Chapter 928

Chapter 928 (Page 1/2)

Tang Lihong hurried back to her daughter's house with her little granddaughter in her arms, anxiously. When she stood at the door, she saw the copper lock hanging on the gate at a glance.

She waited anxiously at the door for a while, but her daughter never returned.

All kinds of bad thoughts kept coming to her mind, and finally she decided that she couldn't just wait like this any longer, so she went directly to the post office to call her son-in-law and ask him if her daughter had taken the child back.

The call was initially answered by Huo Qingyan's leader. Tang Lihong waited in the post office for more than ten minutes before Huo Qingyan called back.

The call was connected again, and Huo Qingyan's voice came from the microphone, "Hello, Mom, what's wrong? What do you want to talk to me about?"

Tang Lihong said quickly, "Qingyan, I just arrived at your house and found the door locked. Jingjing didn't go to the clothing store, and she's not home either. What's going on? Did she go to the military compound?"

Huo Qingyan was also shocked when he heard what his mother-in-law said. What on earth was Song Jingjing doing? She didn't open the store and was not at home. Where did she go with the child?

He quickly explained, "Mom, the clothing store just opened. Jingjing can't just abandon her business and run back to the military compound."

Tang Lihong breathed a sigh of relief, but she was still a little worried. "If she didn't go back to the military compound, where could she have gone?"

Huo Qingyan thought for a moment and suddenly said, "Mom, could it be that Ranran is sick? Jingjing might have taken her to the hospital."

Tang Lihong's heart tightened as she remembered her granddaughter Huo Anran, who had always been in poor health and prone to illness. Perhaps this was true, otherwise why would her daughter not go to the shop for no reason?

"Qingyan, it's nothing. I'll go to the hospital and look for her. I'll call you back when I find her." Tang Lihong said decisively.

"Okay, Mom, thank you for your hard work." Huo Qingyan replied gratefully.

Tang Lihong hung up the phone, picked up her little granddaughter, and hurried towards the hospital closest to her daughter's home.

When she arrived at the hospital, she went directly to the emergency room to ask the nurse if Huo Anran had come to the hospital for treatment that morning.

The nurse carefully checked the relevant information, then smiled and said to Tang Lihong, "Auntie, I have checked for you. Little Huo Anran is indeed here for treatment in our hospital. She is now receiving an IV in the treatment room."

When Tang Lihong heard this, a big stone in her heart finally fell to the ground. She hurriedly thanked the nurse: "Thank you, young lady. I will go find her right away."

After saying that, Tang Lihong picked up her little granddaughter and hurried to the treatment room. Along the way, she was a little anxious, fearing that her granddaughter's condition would worsen.

When she walked into the treatment room, she saw her daughter sitting there holding her granddaughter and receiving an IV. Tang Lihong quickly walked over to her daughter and asked with concern, "Jingjing, how is Ranran?"

Song Jingjing looked up and saw her mother suddenly appear in front of her. She asked in surprise, "Mom, why are you here?"

Tang Lihong took a breath and explained, "You took Yanyan to the clothing store, but when I got there, I found that your door was locked and only that little girl Zhang Fen was there.

She told me that your front door was also locked and she didn't know where you had gone. I was worried, so I went to your house to check, and sure enough, the front door was locked too.

I had no choice but to call my son-in-law, who said Ranran might be sick. I was so worried when I heard that, I quickly brought Yanyan to the hospital to see you.

"Mom, Ranran had a fever in the middle of the night. I didn't sleep all night, so I brought her to the hospital at six o'clock. The doctor said her tonsils were swollen and a little festering, so she had a fever."

"Oh, my Ranran is so sinful, why did her throat get inflamed?"

Tang Lihong looked at her granddaughter in her daughter's arms with a look of heartache and couldn't help sighing.

Suddenly, her eyes fell on Ranran's forehead, and she saw that it was very red and swollen, like a birthday star.

Tang Lihong's heart tightened, and she hurriedly asked, "Jingjing, why is Ranran's forehead so swollen? Did the nurse give her an injection on the head?"

Jingjing quickly explained, "Mom, last night I carried Ranran back to the kitchen to cook, and she accidentally bumped into the door sill. I applied some medicine to her, but the swelling didn't go down much."

Tang Lihong felt even more distressed after hearing this, and kept muttering, "The little guy is so pitiful."

She looked at Jingjing and asked worriedly, "Jingjing, Ranran is sick. Do you still want to open the store?"

Song Jingjing shook her head tiredly and said, "Mom, the doctor said Ranran needs to be on IV drip for at least three days. I didn't sleep all night last night and I want to take a nap this afternoon, so I won't open the store today."

Tang Lihong nodded, showing her understanding, and then asked, "What about tomorrow? Will you still open the store tomorrow?"

Song Jingjing thought for a moment and replied, "I will definitely open the store tomorrow. I'll bring Ranran over for an IV drip tomorrow at noon. You can help me look after the clothing store in the afternoon."

Tang Lihong responded, then as if remembering something, she said, "Oh, that Zhang Fen is still waiting at the clothing store. Do you think I should go over and tell her?"

Song Jingjing had never expected that Zhang Fen would be so persistent in waiting at the door of the clothing store, which made her feel helpless and irritated.

She shook her head gently and sighed, "Mom, don't pay attention to her. If she wants to wait, let her wait! Anyway, I will never have anything to do with her again."

Then, Song Jingjing turned to look at Tang Lihong and asked with a tired look on her face, "Mom, please don't leave today. Stay and help me take care of the baby at noon.

I didn't sleep a wink last night and I'm so tired, so I wanted to take advantage of the afternoon to have a good sleep."

Tang Lihong looked at her daughter with heartache and quickly nodded in agreement: "Okay, Jingjing, Mom knows you're working hard. I'll come to help you take care of the children at noon, so you can rest assured."

Song Jingjing smiled gratefully, then reminded her mother, "Mom, the IV is almost done. You can go directly to my house. The door will be unlocked when I return."

Tang Lihong responded, "I see. Don't worry. I'll take Yanyan back first and bring you lunch. You can eat lunch before going to sleep."

Song Jingjing quickly nodded and responded, "Okay, thank you, Mom! Mom, can you help me find a nanny as soon as possible? I really can't take it anymore." There was a hint of fatigue and helplessness in her voice.

Tang Lihong looked at her precious daughter distressedly and comforted her, "Okay, I'll go back and discuss with your eldest brother and sister-in-law to see if we can find a suitable nanny as soon as possible.

Until the new nanny arrives, I will come over to help you take care of the child for a while, so don't worry."

Song Jingjing asked in surprise, "Mom, will you really come over to help me take care of the baby?"

She originally thought her mother was just talking casually, but she didn't expect that she would actually be willing to help.

Tang Lihong smiled and said, "Of course it's true. If I hadn't come, you wouldn't have been desperate and asked Xu Xiaomin to come over for help like last time, right?"

Song Jingjing quickly waved her hands and explained, "How could that be? Xu Xiaomin abused my daughter, how could I trust her with my two children?

If you don't help me this time, the most I can do is call my mother-in-law and ask her to come over and help take care of the child for a while."

Zhang Fen waited at the door of the clothing store, but by half past eleven, Song Jingjing and her daughter still didn't come to open the door. She was so angry that she kicked the door twice and then walked home angrily.
