Chapter 164: Treat His Hidden Illness

The menu was passed to Xu Yanfeng, who first asked Xia Xi, "Do you want Chinese or Western food?"

Although Xia Xi had exercised, she wasn't very hungry. The double-mix noodles Xu Yanfeng had brought her that morning were too filling, and even though it was a small portion, she still felt full. She leaned in closer to him and flipped through the menu: "I'll just have a vegetable salad."

Xu Yanfeng was worried that she wasn't full, so he ordered an extra serving of seafood pasta for her. He tilted his head and whispered to her, "The pasta here is handmade and tastes good. You can try it."

Xia Xi listened to him.

Xu Yanfeng ordered some Chinese food for himself, closed the menu and handed it back to the waiter.

Lingyan really didn't want to look at them, but she couldn't control her gaze. Every time she looked at them, she would feel uncomfortable for a long time. Even the chrysanthemum tea that cleared away heat and reduced internal heat couldn't suppress the bitterness that was surging in her heart.

No one understood her feelings. Even if her good sisters stood on her side, they couldn't fully empathize with her.

If she hadn't seen it with her own eyes, she would not have imagined that Xu Yanfeng would have such a side to him. He was a naturally arrogant person, but he could serve a girl in a proper and considerate manner. There was no coldness and alienation on his face that she was familiar with, only concern and care, so sincere and touching.

Unfortunately, it doesn't belong to her.

She was jealous of Xia Xi and also envied Xia Xi.

After a short wait, the waiter brought everyone's orders. Xia Xi had a salad and seafood pasta in front of her. The pasta Xu Yanfeng had recommended was indeed delicious, with a rich sauce. The pasta wasn't the thin noodles you'd find on the market, but finger-width noodles, with a smooth and chewy texture. The shrimp, squid, and clams inside were incredibly fresh.

Xu Yanfeng would occasionally serve her Chinese food: glass pigeon, chicken with bamboo fungus and matsutake, fried grouper with lily and asparagus, and duck with glutinous rice... She had only planned to eat a few bites to get by, but seeing that she was about to be stuffed again, Xia Xi quickly patted his leg under the table and said, "I really can't eat anymore."

"You are very thin, you should eat more." Xu Yanfeng said.

Xia Xi bit her fork and blinked at him: "What did you say about me?"

"Very thin." Xu Yanfeng repeated.

She is visibly thin, with a waist that can be held in one hand, slender limbs, and a tall and slender figure. It would not be noticeable if she gained a few pounds.

Xia Xi covered her lips and said in a voice that only he could hear: "Actually, I just look thin. I have flesh where it should be. You'll see later."

Xu Yanfeng: “……?”

Xia Xi lowered her head and smiled, then drank a sip of matsutake chicken soup and ended her lunch.

She had secretly made the decision to help Xu Yanfeng treat his hidden illness. Perhaps with some stimulation, he would get better. Even if he wasn't completely cured, at least it would help.
