They also took a sleeper berth, and the old lady, like the king's father and mother, stayed in the carriage to look after the luggage.
Then the couple had a very pleasant chat with the old gentleman. The old gentleman had a wide range of knowledge. No matter what topic Wen Nuan and Wang Jianshe brought up, the old gentleman could always connect with it calmly. The old gentleman spoke in a humorous and witty manner, which made Wen Nuan and Wang Jianshe very happy to listen!
The conversation lasted for more than three hours. The children were tired from playing, so the two sides said goodbye and returned to their respective carriages.
They did not go to the dining car for dinner, but Wang Jianshe went out to get food and ate it later.
Soon after dinner, the three children fell asleep.
At around eight o'clock in the evening, Wen Nuan and the others were about to go to bed, when suddenly, "bang bang bang", there were knocks on the carriage door.
Wang Jianshe jumped off the bed swiftly, walked to the door, and asked in a low voice, "Who is it?"
"Conductor, do you have an extra little boy here?"
"Have you got a little boy here?"
Immediately following the conductor's voice, a haggard and old voice was also heard. When Wang Jianshe heard the voice, he recognized it as the old man he met in the dining car and quickly opened the door.
"What's the matter, old man?"
"It's you. Have you seen my grandson?" When the old man saw that it was Wang Jianshe, a hint of surprise flashed across his face. Then he nervously grabbed Wang Jianshe's hand and asked.
"No, I didn't see your grandson."
"Where on earth did this child go?" After hearing what Wang Jianshe said, the old man looked a little overwhelmed.
"This old gentleman's grandson is missing. If you have any clues, please let us know as soon as possible!"
After saying that, the conductor helped the old man to continue to the next carriage to ask questions.
