song Rongrong took a deep breath and saw Ying Zhengqing turn on the light and bring over a glass of water. She couldn't help but ask, "You just got back?"

Ying Zhengqing was filming out of town for a while, and they would call each other every night. Ying Zhengqing said he might come back the day after tomorrow, but unexpectedly he came back tonight.

Ying Zhengqing hummed in agreement and said with a smile, "I have a surprise for you."

Song Rongrong glared at him, "More like being frightened."

After more than nine years of marriage, Ying Zhengqing's face has become much more mature and profound than before. He is still the type that Song Rongrong likes, and he has maintained a good figure. If he had grown into a bald man with a big belly, Song Rongrong would have divorced him in a heartbeat.

After Song Rongrong finished drinking the water, Ying Zhengqing asked, "What did you dream about just now?"

Seeing Ying Zhengqing's worried gaze, Song Rongrong pursed her lips and said, "I dreamt about my parents, Song Guomin, the third and fifth brothers, and all sorts of other things."

Ying Zhengqing looked at him suspiciously, "Then why are you crying?"

Song Rongrong didn't want to say it at first, but she felt something was wrong. "A lot of things are different from now."

Song Rongrong picked one to talk about.

It is said that Song Guomin and Liu Aimei are not divorced yet.

Upon hearing this, Ying Zhengqing's expression turned strange. "Then your dream was a bit scary."

Song Rongrong glared at him again, "Alright, go to sleep. I'll go back to Heping Lane tomorrow morning."

It's 2 a.m. Ying Zhengqing, exhausted from his long journey, went to bed after taking a shower.

Ying Zhengqing fell asleep quickly, but Song Rongrong was not sleepy. She closed her eyes for a while and stayed awake all night until six o'clock in the morning. Without waking Ying Zhengqing, she got up and went to Ying Suqi's room.
