Chapter 600: Suffering a Big Loss (Page 1/2)
Tang Lihong was worried about her daughter's health, so she asked Huo Qingyan to take Song Jingjing to the hospital that evening and have the doctor perform a caesarean section on her that night.
Song Jingjing was afraid, so she told her mother that the evening was a bad time and it would affect her child's fate. She insisted on having the surgery at noon tomorrow.
Just then, a woman suffering from severe bleeding was sent to the obstetrics department. Seeing that Song Jingjing was not seriously ill for the time being, the doctor left her alone.
Song Jingjing was arranged to stay in the ward. Huo Qingyan said to Tang Lihong, "Mom, I'll stay here with Jingjing tonight. You go back and help me look after the baby. Come back tomorrow morning!"
"Where are you going to sleep? My daughter is pregnant, so don't share the bed with her."
"I'm going to my eldest brother's house to borrow a recliner and sleep on it tonight."
"Okay, go borrow a chair first, and I'll stay here to take care of Jingjing."
Huo Qingyan hurried to his eldest brother's house to borrow a recliner. Only then did Lin Man know that Song Jingjing had been admitted to the hospital and planned to have a cesarean section to deliver the baby at noon the next day.
After borrowing the chair, Huo Qingyan suddenly said to Lin Man, "Sister-in-law, can I trouble you for something?"
Lin Man thought, could Huo Qingyan really want her to take care of Song Jingjing? Taking care of her mother-in-law was her responsibility, but asking her to take care of Song Jingjing was out of the question.
"What's the matter? Tell me first..."
"Jingjing will have surgery tomorrow. Tang Xue and my mother-in-law will come to the hospital to take care of Jingjing and the newborn.
Can Yichen and Zizi stay with you for a few days? I plan to send Yifei to stay with my mother for a few days."
As long as they are not taking care of Song Jingjing, it is actually okay to let Huo Yichen and Huo Yingzi stay for a few days. Anyway, the brother and sister are near the hospital during the day, one is in elementary school and the other is in nursery.
"Okay, let Yingzi sleep with Xinxin, and Yichen sleep with Wenwen! Bring their clothes over tomorrow."
"Okay, I'll go get it tomorrow morning."
Lin Man did not mention taking care of Huo Yifei. Since Huo Qingyan wanted to send his youngest son to be raised by his mother-in-law, then she would just send him there.
Huo Qingyan returned to the ward and waited for his mother-in-law to leave. He then told Song Jingjing, "I just discussed with my sister-in-law and decided to let Yichen and Zizi stay at their house for a few days. I'll send Yifei to my mother to take care of him for a few days."
"You asked your mother-in-law to take care of Feifei. Is your mother-in-law recovered from her illness? Is her illness contagious?" Song Jingjing said with some concern.
"What nonsense are you talking about? My mom had breast cancer, and it's not like tuberculosis or hepatitis... How could it be contagious? And my mom is already cured."
"Okay, okay, I got it."
The next morning, Huo Qingyan saw his mother-in-law and Tang Xue bringing their youngest son to the hospital, so he had to take the time to take his youngest son home.
First, I packed some clothes for the three children, then sent my youngest son to his parents' house, then took my eldest son and daughter's clothes to my sister-in-law's house, and finally returned to the ward.
Around half past ten, the hospital corridor was filled with a tense and depressing atmosphere.
Song Jingjing was lying on a mobile bed, her face as pale as paper, and was slowly pushed into the ward by the nurses.
Outside the operating room door, Tang Xue, Tang Lihong and Huo Qingyan paced anxiously, their eyes fixed on the tightly closed operating room door, their hearts filled with worry and uneasiness.
In the operating room, under bright lights, the doctors were preparing to administer partial anesthesia to Song Jingjing. The anesthesia doctor asked softly, "Ms. Song, are you allergic to any medications? Have you experienced any other discomfort recently?"
However, this seemingly ordinary question made Song Jingjing terrified in an instant. Tears burst out like a flood and she burst into tears.
"Doctor, will the anesthesia kill me? What if you give me the anesthesia, but I die on the operating table?" Song Jingjing was so scared that she burst into tears, her voice trembling violently.

The doctor quickly comforted her, "Don't worry, Ms. Song. Aside from slightly elevated blood sugar and blood pressure, there aren't any serious problems with your organs."
We are all professional medical staff and will do our utmost to ensure the safety and smooth operation. Please trust us."
But Song Jingjing didn't seem to be completely relieved. She continued to sob and asked, "Doctor, is it true that no one has died from anesthesia?"
Faced with this thorny problem, the anesthesiologist hesitated for a moment. He knew very well that if he told Song Jingjing the truth that there were indeed cases of accidental death due to anesthesia, then this extremely frightened mother would most likely lose control of her emotions and even refuse to undergo a caesarean section.
After a brief thought, the anesthesiologist decided to change the subject to ease Song Jingjing's nervousness.
He smiled and said, "I heard that you are planning to have a vasectomy while you're having a caesarean section, right?"
Song Jingjing wiped her tears and nodded, choking back tears as she replied, "Yes, my husband said that after this birth we'll have five children, which is enough. If we keep having more, there won't be any room to sleep at home."
"Your child should be very obedient!"
"Yeah, very obedient!"
As they chatted, Song Jingjing's originally tense heartstrings gradually relaxed. She finally let down her heavy heart defenses and began to actively cooperate with the anesthesia.
Time passed minute by minute. About fifteen minutes later, the doctor walked to Song Jingjing and began to test her reaction to the anesthesia.
The doctor asked softly, "Do you feel anything here? How about there?" Song Jingjing blinked, shook her head, and replied, "Nothing."
Hearing this reply, the doctor nodded, then turned around and picked up the sterilized tools, preparing to do the preliminary work for the next operation.
However, just as the doctor was meticulously disinfecting her skin and gently making the first cut with a scalpel, something unexpected happened—Song Jingjing suddenly let out a shrill scream:
"Ah! Doctor, it hurts... Doctor, are you cutting me alive? It hurts so much!" This sudden situation caught everyone present off guard.
At this point, the operation had already begun. The doctor knew that he could not give up halfway and stop what he was doing. He could only continue the operation and comfort Song Jingjing in a gentle tone as much as possible.
"Don't be nervous, relax, the operation will be over soon."
However, Song Jingjing was not listening to any of these words. The pain made her completely lose her mind, and her screams like a pig being slaughtered echoed throughout the operating room.
The doctor in charge of anesthesia stood aside, frowning and thinking to himself, thinking: Is it because Song Jingjing is too fat, so the dose of anesthetic given before is not enough?
Or was it that she had an intolerance to the anesthesia? But she was in surgery, and no matter which possibility it was, she couldn't be given an additional dose of anesthesia.
As the operation progressed, when the first baby was about to be taken out of the mother's body, Song Jingjing's screams became more and more violent, as if they were going to blow the roof off the house.
The doctor quickly told her: "Ms. Song, the first child is a lovely little girl."
But Song Jingjing had no time to care about these things at the time, and was still immersed in the severe pain. Then, the doctor successfully took out the second child, who was also a daughter.
When the doctor told Song Jingjing this, she was completely confused. Didn't the doctor hint that it was a son when he took her pulse during the previous examination?
Did she understand it wrongly?
