Chapter 70 Old Master Song Divides the Money

Jiang Hong was extremely anxious. After leaving the hospital, she went back to the casino. Her workplace was an underground place beneath the casino, and that casino was the one Song Anmin had almost gone to.

Jiang Hong is a dancer who doesn't usually perform outside of her usual routine, but there are occasional exceptions.

Jiang Hong has a good figure and a pure appearance. She has earned a lot of money through dancing, but her monthly salary is only so-so. Most of her income comes from tips. However, Sun Xiangxing and the others do not know what Jiang Hong does.

Jiang Hong first approached Brother Zhao, who managed a few of her subordinates.

As soon as Brother Zhao saw her arrive, he lit a cigarette and said, "You don't need to ask any more questions about this. They know what they should and shouldn't say. The higher-ups are very angry about this, and I won't be able to help you next time. I'll be looking for you inside. Go in."

Jiang Hong frowned.

Brother Zhao: "Alright, I won't hit you, just go in."

Ten minutes later, Jiang Hong came out with two slap marks on her cheeks, her eyes were red, and she was clutching a thousand yuan in her hand, which was her advance salary.

Brother Zhao chuckled, "As expected of Sister Hong, she's treated exceptionally well."

Jiang Hong glared at him, stuffed the money into her large bag, and hurriedly returned to her place.

Jiang Hong originally wanted Song Anmin to gamble, and then set a trap for him, making him incur gambling debts. The Song family would then pay off her gambling debts, and the money would end up in Jiang Hong's hands, offsetting some of the compensation.

Surprisingly, Song Anmin didn't agree!

That afternoon, Sun Xiangxing took the eight thousand yuan she had scraped together to the police station. Song Xinfu and his wife, Song Zhicheng, and the younger brothers of the Song family also went.

Song Yun and Song Jianmin stayed at the hospital to take care of Grandpa Song. Originally, Song Anmin also wanted to come, but Xu Guiying found him annoying and left him at the hospital as well.

The eight thousand yuan was hard-earned, and for the remaining money, an IOU had to be written. In the presence of the police officers, Jinzhu, as Sun Rong's spouse, wrote the IOU and pressed her fingerprint on it before Song Xinfu agreed to sign the letter of understanding.

As for how many years they can get off the sentence, that's not something they can decide.

Sun Xiangxing felt heartbroken looking at so much money. Among it was a thousand yuan given by Jiang Hong, who said it was an advance from the boss, and that Jiang Hong should not expect to give them any more money each month.

Sun Xiangxing borrowed another two thousand from Jiang's relatives.

Jinzhu borrowed three thousand from her family and two thousand from relatives in the Sun family.

Now both families are heavily in debt, having borrowed from all their relatives, and the way they look at the Song family is extremely unfriendly.

Xu Guiying counted the money and packed it into several large bags that she had prepared in advance.

"What kind of look is that? If you're going to try to reconcile, you should have the attitude of reconciliation. You're Sun Rong's family, don't act like you're the victims. The police are right here, stop pretending!"

Sun Xiangxing's little scheme was exposed. She had never seen such a shameless person as Xu Guiying in her entire life!

It's a shame she works at a supply and marketing cooperative; she's practically obsessed with money!

They even said they couldn't handle Xu Guiying!

I was even angrier!

Song Xinfu carefully put away the IOU, said goodbye to the police officer in charge of the case, and then the Song family prepared to return to the hospital.

This matter is pretty much settled. As long as Jinzhu can pay off the remaining 7,000 yuan within five years, this matter will be completely resolved.

Back at the hospital, the old man was sunbathing on the balcony. He would have to stay in the hospital for another week. There was a cot in the ward for a caregiver. Grandma Song had just woken up and was stretching her muscles in the ward.

"Mom and Dad, we're back!"

Grandma Song exclaimed, "Old man, come in quickly! Big Dog and the others are back!"

When Mr. Song was young, he was an accountant and handled a lot of money, but it was many years ago that he actually received the few thousand yuan that belonged to him.

The old man weighed the bundled stack in his hand, a hint of melancholy crossing his face.

It's exactly eight thousand. The three siblings, plus the old man and his wife, each family gets two thousand.

Seeing the old man hand two thousand to Song Xinfu, Song Dagouzi stepped back and waved his hand, saying:

"Dad, we can't accept this money! You keep it for yourself, I don't want it!"

Old Master Song glared at Song Xinfu, "You dog, your brain is dumber than a block of wood."

Just say it, why make such a personal attack?

Song Zhicheng and Song Yun waved their hands, saying that their family wasn't so poor that they couldn't afford to eat. This was the compensation money that the old man had received after surviving a near-death experience. What did they need this money for?

Old Master Song narrowed his eyes and looked at Xu Guiying again.

At the same time, Old Master Song glanced at the younger generation of the Song family in the ward. The three sons of the second son stared at the old man with wide eyes. The old man frowned, just like Er Gouzi, three pieces of wood!

The old man then looked at Song Anmin and Song Jianmin.

Song Anmin's eyes were devoid of emotion, as if he had been stunned by his eldest daughter-in-law's beating. Song Jianmin, like the other three blockheads, was completely dumbfounded.

Xu Guiying coughed lightly, "Well, Dad gave it to us, so we'll accept it!"

Song Xinfu glared at his wife and asked, "What are you doing?!"

Xu Guiying rolled her eyes at him and continued, "But two thousand yuan is too much. No matter how much we give, it's our parents' good intention. Mom and Dad, eight hundred or a thousand yuan for each family is just a token. If it's really two thousand yuan, I'll be woken up by the weight at night."

After listening to Xu Guiying's explanation, Song Xinfu finally realized what she meant and nodded, "That's right, Guiying is right."

Grandpa Song shook his head in exasperation.

He has four children, none of whom are smart, especially Song Qiurou, who is obsessed with that dead man!

So Grandpa Song divided the original two thousand in half, giving one thousand to each family.

Song Zhicheng is a level three worker at the town's sawmill, earning a little over twenty yuan a month. His second son's wife is a farmer. Although the second son's family doesn't earn as much as the eldest son's family, they are doing alright.
