Chapter 281 Two and a Half Minutes

Chapter 281 Two and a Half Minutes

Ye Lin looked around, stood on his heels, and slowly turned around in a circle to make sure he was in the right place.

This was the place where Irene beat herself and Daniel up.

The two of them were playing hide-and-seek. Daniel, for some reason, locked himself in the dungeon. The servants couldn't find Daniel anywhere, and Irene was alarmed.

Finally, Irene pulled Daniel out of the dungeon. Because of this, the two brothers were beaten up at the dungeon door.

Ye Lin recalled the past events, stopped two inches away from the stone wall, and stretched out his hand to touch the stone wall in front of him.

I remember that at that time, Irene was standing here. There was a stone brick at the bottom of the stone wall that was a circle larger than her hand. She pressed it down hard.

"Boom..."

"Master!"

Ah Hui took a quick step forward and pulled Ye Lin back to block him behind him, looking around as if facing a great enemy.

After Ah Hui, the other bodyguards reacted and quickly surrounded Ye Lin.

Perhaps due to years of disrepair, the stone wall in front of them first made a noise, and then slowly opened to both sides. Behind the secret door, a deep stone staircase appeared in front of everyone.

"Stay calm."

Ye Lin stuck his head out from behind Ah Hui and patted his shoulder gently, successfully scaring Ah Hui.

Ah Hui seemed to have been frightened out of his wits by explosives. He froze in place, his mouth the only thing that could move. He even forgot his respect for the young master and roared, "How can you expect me to stay calm? I thought it was going to explode! Damn it! I was scared to death!"

Ye Lin was indeed in the wrong in this matter. If Ah Hui had not been worried about him, he would not have followed him to the basement.

Ye Lin covered his mouth and coughed lightly, trying to comfort Ah Hui: "Don't worry, if it really explodes, I will definitely die with you."

Ah Hui was not comforted at all. Instead, his eyes went dark and he just wanted to die on the spot: "Thank you very much, Master. I hope you will be fine in the future. Don't open your mouth to comfort others."

Going down the stone steps, there is a row of half-person-high cells on the left, and a long-dried water dungeon on the right. There is no sunlight here all year round, and the air is filled with a disgusting stench.

In the middle of the main road, there is a pile of explosives one meter high, tied together in bundles. On the left side of the explosives is a chronograph second hand, which is ticking and changing the numbers.

The bodyguards were shocked and quickly surrounded him to figure out how to defuse the bomb.

Ye Lin was pulled by Ah Hui and stood at the dungeon entrance waiting far away.

Several bodyguards looked solemn as they discussed the bomb pile intensely for a minute, then quickly packed up and left.

The leading white bodyguard trotted over to Ye Lin, wiped the sweat from his forehead, and said anxiously, "Master, we must evacuate immediately. The bomb will explode in seven minutes, and it will take at least ten minutes to dismantle it. It's too late!"

It seems that the Fairburn family’s ancestral home that has been there for hundreds of years can no longer be preserved.

Ye Lin made a prompt decision and said in a deep voice: "Retreat!"

The entire Fairburn family was gathered in the garden outside the castle. More than 200 servants and bodyguards gathered together, making as much noise as if they were at a fair.

Ye Lin retreated quickly from the basement surrounded by bodyguards. In the hallway, they ran into Xavier who was rushing into the house and a group of bodyguards who were chasing him.

The two brothers bumped into each other hard.

"Xavier?! Why are you running in!" Ye Lin scolded Xavier and pulled him out.

Xavier's face turned pale. Seeing Ye Lin, he seemed to have found his backbone. He grabbed Ye Lin's arm and said in panic: "Brother, Daniel didn't come out. I looked for him twice in the garden and couldn't find him! Is there really a bomb in the house?"

"What did you say? Daniel didn't come out!" Ye Lin grabbed Xavier's wrist fiercely, his voice breaking out of control.

Xavier shook his head vigorously. He spoke incoherently due to panic: "No, I was in the living room just now. He went back to his room. I ran out with the crowd when I heard the alarm, but I waited for a long time and didn't see him come out! He must still be in the room!"

"Brother, I've confirmed that there's really no Daniel outside! He didn't come out, brother!"

Ye Lin's blood seemed to freeze instantly, and his vision went dark. He barely managed to stand up with the help of Xavier. Then he pinched his thigh hard, forcing himself to think more clearly.

Feeling a little tight in the chest, Ye Lin threw Xavier to Ah Hui and quickly took out the medicine from his pocket and took it, while explaining the rest of the matter.

In a moment, Ye Lin had made a decision.

He spoke very quickly, but his tone was calm and his expression was clear, as if he was not leaving a last word, but was going to catch a movie that was about to start.

"Ah Hui, take Xavier out. I'll go find Daniel. No one needs to follow me. I pay you wages, but I can't buy your lives. If I can't get out, tell Rebecca that the Ye family's money will be divided equally among the Ye family, and my assets in Fairburn will be divided equally between Daniel and Xavier."

"Ahui, I leave this matter to you."

Without waiting for anyone's reaction, Ye Lin snatched the watch off Ah Hui's wrist and rushed into the castle without hesitation.

There are still five minutes until the explosion.

“Young Master!!”

"elder brother!!"

Ah Hui and Xavier both cried out heartbreakingly.

Then they all raised their feet and chased after him.

Ah Hui was more rational than Xavier. After running two steps, he suddenly remembered the young master's instructions. The young master had entrusted the funeral arrangements to him, and he had to make the young master feel at ease.

I took a deep look at the empty corridor ahead.

Ah Hui steeled his heart and relied on reason to force his toes to change direction. He stopped Xavier next to him and stopped him from entering the castle with a hoarse voice: "Master Xavier, the master told you to go out and wait."

Xavier struggled violently under Ah Hui's hands, punching, kicking, and resisting the bodyguards who were chasing him: "You are crazy! Ah Hui, didn't you see my brother went in by himself! He will die in there! Tell them to let me go!"

Ah Hui was already upset, and when he heard Xavier say that Ye Lin would die in there, the string of rationality was completely broken.

"Enough!" Ah Hui roared, his eyes red as he grabbed Xavier's collar and stared into his eyes.

Word by word, gritting his teeth, he said to him, "You must convey every word the young master said to Madam Rebecca, or I will not let you go even if I become a ghost! Now, get out of here immediately!"

Ah Hui's eyes were sharp, and he coldly ordered the other bodyguards to take Xavier away. Then, he resolutely turned around and followed Ye Lin's footsteps to a deadly situation.

"No!!" A miserable cry echoed through the castle.

Xavier struggled frantically under the restraints of the bodyguards, but it was of no avail. He could only watch Ye Lin and Ah Hui disappear into the hallway together.

There were still four and a half minutes until the explosion.

The moment Ye Lin stepped back into the castle, his heart calmed down completely. He cleared his mind of all distracting thoughts. He forgot about the explosion, his family, and even death.

Now only one thought occupied Ye Lin's mind.

He wants to take Daniel out, he must take Daniel out today.

Running through the living room, I caught a glimpse of the elevator on the first floor. My feet, uncontrollable by my brain, braked suddenly and turned to rush towards the elevator.

He was very self-aware. Between running up to the third floor and taking the elevator, of course the elevator was faster.

Kicked open the bedroom door at the end of the third floor,

There was no one in the small living room. Ye Lin's breath was choked and he almost fell to the ground. He barely stood up by holding on to the sofa.

Holding onto the last glimmer of hope, he stumbled towards the bedroom, calling out to Daniel in panic: "Daniel? Daniel! Speak!"

Fortunately, someone in the bedroom responded to him.

"Brother! I'm here, it hurts so much."

The hanging heart finally fell back into my stomach.

Daniel was taking a bath just now. When the alarm sounded, he hurriedly climbed out of the bathtub. In his anxiety, he slipped and fractured his thigh.

I just crawled into the bedroom.

Ye Lin kicked open the bedroom door, and a large white maggot wriggling on the ground suddenly hit his pupil.

"Oh my god, what's going on with you?"

It was so shocking that Ye Lin didn't care about the explosives downstairs that were working against time. He went around to the bed and pulled a sheet to cover Daniel, then bent down, carried the man up and ran downstairs.

At this moment, there are only two and a half minutes left until the explosion.
