Chapter 259 Apartment

Chapter 259 Apartment

Daniel quietly opened half an eye,

He thought to himself, if Ye Lin dared to put on airs in front of him, he would never give in again in his life!

Ye Lin's first reaction was that he had misheard. How could Daniel possibly apologize to him? It was not until he heard Daniel calling him "brother" that he confirmed that he was not hallucinating.

The sudden situation made Ye Lin not know how to respond.

Her usually clever mouth seemed rusty at this moment. She dodged for a moment and accepted Daniel's apology dryly.

"Um."

"Hurry up, the car is ahead."

It seems his brother accepted his apology.

Daniel's grip on the handbag loosened slightly, and he felt relieved. When he spoke to Ye Lin again, he felt much more relaxed and caught up with the figure in front.

"Here we are, the car won't move, why should we walk so fast?"

"The road here is narrow, and parking your car on the side of the road affects other people walking."

Ye Lin made up a random excuse and suddenly reconciled with Daniel. He didn't know what to do, so he could only keep walking, trying to relieve his unsettled emotions.

Daniel curled his lips: "Then why did you drive here?"

"I didn't know your school was so crowded."

"You evil capitalists who only study privately have no idea about the lives of ordinary people."

"I've been to public school for a few days, and you're still talking about class struggle."

"I call this ideological sublimation. Communism is the only way out for humanity. You don't understand."

"Your transfer to this school is really worthwhile, you have a lot of smart ideas."

The two brothers walked while arguing with each other.

When they got back to the car, the gap that had accumulated between the two of them over the years gradually disappeared, and they regained some of the intimacy they had in their childhood.

The white bodyguard driving the car didn't know what was going on with these two young masters. They used to fight each other so fiercely, but why did they suddenly become friends today?

The bodyguard secretly glanced at the worker through the rearview mirror, but the worker didn't dare to ask anything.

The bodyguard who came to pick up Daniel was as confused as he was. The second young master got into the eldest young master's car, so should he follow or not?

The car drove onto the avenue, and the buildings on the street gradually transitioned from old to prosperous. Daniel chatted non-stop with Ye Lin about school matters. He inadvertently glanced at the mall outside the window and hurriedly shouted to the bodyguard to stop the car: "Stop! Stop!"

A trace of doubt flashed in Ye Lin's eyes, and he tilted his head to look at Daniel.

Daniel laughed awkwardly, rubbed his hands like a hamster, and said flatteringly, "Brother, I want to buy something."

Ye Lin blinked: "Well, go ahead,"

Seeing that Ye Lin didn't get his meaning, Daniel moved closer to Ye Lin, pinched two fingers, and stretched them in front of Ye Lin's eyes. The gap between his fingers was only big enough to accommodate a grain of rice.

With a flattering wink, he said, "But I need some sponsorship, just a little bit will be enough."

Ye Lin raised his eyebrows: "You don't have money?"

Daniel scowled: "Ever since the last fight, I've been broke. I even have to ask my mom for money before taking the bus."

Speaking of the last fight, Ye Lin turned sideways and asked him with interest: "Why did you fight last time? Tell me about it."

Daniel's eyes flickered, and he said vaguely: "He said that you and I don't look like a family. Isn't that just saying that I look average? It's so annoying."

Daniel's appearance is above average, and he looks good on his own, a sunny and cheerful Western-style puppy. But when he stands next to the gorgeous Rebecca and the mixed-race Ye Lin, he seems a little inferior, as if he did not inherit good genes.

Ye Lin looked helplessly at the curly-haired kid rolling around on the car seat: "Just because of this, you beat someone into the emergency room? Remember to beat your dad next time. It's him who dragged down your genes."

Having said that, Ye Lin still had one more thing he wanted to ask: "And that time a few years ago, when I came to pick you up out of kindness, why did you make a scene with me?"

Maybe he was tired of being asked, or maybe he was asked about a topic he didn't want to talk about, but Daniel started to act like a rogue: "Hey, why do you keep asking me? Are you going to buy me something or not?"

Seeing that he didn’t want to talk about it, Ye Lin stopped mentioning the matter, patted Daniel’s forehead, and said helplessly: “Buy it, get out of the car.”

Ten minutes later, Ye Lin and Daniel were sitting in the apartment sales hall behind the mall, looking at each other.

"Is this the little bit you mentioned?"

Ye Lin was the first to break the silence, and pointed his slender fingers at the apartment brochure, where the US dollar price was particularly beautiful.

Daniel didn't think he was wrong and raised his chin: "Yes, I'm just buying an apartment, not a manor."

The young master bid a good price.

Ye Lin: "Okay, then why did you buy an apartment? There's no room for you at home."

"Brother, my deskmate's birthday is the day after tomorrow, and I want to give him an apartment." After saying this, Daniel quickly added the reason, fearing that Ye Lin would disagree. "Brother, my deskmate is a very good student. He always gets first place. He is also willing to explain the problems to me and never thinks I am stupid! He is more patient than the tutor."

After hearing this, Ye Lin accepted this reason. If he could help Daniel with his studies, all ten apartments would be worth it.

But is it appropriate to give houses to classmates?

"The apartment is a bit too formal. How about we go buy some sneakers and video games?"

Daniel had thought about these things a long time ago. They were not suitable for his deskmate at all. A house was a real necessity.

Shaking his head, he was about to buy a house: "Brother, my deskmate is an orphan. After his birthday, when he becomes an adult, the orphanage will no longer let him live there. I'm afraid he will have nowhere to go."

Daniel shook Ye Lin's arm and stretched out his tone: "Brother, let's help him. I feel so miserable."

Ye Lin's eyes dimmed for a moment, and he didn't know what he remembered. He leaned back into the sofa, closed his eyes, and said lightly: "Well, then you pick one."

Half an hour later, Daniel was running and jumping in front, holding the freshly issued property certificate and keys. He passed by a boutique and went in to buy a gift bag.

I feel like I'm a really handsome and kind-hearted person who saved my deskmate from a dire situation.

Daniel's good mood only lasted until he got home.

When I walked into the restaurant, the atmosphere was not right.

The air seemed to be filled with smoke, and the temperature was a few degrees cooler than outside. Daniel walked quietly behind the curtains to observe the main seat at the table. His parents seemed to be arguing.

My mother, who is usually extremely elegant, seemed to have a grudge against the steak in front of her today. She cut the steak with a loud noise and put it into her mouth in big mouthfuls.

And there was his considerate and elegant father, with a stern expression, who ate his own meal without any intention of trying to appease his wife.

There was eight feet between the couple.

Across the table from him was a Chinese woman whom he didn't know, probably his brother's aunt. She wasn't affected by the low pressure at all, she was eating and drinking as usual, and was eating fruit wrapped in pizza.

Daniel moved quietly on his toes, not daring to go in, and lowered his voice: “Brother, what’s wrong with them?”

Ye Linbai glanced at him and said, "Can't you see? They had a fight."

Daniel gritted his teeth, thinking that this was no nonsense.

The three people at the table each had their own thoughts.

No one noticed Ye Lin and the others until the butler pulled out stools for the two young masters, and Rebecca realized they had gone home.

"Oh my god, Daniel, what happened to your hair?"

Louis was already in a bad mood. He glanced at his son's colorful head and was furious. He said sternly, "Who did you learn this awful thing from? I always said there wouldn't be any good people in a school attended by ordinary people! Look at what he's learned!"

Louis turned to Rebecca and said the last sentence. He had never agreed with Daniel going to the Union School, and now that he had the chance, he was going to have a good fight with her.

Rebecca got angry whenever she heard Louis talking. She turned her sharp gaze towards Louis and looked at him coldly, "What did he learn? What did he learn? I see he's been living on campus lately. Without you around to harass him, he seems to be a lot more normal!"

Rebecca prefers fighting to arguing.

As soon as he finished speaking, a bowl of chicken soup was dropped on Louis' head, and the creamy yellow soup dripped down Louis's clothes and fell onto the carpet from his cuffs.

"Oh my god, this is like a drowned chicken."

Zhao Zhaodi scooped the ice cream and watched with great interest.

Louis recovered in the chicken soup and couldn't believe what had happened. He took off the soup bowl from his head and was furious: "Rebecca! You are crazy!"

Rebecca picked up a plate of sashimi and threw it at Louis again: "Yes, I'm crazy! You don't let me go smoothly at work, and you don't let the children go smoothly at home. I want you to die. I will kill you today!"

Louis hid from the dishes while explaining to Rebecca that he had set up a ghost company without telling her: "How many times do you want me to tell you that I saved money for our family? Why don't you believe me?"

"I discovered this today. Otherwise, can you confess? Tell me! Are you using your money to keep a mistress outside?"

"I'm already old, why would I support a woman? Can you please stop making trouble?"

The couple fought in the restaurant over money. Rebecca beat Louis unilaterally. Louis didn't dare to fight back and could only talk back.

Plates, soup bowls, forks, saucers and wine glasses flew into a ball in the air, and the food on the table disappeared at the speed of light.

Ye Lin was quick to snatch a plate of bacon and egg noodles from the air and placed it steadily in front of the stunned Daniel, reminding him: "Stop looking at it. If you don't eat it now, even this will be gone."
