Chapter 8: Saving People
After solving the problems left over from the original body, Jiang He felt relieved. The next step was to complete the translation work given to him by the old professor.
Niu Cuifang also sent 350 yuan three days later. Jiang He also went to the factory to talk to the other party about the situation and officially handed over the work station to Niu Cuifang's son.
On the next day, everyone knew that Jiang He had sold his job to Niu Cuifang's son. As for how much the other party paid for it, no one heard, but everyone privately speculated that it must be a lot of money.
No matter what others said, Jiang He didn't take those sour and envious words seriously. In order to translate the foreign book for the old professor, he almost forgot to eat and sleep, and almost translated all the words two days before the submission date.
After writing the last word, Jiang He couldn't help but stretch himself. "Finally finished. I have never written so many words in my two lives."
"Jiang He--! Hey--!" Just as Jiang He was thinking about packing up these things in the afternoon and sending them to the old professor, I heard someone knocking on the window.
Jiang He looked up and saw a figure standing outside. It was Ji Shijie. He quickly opened the window and asked, "Why are you here? Aren't you going to work today?"
Ji Shijie scratched his head and said, "My husband asked for leave in two days and switched shifts with me. I have nothing to do anyway, so I came to play with you."
If Jiang He had to say what he had gained in the past two days, it would probably be that he and Ji Shijie had gone from being a new acquaintance to being good friends. "Wait for me to pack my things first, and then I'll take you out fishing."
At that time, although aquaculture had not yet been opened up, except for the removal of some fish and shrimp, the general direction was to turn a blind eye to the problem.
"Okay, I'll wait for you at your door first!" Ji Shijie ran away with a smile.
Jiang He responded, packed up everything, put the translated notes neatly into his bag, and when he walked to the door, he found that Uncle Liu and Aunt Liu had just returned.
Ever since Jiang He moved into their house, the couple smiled more often and even looked much younger. When they saw Jiang He holding a fishing rod, they curiously asked him what he was doing.
"Xiao Ji asked me to go out and play, and I thought that since we had nowhere to go, we might as well go fishing and bring back some fish to satisfy our hunger." Jiang He said with a smile.
"Well, you two should come back earlier so that I can make a fish feast with the fish you ordered." Uncle Liu said cheerfully.
"Forget it. The fish in that river are very cunning. I've been married here for all these years, but I've never seen anyone catch fish from that river." Aunt Liu directly shattered the fantasies of the two men in front of her.
Jiang He: "..." Aunt, is it really okay for you to hit me like this? But when he thought about the fish food in his own space, he didn't believe it. Even if it was high-tech and refined fish food, it couldn't catch the fish in his river.
"...Okay, I really believe it." Jiang He didn't expect that what he said just a short while ago would be slapped in the face. The fish in this river are really smart.
I cast the hook three times in total. The first time I caught a fish, but I don't know what it was. The second and third times I got nothing.
He directly handed the fishhook in his hand to Ji Shijie, who was already itching to catch it. "I don't believe you can catch it?"
Three minutes later, a fish as long as an adult man's forearm swung its powerful tail and jumped into the bucket in front of Jiang He.
The fish's body was jumping violently, and the water in the bucket was about to splash onto Jiang He's face, as if mocking his incompetence...
