Chapter 186 Can't I Stay?

Xu Yanfeng booked a five-star hotel, but Xia Xi had never stayed there. He turned on the navigation and drove for nearly forty minutes. When they arrived, the sunset had dissipated and was covered by a blue sky.

For convenience, they should have parked the car at the main entrance of the hotel, but Xia Xi drove into the underground parking lot. Xu Yanfeng did not comment on this and told her, "Drive slowly on the way back and be careful."

Xia Xi pressed her thumb on the seat belt button and paused for a moment. She hadn't told him yet that she didn't plan to go back tonight.

"I'll take you upstairs and take a look at the environment of your room." Xia Xi gave a very reasonable reason.

Until this moment, Xu Yanfeng had no doubts about her motives. He nodded and said "OK", then took her upstairs in the elevator.

He lived in a luxurious suite, so the environment was impeccable. The air was filled with a light fragrance, like green hills covered in mist after rain. The temperature was constant and the humidity was just right, and the whole space didn't feel the slightest bit of summer stuffiness.

The master bedroom is located further inwards and is more secluded. It is connected to a terrace. In the hot summer, no one will go to the terrace to enjoy the scenery. However, just by looking out from the room, you can appreciate the tall green plants swaying gently in the wind against the background of the deep blue sky.

The room was so quiet that the sounds of heartbeats and breathing were amplified.

Xia Xi finally put down the shoulder bag she had been protecting all the way, took a quick walk around, and turned to look for Xu Yanfeng. He was standing in front of the refrigerator drinking mineral water, his neck tilted back, his Adam's apple rolling, which made her feel a little thirsty.

Xu Yanfeng noticed her gaze, lowered his eyes slightly, glanced at her sideways, and stopped drinking water: "What do you want to drink?"

Xia Xi asked casually, "What are they?"

Xu Yanfeng opened the refrigerator, glanced at the various drinks inside, listed a few, and simply opened the refrigerator door as wide as possible, letting her come and choose by herself.

Xia Xi walked closer, but didn't look at the neatly arranged beverage bottles, only at his eyes.

Xu Yanfeng didn't receive the signal she sent, and said "hmm" with a rising tone: "Which one do you want to drink?"

My target is you, not the drink, idiot. Xia Xi sighed with a smile in her heart, and unconsciously smiled on her face. She put her hands behind her back, closed the refrigerator door, leaned her back against it, grabbed his collar with both hands, pulled him in, raised her face to meet his, and kissed him.

Xu Yanfeng was stunned for a moment, still holding the bottle of mineral water in his hand. His fingers suddenly tightened, squeezing the water in the bottle so that it was about to overflow the bottle. He put the bottle on the counter next to the refrigerator and freed his hand to put his arm around her shoulders.

The kiss that was interrupted in the box continued and stretched to infinity.

The sky outside the window gradually darkened, from deep blue to dark blue, and then to pitch black, like a switch, controlling Xia Xi's breathing, from smooth to rapid, and then to suffocation.

When their lips parted, her eyes were hazy, her head hung low, her forehead resting on his chest.

Before falling in love, Xu Yanfeng didn't know that kissing could make people forget time and become addicted to it, making all perception of the outside world disappear.

Caressing her back gently, Xu Yanfeng said in a low, hoarse voice, "It's already dark..."

Xia Xi said "hmm", his heart beating fast in his chest. He wondered if he was going to say, "Then stay."

As it turned out, her wishful thinking was too much. Xu Yanfeng's original words were: "I'm worried about you driving. Should I ask the hotel to send a car to take you? I'll have a designated driver drive your car back tomorrow."

Xia Xi: “…”

Who is this person who is so unromantic?

It’s Xu Yanfeng, then it’s not surprising.

Xia Xi raised her head from his arms, her chin resting on his chest. Her eyes were still hot and slightly red, and her lips were wet, making her look particularly charming. "Can't I stay?"

If he doesn't say anything and she says it herself, will he still refuse?

The suite didn't just have a master bedroom, there were other rooms as well. She wanted to stay and not worry about having nowhere to sleep, but Xu Yanfeng was concerned: "How are you going to tell your family? You're coming out with me and you won't be back home overnight."

"My sister knows." Xia Xi said, "She will help me cover up in front of grandma and mom."

Xu Yanfeng noticed that she used the word "cover up," indicating that she didn't intend to tell the truth to her elders. He thought silently for a moment, but still disagreed: "I'll take you back."

"I won't leave." Xia Xi grabbed his waist tightly and acted like a rogue.

Xu Yanfeng raised his wrist from behind her and looked at his watch. It was not too late, so he could allow her to stay for another hour, so he did not rush to send her away.

*

At 9:30 in the evening, when the family was still awake, Xia Xi came back with a dejected look on his face. He greeted a few people in the living room and went straight upstairs.

Xia Yue dropped the crocheted yarn in her hand, stood up and followed, entered Xia Xi's room and closed the door: "Why are you back so early? I told Mom that you wouldn't be staying at home tonight, and that you took Xu Yanfeng to meet friends and play cards all night. You came back unexpectedly and scared me."

Xia Xi had an expression that said "don't mention it" on her face. She threw herself onto the sofa, lying on her back like a corpse, and dropped the bag in her hand onto the carpet.

"You and Xu Yanfeng..." Xia Yue asked softly, "How are you doing?"

Xia Xi closed his eyes and waved his hand.

Xia Yue didn't understand what she meant, and was too embarrassed to ask too directly. She pursed her lips and spoke with difficulty: "The experience was not very good?"

Xia Xi coughed and opened her eyes. She didn't know if the experience was good or not, because she had never experienced it before. She confessed, "Nothing happened between us."

Xia Yue was silent.

"He's such a gentleman. I hinted so clearly, but he remained unmoved." Xia Xi explained everything. "He felt it was not good for me to stay out all night when my family knew I was going out alone with my boyfriend."
