Rebecca took a flight overnight and returned the next morning.
This noble lady who had been elegant for half her life was in a state of extreme embarrassment today.
The clothes were probably from yesterday. The delicate velvet jacket had been worn out by the economy class flight and was now covered in creases.
She was anxious to return to Rome and couldn't wait for the private plane. There were only a few economy class seats left on the fastest departing flight yesterday. Zhao Zhaodi saw Rebecca rushing out of the elevator and thought she had mistaken her for someone else.

Daniel also saw Rebecca, but he was too guilty to approach her. He lowered his head, leaned on his crutch, and shrank behind Xavier.
Xavier had seen Rebecca's photo in the castle, but Rebecca was just a blood-related stranger to him. He couldn't tell whether he was nervous or hesitant.
After a quick glance, he lowered his head and took a few steps back with Daniel, with no intention of saying hello.
Rebecca didn't have time to care what they were thinking, or rather, she didn't even see the two of them. All she had in her mind and eyes was Ye Lin.
After getting out of the elevator, I went straight to the intensive care unit.
It was not until she leaned over the narrow window of the intensive care unit and saw Ye Lin lying there in good health that her heart, which had been hanging in the balance all the way, finally settled down a little.
He cast a glance at Ah Hui, who was standing guard outside the door, and asked anxiously, "How is he? Still not awake? What did the doctor say?"

Rebecca held on all the way, but the taut string broke with a bang as Ah Hui said that. Her eyes went dark and she fell to the ground powerlessly.

Ah Hui and Daniel exclaimed at the same time and went forward to help Rebecca up.
When Rebecca opened her eyes again, she was lying in the ward with an IV drip hanging on the back of her hand.
She blinked her sapphire blue eyes a few times in confusion. After a moment, her thoughts came back to her. She suddenly remembered Ye Lin who was still unconscious in the ICU.
I struggled to get up from the bed and wanted to go see Ye Lin again.
She made so much noise that she woke up Zhao Zhaodi, who was resting in the bed next to her. "Hey, what are you doing? There's still water on your hand."
Rebecca was looking for her shoes. Upon hearing this, she pulled out the needle and said anxiously, "I'm going to see Angel. This is terrible. I have to go see him again."
Seeing how anxious Rebecca was, Zhao Zhaodi didn't know what to say. She put on her clothes and accompanied Rebecca to the intensive care unit.
Rebecca pushed open the door of the ward. In addition to the bodyguards guarding the door, there were two big hairy potatoes sitting in the corridor. At the sound of the door opening, they all turned their heads and looked towards the ward.
Three pairs of eyes met unexpectedly.
"Mom, you're awake."
Daniel pursed his lips and called out "Mom" awkwardly. After waiting for a while, seeing that Rebecca didn't say anything, the courage he had finally mustered disappeared completely, and he shrank back pitifully.
Xavier didn't know what to call her. He was not very good at handling such intimate relationships. After looking at each other for a few seconds, he nodded slightly, which was considered a greeting.
Rebecca was very confused at the moment. She didn't hear Daniel speak just now.
She had just learned about Xavier's existence from Ye Lin the day before yesterday. She was furious, but she hadn't figured out how to get along with this child. It was all her fault for not knowing people well that led to all this.
She had wanted to pick out some gifts for the child from the United States after finishing her business, but she was in such a hurry yesterday that she came back empty-handed.
The gifts she bought for Ye Lin and Daniel over the years were so many that they could not be transported even by train. But when they came to Xavier, she didn't even prepare a box of candy.
Rebecca's guilt towards Xavier deepened.
She stood there hesitating for a moment, and before she could figure out how to speak, Zhao Zhaodi caught up with her.
"Big sister, why are you blocking the door and not leaving?"
Zhao Zhaodi looked over Rebecca's arm and stretched her head to look outside. "Hey, aren't these your two sons? Come on, recognize each other."
Fortunately, Zhao Zhaodi warmed up the atmosphere. Rebecca tidied her hair and walked towards them following her words.
Seeing Rebecca coming over, Xavier quickly poked Daniel, who was pretending to be an ostrich, to remind him to stand up.
Daniel had never been in an orphanage and didn't understand the ways of the world. Rebecca was almost there, but he still hadn't figured out why Xavier was poking him.
He's just here, why should I stand up to greet him? He just continued to slump on the bench like a big shot.
Rebecca glanced at Daniel with disdain, then suddenly her eyes fixed on him. She saw the plaster on Daniel's leg and the bodyguards pushing the wheelchair and crutches beside him.
When did her stupid son become lame?
Before Rebecca could think about it, she had already walked up to the two of them, retracted her gaze from Daniel, raised her eyes, and looked at Xavier with a little nervousness.
"You must be Xavier, what a good kid... You look a little taller than your brother."
After a dry greeting, Rebecca felt a little stuck. She owed this child too much, and it seemed that nothing she said could make up for the guilt.
"Well, hello."
Xavier replied politely, with a hint of distance in his politeness.
Rebecca clenched her palms under her sleeves, glanced at Daniel's limp leg, and said hesitantly: "Well, I'll just watch over the hospital. Otherwise, why don't you go back and rest first?"
"No, I'm not tired." Xavier shook his head and refused.
"Listen, Lu Zhou, you can't stay here forever. Go back and rest before coming back, okay?"
"I... okay." Looking at the cautious woman in front of him, Xavier couldn't bear to refuse her, so he nodded in agreement.
Rebecca breathed a sigh of relief. Her new son seemed to have a good temper.
Then she turned around and looked at her limping son. She frowned and said unhappily, "Your butt is stuck to the chair? Take Xavier to find a place to live. Also, don't sit crookedly even if you have a limp. Sit up straight."
"Okay, then we'll come over tonight. You have to rest too, Mom. You've got white hair growing on your head."
After being despised by Rebecca, Daniel felt relieved all over. This was right. His mother had despised him before, but it seemed that she was not angry with him.
Rebecca rolled her eyes at him and said, "Get out of here right now."
Owen came out of the elevator with a stack of documents in his hand. Rebecca gave Xavier some instructions and motioned for Owen to wait for her in the ward.
