At 6:30 the next morning, the alarm clock on the bedside table rang like a death warrant.
Huo Qingci, who was still immersed in his dream, suddenly opened his eyes, jumped up from the bed at lightning speed, and quickly turned off the alarm clock to avoid waking up his wife who was sleeping next to him.
He hurriedly put on his clothes, gently opened the door, and walked down to the kitchen on the first floor in two steps.
Huo Qingci skillfully took out various ingredients from the space and began to prepare breakfast. After breakfast was ready, he carefully put the steaming breakfast into his own space.
Then, he returned to the bedroom on the second floor, tiptoed to the bedside, leaned over, and gently called to Lin Man who was still sleeping soundly:
"Manman, I've prepared a delicious breakfast. Wake up! Otherwise the children will have to get up soon."
Hearing Huo Qingci's voice, Lin Man slowly woke up, but she was obviously not fully awake yet, she just opened her eyes in a daze.
Without even having time to put on her clothes, she grabbed Huo Qingci's arm and took him out of the space.
As soon as the two returned to the western-style building in the real world, Lin Man dove into the cold bed, mumbling:
"Oh, go downstairs first. Let me sleep for ten more minutes."
"Okay, I'll go down first. You can sleep well."
Huo Qingci knew that Lin Man was tired last night, so he let her continue to sleep. He had to deliver breakfast to the table and light the fireplace before grandpa and the children woke up.
Lin Man originally planned to take a ten-minute nap, but she slept so soundly that she didn't wake up until ten o'clock in the morning.
After opening her eyes, Lin Man stretched out her body, then quickly got out of bed and put on her clothes with neat movements.
Then, she carefully spread out the quilt, made the bed, and hurried downstairs to wash up.
But when she came downstairs, she was surprised to find that the entire living room was empty. Huo Qingci, Huo Yining, their grandfather and the lovely twins were all gone.
Only Huo Yian sat alone obediently on the single sofa by the fireplace, his small body curled up, leisurely warming himself by the fire while concentrating on flipping through the book in his hands.

Seeing this scene, Lin Man couldn't help but feel curious. She quickly walked to Huo Yian's side and asked softly, "An An, do you know where your father and the others went?"
Hearing his mother's voice, Huo Yian raised his head with a bright smile on his face and replied, "Dad took Grandpa and the others to the nearby market. Mom, you are finally awake."
Lin Man patted Huo Yian's little head and then asked, "Then An An, why didn't you go out to play with them?"
Huo Yian put down the book in his hand, blinked his big eyes and said, "Dad asked me to stay here by the fire while waiting for Mom to wake up. And Dad also specifically told me to remind Mom not to forget to eat breakfast, because skipping breakfast can easily hurt her stomach."
Lin Man was deeply moved by her son's thoughtful words. She smiled gently and said apologetically, "Oh, baby, I'm so sorry. I accidentally overslept and left you alone at home with me."
Huo Yian shook his head sensibly, "It's okay, Mom. It's really too cold outside. I don't really want to go shopping this morning."
Lin Man thought for a moment, then suggested, "How about this? After Dad and Grandpa come back, how about our family go to the Bund together this afternoon?"
When Huo Yian heard this, his eyes lit up instantly and he nodded excitedly, indicating that he was very much looking forward to the afternoon trip.
"Mom, the Bund has beautiful scenery. Can we go for a boat tour?"
"Son, it's too cold today. It's freezing on the boat. How about we go on a boat tour of the Huangpu River next summer vacation?"
"Mom, will we come next year? But the bus tickets for our family alone cost hundreds of dollars. Let's not come next summer vacation. If Mom wants, Dad can come alone."
Lin Man didn't expect her son to make such an arrangement. She smiled and said, "An An, if you want to come and play, come and play. Don't worry too much about the money. Your father has a high salary, and the money he earns is for you to use."
