Chapter 255 Tiger
I don't know how much time has passed,
The servants who stayed behind saw that the lady and the young master had not returned yet, so they were looking for them along the lakeside.
Hearing the servant's voice, Rebecca's eyes trembled slightly, and she squeezed Ye Lin's arm tightly: "Tell them not to come over, I need some quiet time."
Ye Lin glanced at the approaching servants and said, "I'll let them go back."
"No."
Rebecca pulled Ye Lin back: "It's okay if they don't understand Chinese. If they all leave, Louis will think too much."
After dealing with the maid,
When Ye Lin came back, Rebecca was expressionless, half squatting on the ground digging stones, her hands as delicate as mutton fat were now covered with mud.
His aunt is digging the soil?
Ye Lin walked lightly behind Rebecca, fearing that she could not bear the shock and went crazy.
Ask softly,
"Aunt, what are you doing?"
Rebecca was so focused on digging that she only had eyes for the pit. "I'm going to find a stone and carve a curse on it to curse the devil. You can do whatever you want. Wouldn't it be easier for us to just find someone to kill him?"
He even knows how to curse people, so he must not be crazy.
Seeing how hard she was digging, Ye Lin took out a pen from his pocket and handed it to Rebecca: "Louis can't do all this alone. If he dies, it will be difficult for the people below to dig, and..."
Ye Lin paused, a little hesitant.
"Besides, what about Daniel? Louis is his father after all."
"But his father killed my sister!" Rebecca suddenly lost control and slapped the ground with her hands frantically. The calmness she had tried so hard to pretend collapsed again.
Ye Lin didn't say anything this time. He squatted silently beside Rebecca and helped her vent her emotions.
Rebecca knew that what Ye Lin said made sense.
But she couldn't accept this fact.
It was easy to buy a life in Italy, but if she hired someone to kill Louis, what would happen to her son?
Will Daniel hate her when he finds out?
Rebecca didn't dare to bet on this result.
For the sake of his son, he could not let his enemy pay with his life.
How could she treat her sister like this?
Seeing Rebecca gradually calm down and seem to have figured things out,
Ye Lin spoke to comfort her at the right time: "Aunt, you don't have to think so much. We will find evidence and let the law judge Louis. Daniel is already grown up. Everything will be done according to the formal procedures. Daniel will understand."
"But Italian law doesn't have the death penalty. This is too easy for him."
The main reason why Rebecca was unwilling to go through the formal channel was that there was no death penalty in Italy, and the most she could get was life imprisonment.
"Oh."
A smile appeared on Ye Lin's lips, but his eyes were extremely cold.
“Isn’t life imprisonment a good thing?”
"How he lives in there, isn't it still the US dollar that decides his life?"
"What is more terrifying than death is living in despair."
Rebecca understood what Ye Lin meant, and her originally decadent eyes brightened up, and she gritted her teeth and said,
"Yes, don't even think about feeling comfortable. I want him to regret it. They're all waiting for me one by one."
After Rebecca came to her senses, she cheered up and stopped giving up on herself. She asked Ye Lin what she needed to do.
"My aunt's mind is like a salad right now. It's a mess."
"Baby, is there anything I can do to help you?"
Ye Lin really needed Rebecca's help, but he was afraid that she was not cut out for it.
If there was no one he could trust, he wouldn't let Rebecca do it.
"I was still young when my mother passed away, so I don't understand many things. Besides, I have to keep an eye on Louis and Vivian in Italy, so I can't leave for the time being."
"Aunt, can you help me go to the United States?"
"After the surgery, the doctors who were in charge of my mother had to check everything."
Ten years ago, Irene suffered from cardiovascular disease and went to the United States for surgery. The operation was successful, but she developed an infection later and died soon after.
Postoperative infection is a surgical risk regulation. At that time, they all thought that Irene's death was God's will and no one thought much about it.
Now it seems that it was most likely Louis's work.
Louis was sitting absent-mindedly in the lobby on the first floor reading a newspaper. He had been staring at the first page for half an hour since he opened it, as if there was some intoxicating and extraordinary article in the newspaper.
Two servants came in through the side door.
Seeing Louis sitting on the sofa, the two of them simultaneously perked up their spirits and tiptoed along the wall.
While walking, I didn't dare make any noise, for fear of disturbing Mr. Louis who was reading the newspaper.
Like two rabbits meeting a wolf,
The servants working in this castle all know that
It's okay to offend the bad-tempered lady, it's okay to offend the unruly eldest young master and the second young master with a lot of problems, but the only thing you can't do is offend Mr. Louis, who usually looks gentle, because he is a smiling tiger.
If the three people in front were angry, they would just do what they had to do after venting their anger, and no one would make things difficult for the servants.
Mr. Louis was different. He smiled and said nothing at the time, but later on, he forced at least twenty servants to resign.
The last butler who didn't keep his desk tidy was sent by him to sweep the stables for a month, and he hasn't come back yet, under the pretext of exercise.
How did Lady Rebecca find such a double-faced husband?
The two of them complained about Louis in their hearts.
The butler walking behind was so busy looking at Louis that he didn't see the coffee chair at the corner.
There was a loud "thump" sound.
The servant fell to the ground along with the fruit plate in his hand.
His upper body pressed down on the fruit plate, breaking it into pieces, and the juice from blueberries, grapes and other fruits splattered everywhere.
The servants with him wanted to escape through the window before Louis turned around!
Louis turned his head on the sofa with a frown on his face. He was upset about Ye Lin's matter. When he turned around and saw the carpet was messed up, he became even more annoyed.
He scolded angrily,
"You idiot, do you know how much this cashmere carpet costs? Go wash it right now!"
"I'm sorry sir, I'm sorry, I'll clean it up right away."
The butler didn't care about his palm being pierced by the broken pieces of porcelain plate. He bent down repeatedly to apologize and half-knelt on the ground to clean up the mess.
The servant next to him wanted to help him, but was afraid that Louis' anger would get on him, so he froze in his place and didn't dare to lend a hand.
"You're a bunch of idiots. You can't even hold a plate. What else can you do? Didn't God give you a brain?
"Damn it! Can you please let me live comfortably for a few days? What are you living for?!"
Louis shouted until his face turned red and he finally cursed Ye Lin by scolding the servant.
"I'm sorry sir, I'm so sorry."
The butler was almost scared to death by him. He kept apologizing to Louis, his hands shaking. He had never seen Louis so angry before and he felt that his life was in danger.
Seeing the servant who was frightened into a quail by himself,
Louis felt a strange sense of relief in his heart. He imagined that the person in front of him was Ye Lin. He squinted his eyes at the servant and said condescendingly,
"After you're done cleaning, clean the carpet. Don't be lazy. Wash it by hand and report back to me tomorrow when you're done."
This carpet is as long as a runway. I'm afraid I won't be able to clean it even if I stay up all night.
The servant didn't dare to object and bowed his head in resignation: "Yes, sir."
Louis was about to teach him a lesson.
A clear male voice sounded from outside the main door, and footsteps came from far away.
"What are you washing? It's rare that my uncle knows how to do housework."
Ye Lin put one hand in his pocket and strode towards the living room.
"Angel is back, come in and sit down."
Louis's face instantly changed like an overturned palette, from the icy snow to the spring blossoms.
She glared at the servants and signaled them to leave quickly.
Only after getting permission did the butler next to him dare to help the little friend lift up the soiled carpet and intend to exit through the side door.
Ye Lin's legs were long enough that he had already arrived at the scene before the male servants left. He took a look at the scene in the living room and asked,
"Change the carpet?"
"Didn't you just change it yesterday? Why change it again?"
Louis added fuel to the fire, "Yeah, they ruined a new carpet. I'm having it cleaned."
Ye Lin glanced at it out of the corner of his eye.
The beige carpet held by the two servants was covered in red and purple. It would be difficult to wash. Looking up, the left servant's hand holding the blanket was bleeding.
His eyes stopped at that trace of blood, and Ye Lin's eyebrows slightly frowned.
"It's dirty, so why wash it? Just take it out and throw it away, and get a new one from the warehouse to replace it."
The butler was delighted, but he didn't know who to listen to. He looked at Louis hesitantly and didn't dare to leave.
Ye Lin was a little unhappy that his words were ignored and said coldly,
"Why, my words don't work here?"
"No, no, Master, let's go throw it away right now."
The two servants picked up the carpet and ran away.
In the past three years, Tiger was not at home and Louis was the king. They actually forgot that the eldest young master was the boss. They were really confused!
