Xu Yanfeng leaned over and kissed her on the lips.
Xia Xi was caught off guard, her eyelashes fluttered twice, and her expression was dazed.
The face so close to her was so charming and elegant that she raised her hand to touch it. In the past, when she parted with him, she always wanted to cling to him for a while, finding a bunch of words to delay the time. But today, she didn't do that. She even forgot to kiss goodbye.
Xia Xi excused her behavior: "I have to go back to the dormitory to get something. I'm afraid of being late for class, so I forgot." As she spoke, she knelt on one knee on the edge of the passenger seat, leaned over the armrest, put her hands on his shoulders and kissed him deeply on the lips.
Xu Yanfeng patted her head and let her go.
The car stayed in the same place for a long time. He looked at the key chain left by Xia Xi on the passenger seat, picked it up and put it in his hand. The edge of the key poked his palm, and his heart felt like it was being poked by something.
What's wrong with her?
Yesterday she said her cold hadn't healed, so he could interpret her absentmindedness as a sign of physical discomfort. However, he hadn't seen her take any medicine, nor had he noticed any signs of a runny nose, cough, or fever, so he figured it wasn't serious.

Xia Xi didn't know what Xu Yanfeng had imagined because of her change in attitude. She hurried back to the dormitory, took her textbooks and homework, and prepared to go to the classroom for class.
Wang Qiuyu smiled and reminded: "Don't take the wrong textbook again."
Xia Xi pursed his lips and forced a smile. After being reminded by her, he carefully checked the textbook and found that he had not taken the wrong one.
While there was still some time, she changed into a black and white plaid short jacket and pulled her long hair out from the collar. Her three roommates were waiting for her nearby. They caught a glimpse of the red marks on her fair neck and gave her an ambiguous smile, unperturbed.
Xia Xi didn't notice and put on her bag: "Let's go."
After a torturous morning, classes were over. Xia Xi asked her roommate to go to the cafeteria for lunch and not wait for her. She had something to do—actually, she found a place where no one was around and called Xia Yue: "Sister, Officer Lu contacted me last night..."
Xia Yue interrupted her: "Dad has been arrested."
