Chapter 14: Did I make you angry?

【Acuo baby, I'm here! 】

Song Lehan likes to reply to every WeChat message he receives.

When they first met, every time Xu Jiangcuo sent a message, Song Lehan would always reply one by one. Even if they had already met, she would catch up, never letting any of his words go unanswered.

Even when they were breaking up, Song Lehan was like this.

Only then did Xu Jiangcuo realize that this behavior did not mean that Song Lehan treated him differently.

But, she is just that kind of person.

"Wow~ There really are big chicken legs!" Song Lehan's voice was lively, and she looked really happy. Her eyes stayed on the food for a few seconds, and she suddenly looked up, her eyebrows curved, "Acuo, the food you made is all my favorite!"

"Acuo, you are so nice to me!"

Xu Jiangcuo listened to her sweet words. In the past, he would have been so happy that he would have taken off.

But now, he was just listening to these words and couldn't take them seriously.

Seeing that Xu Jiangcuo ignored him, Song Lehan raised his eyebrows, picked up the chopsticks with his right hand, and tried to pick up the chicken leg, but he couldn't pick it up.

She did not ask Xu Jiangcuo for help, but kept repeating it to herself, deliberately competing with him.

It’s okay to be proactive, but it must be supported by responses.

Xu Jiangcuo noticed the movement from Song Lehan's side and paused, "Do you need help?"

"No need!" Song Lehan responded angrily.

Seeing that she failed to get the chicken leg again, Xu Jiangcuo sighed helplessly, and then put the chicken leg into her bowl.

He stared at Song Lehan and asked, "Did I make you angry?"

Song Lehan clenched the chopsticks with his fingertips, his expression tense.

She hadn't been in a good mood since her emotional outburst yesterday. Adding to that her insomnia last night, she couldn't control her mood, sometimes happy, sometimes sad.

Song Lehan knew that she had no reason to lose her temper with Xu Jiangcuo, but she couldn't control herself at all.

I had no choice but to keep silent and adjust myself silently.

"No!" When he raised his head again, Song Lehan smiled broadly again.

"I just wanted to see if I could use chopsticks with my right hand." She slumped over, pretending to be regretful. "Unfortunately, I failed."

Xu Jiangcuo's eyes were always on Song Lehan's face. Although he could not see anything unusual, his intuition told him that something was wrong.

During the meal afterwards, Xu Jiangcuo looked up from time to time and saw Song Lehan's smiling face every time.

But she became silent.

After dinner, Xu Jiangcuo wanted to take Song Lehan to change the gauze, but was called away by the instructor, so he had to let Song Lehan go alone.

It just so happened that Song Lehan wanted to talk to Jiang Yue about his illness.

"Why are you calling so early?" Jiang Yue, who was woken up, said in a bad tone, "If you have something to say, tell me quickly!"

Song Lehan clutched his phone tightly and muttered, "My depression has relapsed."

There was silence on the other end of the line.

"I'll have someone bring you medicine now." Jiang Yue's tone softened. "How are you now?"

Song Lehan was in her emotionally sensitive period and couldn't help crying when she heard about the concern.

Even if the other person is Jiang Yue, whom she hates the most.

She sniffled, trying hard to hold back her tears. "Just... emotional instability, and I can't help scratching myself."

"Where are you hurt?" After the rustling sound of someone putting on clothes, Jiang Yue said, "I'll pick you up now and take you to the hospital for a checkup."

"Don't--"

Song Lehan refused bluntly.

She had finally come to this point with Xu Jiangcuo, and it seemed that with a little more effort, he would be able to reconcile with her. If Xu Jiangcuo knew about her relationship with Jiang Yue at this critical moment, all her efforts would be wasted.

Everything will return to the starting point.

"What's wrong?" Jiang Yue's voice sank. "Are you afraid he'll find out?"

He chuckled and said in an aggressive tone, "Song Lehan, could it be that you really like him?"

"If he knew what you did, do you think he could forgive you?!"

Song Lehan lowered his eyes, feeling more depressed.

"I don't like him," she explained. "I just feel that my relationship with him is better now. If he sees me, I won't be able to explain it clearly."

"Humph," Jiang Yue snorted coldly and warned, "You'd better think so!"

The next second, he changed the subject, "Really, we don't need to go to the hospital?"

"No, I can control it by taking medicine on time now."

"All right then."

The phone was hung up instantly.

Song Lehan looked around vigilantly, and when he realized that there was no one around, he left.

After changing the gauze, another day of training began.

The main instructor taught them boxing moves one by one, while the other instructors were responsible for correcting their movements.

Song Lehan's hand was injured, and it would hurt if she used a little force, so she couldn't do the movements properly.

Since instructors often came to her, the director naturally had to focus the camera on her.

Another mistake, and this time it was Xu Jiangcuo who corrected her.

He reached out his hand, placed it under Song Lehan's arm, and gently lifted it up, moving her arm a little higher. Then, he stretched out his other hand, pressed her shoulder, and lifted it back.

"Pull your stomach in and engage your core."

Song Lehan was a little distracted at first, but when he heard Xu Jiangcuo's voice, he perked up again.

This is another opportunity to build closer ties.

"Acuo!" Her pupils lit up and her whole body became energetic.

Xu Jiangcuo glanced in the direction of the camera, put his index finger on his lips, and made a soft "hush" sound.

He kind of hates the camera.

If it weren't for Song Lehan, he wouldn't have signed up on his own initiative.

Song Lehan shut up obediently. Seeing the instructor change his movements, she also followed suit in a panic.

The movement is not difficult, but it requires lifting your legs and exerting force.

Song Lehan followed suit and managed to maintain her balance, but when she thought of Xu Jiangcuo next to her, she became unstable.

Sure enough, Xu Jiangcuo stepped forward and supported her in time.

The camera focuses on the two people.

Song Lehan looked up with a smile on his face, "Acuo, thank goodness you are here, otherwise I would be hurt again."

As she spoke, she deliberately stuck out her tongue and made a crying face.

Xu Jiangcuo was amused and the corners of his lips rose slightly, but after just a moment, he retracted his smile.

"It's time for the next move." He reminded.

Song Lehan immediately stood up and saluted him with a serious expression, "Yes, instructor!"

After saying that, she smiled mischievously again and followed the instructor to do the next action.

After learning the entire set of boxing techniques, Song Lehan didn't perform many of the moves correctly.

Later, because Xu Jiangcuo was beside her, she was so busy flirting with him that she didn't take her lessons seriously. The instructor saw this and, at the director's instruction, didn't say anything but reminded Xu Jiangcuo to remember his identity.

After the boxing match, Song Lehan received the medicine that Jiang Yue had sent over.

She took one and swallowed it with water. The next second, Xu Jiangcuo appeared beside her.

He picked up the medicine bottle beside him and asked curiously, "What are you taking?"
