Chapter 56 The man's face was slapped to one side...

One o'clock in the morning.

An unknown blogger posted a blog titled "The First Strike After Reaching the Shore is to Slay My Beloved," which attracted attention from netizens because it tagged the provincial TV station and its well-known media personality, Qin Qiao. By 5 a.m., the hashtags #QinQiaoPoisonousWoman#, #ChenJiaShuIsSoPitiful#, and #AFamilyOfWolvesAndDogs# appeared on the top of the trending searches, and their rankings continued to rise.

Chen Jiashu has been trending on Weibo a lot lately, and Tian Jiayue habitually checks it every morning. When she saw the number one trending topic, #QinQiaoPoisonousWoman#, she was shocked and immediately clicked on it.

At the very top of the list is a blog post that has been shared and commented on by tens of thousands of people, reaching the top of the trending topics. The blogger, speaking as a friend who felt indignant about the injustice, wrote a lengthy post of nearly a thousand words, filled with sympathy and indignation for Chen Jiashu, recounting what he had seen and heard.

Tomjk:

I had a few drinks tonight and couldn't sleep, tossing and turning. There are some things I just have to say. Lately, I keep seeing the saying, "The first sword strike after landing is to kill the one you love," and it really bothers me because it's a stark reality I'm living with.

Let me tell you the story of a friend of mine (let's call him C) and Qin Qiao, a now-famous media worker at the provincial TV station.

C and Ms. Qin met when he was still starting his own business. He had a little money, but it was all tied up in cash, and he was under so much pressure that he couldn't sleep.

Did you know that C never visited Ms. Qin during her graduate studies? Why? Because of that sentence:

"If she has seen the outside world and met more people, and still thinks I am the best choice for her, then that will be the real choice."

When C said those words, even I, a grown man, had tears in my eyes. I ask you, how many men could do that? For Qin Qiao's future, he poured not only money but also his whole heart into it.

That's not all. When Qin Qiao's father was seriously ill and hospitalized, she was abroad and couldn't come back. It was C, as her son-in-law, who took care of everything, contacting specialists, staying by her bedside, and paying her medical bills, fulfilling all his responsibilities as a son.

Whenever Qin Qiao's family has any trouble, C helps with everything, big or small, from relatives to relatives, contributing money and effort. Their whole family should kneel down in gratitude for this kindness!

Later, when C's business ran into trouble (the specific reasons were complicated, but he had no selfish motives), his first thought wasn't for himself, but rather for the potential impact on Qin Qiao, who was then a financial news anchor, fearing damage to her reputation and ruin of her career. So he made the most foolish decision: he took all the blame himself and proactively filed for divorce, pushing her out of the mire. He thought this was protection.

To everyone's surprise, Ms. Qin received six million yuan in the divorce settlement and couldn't wait to go abroad, never once visiting him! Not even once!

C wrote countless letters to Ms. Qin, but they all disappeared without a trace.

After leaving, he was still thinking about Ms. Qin... My friend could see through the treacherous undercurrents of the business world at a glance, but he could never see through Ms. Qin's pretense. Sure enough, he went to find her again, but the news he received was that Ms. Qin had "married and had children" and told him not to bother her anymore.

So he decided he didn't want to live anymore, and this fool locked himself in his house and took a whole bottle of antidepressants in one go...

And what about Ms. Qin? With the path paved for her by C and the steps he built by sacrificing himself, her career soared, and she became a successful woman who was glamorous and commanding in front of the camera.

Looking back now, how ironic it all seems! C is a modern-day Fan Jin, except that after he passed the imperial examination, it wasn't that he went mad, but rather that his "Butcher Hu" family ruthlessly threw him away like a rag!

"The first sword strike after landing is to slay your beloved"? Qin Qiao, this is more than just "slaying". You've squeezed every last drop of blood, flesh, and marrow from your beloved, then piled up bones to build a high platform, stood on it, and kicked him off, simply because he was blocking the view you were about to see.

Don't you have a heart? The man who pawned your grandmother's gold to pay your tuition, the man who took your father to his death, doesn't he deserve your pity?

Now you're on stage, talking eloquently about business ethics and social responsibility. But ask yourself honestly, what ethical principles have you upheld? What responsibilities have you taken on towards the greatest benefactors, mentors, and lovers in your life?

I feel sorry for my friend. His biggest mistake in life was loving and trusting you unconditionally.

Tian Jiayue finished reading it with tears streaming down her face, the screen becoming wet with her tears. Regardless of the author's intentions, it was true that nothing her brother did for his sister-in-law was fake.

She raised her hand and used her sleeve to wipe away the tears on her face.

Netizen A: "I'm crying so hard, 'After she's seen the outside world...' What an incredibly love-struck fool of a man! Sisters, do men like this really exist? Why can't I meet one!"

Netizen B: "Where are those relatives who received favors? Why aren't they speaking up now? They're all birds of a feather!"

Netizen C: "Even Pan Jinlian would kowtow and call you 'Grandma' if she saw you!"

Netizen D: "Why isn't the provincial TV station responding yet? Is this how your platform's reputation and hiring standards are?"

Two hours later, Chen Jiashu violently pushed open the door to Zhu Ao's office, the glass door creaking and nearly hitting the wall.

The man's face was gloomy, and his eyes were bloodshot, almost as if they were about to bleed.

The door slowly closed, completely shutting out all the curious and frightened gazes from outside.

"Jia Shu." Zhu Ao put down his pen, stood up from behind his desk, and stepped forward to greet him. "What's wrong?"

Before he could finish speaking, a vicious fist smashed into his nose!

"Ugh!" Zhu Ao groaned in pain, suddenly covering his nose where blood was gushing out, and staggered back several steps before barely managing to steady himself.

Chen Jiashu gazed at his hunched figure and stepped closer. Just as he was about to touch Zhu Ao, he threw away his white cane, grabbed Zhu Ao's shoulders, and pulled him close to his face.

"Who told you to do this!"

He growled, his voice trembling with extreme anger, his hot breath hitting Zhu Ao's face, which was flushed from holding his breath.

Warm blood gushed from his nostrils, bypassed the corners of his lips, and dripped down his jawline, splashing into bright red flowers on the smooth tile floor.

Zhu Ao looked up, meeting Chen Jiashu's bloodshot eyes. He lowered his voice, "I... I just don't want you to be deceived by her again..."

"Zhu Ao!!"

Chen Jiashu roared the name through gritted teeth, his voice echoing in the large office, making everyone's eardrums tingle.

The frosted glass wall reflected the shadowy figures moving about. Clearly, the people outside had heard the commotion and were anxious, yet dared not rush in.

Zhu Ao withdrew his gaze from the corner of his eye and looked again at Chen Jiashu, who looked as if he wanted to devour him alive.

"What exactly do you want?!"

Zhu Ao's gaze paused almost imperceptibly. He wiped the blood from his face with the back of his hand, leaving a long trail of blood that made him look even more disheveled. "Jia Shu... don't you really understand?"

He was met with another heavy punch, which slammed into his left chest.

The third punch followed immediately, striking his cheekbone precisely and knocking his face to the side. His glasses flew off instantly, shattering on the ground.

Zhu Ao staggered back a step, gritted his teeth to suppress all cries of pain, and forced himself to stand up straight.

A layer of frost covered Chen Jiashu's face, which made his bloodshot eyes even more terrifying.

Even though he was mentally prepared, Zhu Ao still felt a chill run down his spine. He saw Chen Jiashu take a few steps back, his left heel kicking the white cane.

Chen Jiashu then bent down and groped to pick it up.

Then, he suddenly turned around and faced Zhuo:

“Zhu Ao,”

His voice had calmed down, but it was as cold as a blade formed of ice: "If anything happens to Qin Qiao, I will not let you go."

After saying that, Chen Jiashu tapped his white cane and resolutely turned to leave.

Outside the door, Tian Jiayue heard from her colleagues that Chairman Chen had thrown a tantrum and even physically assaulted General Manager Zhu in his office. She dropped the documents in her hand and ran over as fast as she could.

He bumped into Chen Jiashu, who had just come out of the office.

The man's face was frosty, as if he could freeze everything, and the people standing at their workstations dared not approach him.

"Brother!" Tian Jiayue turned around and followed closely behind Chen Jiashu.

As she entered the elevator, Tian Jiayue pressed the open button. The door opened, and the man stepped inside. He turned to face the doorway, then took out his phone from his pocket. He lost his balance, and the phone slipped from his hand and fell to the ground.

His hand was trembling.

Tian Jiayue picked up the phone and put it in Chen Jiashu's hand, only to realize she had forgotten to press the floor button: "Brother, which floor are you going to?"

The elevator doors closed, but it didn't descend.

Following the voice prompts, I found Qin Qiao's phone number, but when I dialed it, the phone was already switched off and the call automatically ended.

Chen Jiashu had attended a banquet last night, but because he had an important document to sign, he flew back to Lanchuan overnight.

After reviewing the documents, it was already past midnight. He didn't go home but slept at the company headquarters. He had just gone to the legal department and ran into General Manager Li on his way back. General Manager Li subtly reminded him to check Weibo.

Who would have thought that the internet would be flooded with insults and abuse directed at Qin Qiao?

This is devastating for someone working in journalism.

He immediately called Qin Qiao, but her phone was off!

It's always off!

Even Yang Shuhua's cell phone is switched off!

And the person who claimed to be his friend

It must be him!

Chen Jiashu wanted nothing more than to kill Zhu Ao. If Qin Qiao were to suffer even the slightest harm, he would make him pay the price!

The elevator doors opened and closed, closed and opened again.

The man's face was frighteningly pale, and his tightly clenched hands made a creaking sound. Tian Jiayue was a little scared as she watched, and a chill ran down her spine.

"Brother." Tian Jiayue's voice was tight.

Chen Jiashu shuddered slightly and coldly uttered two words: "First floor."

Upon reaching the first floor, just as they stepped out of the elevator, a woman's figure rushed towards them like an out-of-control train, abruptly stopping in front of Chen Jiashu.

"Smack!"

A crisp, loud slap landed hard on Chen Jiashu's face.

The man's face was turned to one side by the blow, and clear pink finger marks quickly appeared on his pale cheek.

Everything happened in the blink of an eye, so fast that even Tian Jiayue, who was able to see, didn't have time to react.

Yang Shuhua's face was flushed with rage, her whole body trembling, and her screams, tinged with tears, were fierce and hoarse:

"Are you trying to ruin Qiaoqiao?!"
