This prison is powered by solar energy.
The water is pumped directly from the groundwater to the water tower using electricity, so water can be supplied to the kitchen and bathroom. However, no one has the energy to cook, so they just took a box of self-heating hot pot and went upstairs to distribute it to the people in their individual rooms.
The women and children have not had a full meal since they were brought here.
Not only can they not get enough to eat.
They even get beaten up at the drop of a hat.
Upon seeing the entire box of self-heating hot pot, everyone's eyes lit up: "Thank you, thank you!!!"
Only one boy, around thirteen or fourteen years old, had a detached look in his eyes.
Although the body had been removed, there was still a lot of blood on the ground. Even though the temperature wasn't high, it still made Qiao An'an feel very uncomfortable. She took the tap from the kitchen and started rinsing the blood off the ground, intending to clean it up before eating.
Seeing this, Chi Xiaoyu grabbed a broom and started sweeping.
Since the self-heating hot pot also needed to be heated for a while before it could be eaten, Chen Zhou and the others joined in the cleaning. Soon, the floors of the first-floor lobby and the second-floor lounge were cleaned by everyone.
After finishing his shopping, Li Jianguo was extremely hungry. He felt that one box of self-heating hot pot was not enough for him. After finishing one box of self-heating hot pot, he heated up another box of self-heating barbecue and opened several bottles of beer from the kitchen refrigerator.
After a hearty meal, Li Jianguo found a clean private room and lay down: "I'm so sleepy after eating. I can't go on. I need to rest."
Seeing that Li Jianguo had already lain down, the shrewd Qi Feng also found a private room and lay down. Anyway, since Li Jianguo had lain down first, even if Shen Zhou and the others blamed him, it would be Li Jianguo's fault.
Fang Yuyang and Shen Zhou finished eating quickly, but instead of lying down, they went outside to stand guard. Before leaving, Fang Yuyang kicked Li Jianguo, who was sleeping soundly, and said, "You two will be on duty every four hours!"
Qiao An'an hadn't had hot pot in a long time, so she chose a spicy and fragrant tripe hot pot with a self-heating rice. It was absolutely delicious.
The duck blood mixed with bean sprouts and the luncheon meat coated in chili oil are also very tempting.
Qiao An'an felt like she was eating hot pot during this meal and was very satisfied.
After finishing their meal, Qiao An'an and Chi Xiaoyu went to the bathroom on the first floor.
This prison has water and solar power, as well as a large bathroom for prisoners to shower. Looking at the endless stream of hot water flowing out of the shower, Qiao An'an and Chi Xiaoyu were both a little dazed. Although they could also take a shower in the courtyard, there was no tap water, so they would boil well water and take it to the toilet to wash themselves. It had been a long time since the two of them had taken such a refreshing shower.
Even after washing, you still have to change into dirty clothes.
I am very satisfied.
After taking a shower, the two found a single room with bunk beds, locked the iron door from the inside, and then went to sleep.
Qi Feng was puzzled by Qiao An'an and Chi Xiaoyu's actions: "It's one thing to lock the door for the women and children in the prison, but why are you locking the door for yourselves?"
Qiao An'an replied seriously, "In case you turn into a zombie, this door will be my best protection!"
When Qi Feng heard Qiao An'an say that he would turn into a zombie, he was a little angry, but thinking about it again, it was not unreasonable. All of them said that they had not been caught by zombies, but after such a long fight, who did not have some colorful marks on them?
Thinking of this, Qi Feng hurriedly went forward and closed the door to Li Jianguo's room, locking it directly. In his mind, Li Jianguo was extremely capable of fighting, and he was afraid that Li Jianguo, being tall and strong, would be difficult to deal with if he turned into a zombie. After doing all this, he returned to his own room and closed the door.
Li Jianguo was half asleep and didn't notice that his door had been locked from the inside.
He was awakened by a loud crash.
When he woke up, he discovered that the child in the cell next to his had turned into a zombie and was frantically ramming against the wall between them.
The wall wasn't very sturdy; a small hole had already been knocked open by the little zombie.
Li Jianguo had been sleeping soundly after drinking beer.
Seeing this, he was so frightened that he couldn't sleep at all. He got up and tried to run outside, only to find that his cell door was locked. Enraged, he cursed, "Who the hell locked my door?!"
This day was very tiring.
Everyone was sleeping soundly.
Li Jianguo called out several times before Qiao An'an and Chi Xiaoyu were woken up. Chen Zhou and Fang Yuyang, who were outside, also heard the noise and ran in.
Upon entering, they saw that the child, now a zombie, had already stretched his entire arm into Li Jianguo's cage.
Chen Zhou chuckled: "Li Jianguo, you wouldn't be so easily frightened by a child zombie, would you?"
"I left my weapon on the table while I was eating. What if I get caught by a zombie while unarmed?!"
Li Jianguo glared at Qiao An'an, somewhat resentful, "Open the door for me!!!"
It turns out Li Jianguo thought she was the one who locked the door!
Qiao An'an picked up the baseball bat that Li Jianguo had placed on the table and shoved it through the iron door of the cell to him: "I didn't lock this door, Qi Feng did, and he has the key too."
Li Jianguo killed the child zombie with a single blow and then sought revenge on Qi Feng.
After Qi Feng gave him the key, he was so frightened that he hid in his cell and dared not come out.
To prevent the rampaging Li Jianguo from accidentally killing Qi Feng, Chen Zhou, who could have rested, had to continue standing guard with Li Jianguo for another four hours.
One night later, one of the two women rescued the day before turned into a zombie, and of the seven or eight children, only two survived.
Although everyone felt chilled, they also knew that this was human nature. When faced with death, what humans desire most is to live. Not everyone can admit that they have been bitten.
The woman who survived was named Xia Lanlan, an art student who had just graduated from a teachers' college.
