Chapter 56: Snake Soup Appears (2/2)

Jiang He looked at the chicken fence. It was almost as tall as an adult man. It would be very difficult for a person to climb over the wall and steal chickens.

Came to Lu Mingfeng and asked, "What do you think?"

Lu Mingfeng's breath moved slightly. "Do you smell fishy?"

Jiang He moved his nose. "Why do I feel that this smell is a little familiar? It seems that I have smelled it somewhere before... snake soup?"

The corner of Lu Mingfeng's mouth twitched, and he almost couldn't maintain his facial expression. "Yeah, snake soup."

"What are you two talking about? What about snake soup?" Gao Youhui, who was standing nearby, happened to hear their conversation and looked at them in disbelief. In such a serious occasion, they were actually talking about food.

Jiang He grabbed the man's collar, followed the smell, and came to a wall. He looked down and found a piece of snake skin that looked like fish scales. The fishy smell came from it. He pulled the man's head in with one hand and asked, "How does it taste?"

"I... it stinks? What's that smell?" Gao Youhui was about to say something when a foul odor hit his nose, almost making him vomit. He looked down and saw something under Jiang He's feet, with a puzzled look in his eyes, "Snake skin? So big?"

Lu Mingfeng frowned and said, "It is indeed it." He picked up a branch and turned over the snake's slender body. He felt relieved and worried at the same time. He was relieved because they were familiar with it, but he was worried because he didn't know where this python had run off to.

"Village chief, we know what happened." Jiang He left Gao Youhui and came to Liu Chunsheng, then told him about the incident when he and Lu Mingfeng entered the forest and encountered a python.

When everyone heard the size of the python, the timid ones lost all color on their faces. Liu Chunsheng looked even uglier. Those of them who lived close to the mountains knew more or less about the nature of snakes. "Are you sure?"

Jiang He pointed to the corner and said, "That python just shed its skin. It's still there."

The other people who were watching hurried over to take a look and found the snake skin on the ground. They all showed horrified expressions on their faces. "Village Chief...what did this snake eat? How did it grow so big?"

I'm afraid that the python stole the chicken because it couldn't find anything else. If it eats all the chickens here, it might attack the children in the village. This would be a big deal.

When Liu Chunsheng saw the snake slough, he really believed what Jiang He said, but as long as he thought about such a big guy hiding in the village, he felt a little scared. "So what do you think we should do now?"

"It's daytime now, and we don't know where it is hiding. A hen can't stay here for very long. It will definitely come again tonight. Let's set a trap here and wait for it to take the bait." Jiang He said.

"Is this...reliable?" Liu Chunsheng was a little worried. Isn't it said that plans cannot keep up with changes? If something goes wrong, it will be a big problem.

"Then can you find a better way?" Gao Youhui couldn't help but roll his eyes.

"This... boy, I'll find a few young and strong men to guard it here at night." Liu Chunsheng gritted his teeth. If he didn't catch the python, he would have a hard time explaining why a hen was missing.

Lu Mingfeng seemed to have thought of something, and said to Gao Youhui, "Youhui, go talk to the people at the Youth Institute today and tell them not to wander around tonight, so they don't run into that python. If something happens, it will be bad for everyone."

"Okay, I'll go talk to them right away." Gao Youhui nodded and walked out immediately. Everyone at the scene was nervously preparing themselves.
