Chapter 230 I had a very long dream

Her mother-in-law, Wang Yuzhen, put the child in a red plastic bucket and placed it on the kitchen counter. The child opened his mouth and cried heartbreakingly, almost choking, his face flushed red. Wang Yuzhen cursed at the child while she prepared the milk powder.

"Just like your unlucky mother, you're worthless. All you do is cry all day long." Wang Yuzhen scolded her furiously, pinching the child's face, turning the already red skin even redder. "You're sick all the time, and you're so delicate. One day you have a fever, the next you have a cough. If you don't get better, I'll throw you out to feed the dogs."

Before Wang Yuzhen closed the bottle cap, she spat in it, not even testing the temperature, and shoved it directly into the child's mouth. She said irritably, "Stop crying! If you keep crying, your mother will wake up and start arguing with me again. You're useless, causing me trouble all day long."

Xia Yue was trembling all over. She rushed over, snatched the bottle from the child's mouth, and smashed it hard on Wang Yuzhen's face, cursing her as a beast.

She had accidentally discovered this. When she wasn't looking, she didn't know how much Wang Yuzhen had mixed into the milk powder.

It was only when Xia Yue got closer that she realized the plastic bucket was half full of water. Her daughter, less than a year old, was soaking in it, the water reaching up to her armpits. Her fingers trembled as she reached in to feel the water; it was cold.

She opened her mouth and cried uncontrollably, but no sound came out. Her throat felt as if it had been cut by a blade.

Xia Yue trembled as she carried the child out, took off her heavy, soaked clothes, and wrapped her cold body in a blanket. The child felt her mother's embrace and gradually stopped crying.

Xia Yue glared at Wang Yuzhen with hatred and threw everything he could get his hands on at her.

She wants Wang Yuzhen to die!

Wang Yuzhen was no pushover. She didn't react at first and took a few hits. When she came to her senses, she rushed over to slap Xia Yue. She knew she was in the wrong, but she refused to admit it. "The child has a fever! You gave her the infection. I'm trying to save her. You don't know shit. Who gave you the guts to fight me? Tomorrow I'll tell my son to kick you. You and your daughter, get out!"

Xia Yue was stunned and had no strength to fight back. She picked up the kitchen utensils from the sink and wanted to hit Wang Yuzhen like she did just now, but she didn't expect that what she held in her hand was a sharp knife, and Wang Yuzhen pounced on her just in time.

The knife stabbed into Wang Yuzhen's body.

Zhou Hongsheng was playing games in his room. Even with his headphones on, he could hear the quarrel coming from the kitchen. He thought it was just another minor quarrel like before and was used to it. He was fed up with the frequent battles between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law and was too lazy to get involved.

After finishing a round of games and with his bladder aching, Zhou Hongsheng reluctantly moved from his chair to go to the bathroom. The noise outside had just stopped, and his ears were quiet. He pretended to walk over, intending to say a few words to comfort her.

As far as the eye could see, Xia Yue was holding a knife in her hand, and the knife was covered with bright red blood, drops of which were dripping on the back of her feet. Wang Yuzhen fell to the ground, covering her abdomen with her hands, and blood flowed out from between her fingers. Her whole hand was stained red, and a pool of blood appeared on the white tiles.

shocking.

Apart from the mute baby in the house, Zhou Hongsheng was the only witness, and the result can be imagined.

Zhou Hongsheng's relatives introduced him to a famous lawyer who requested a heavy sentence for Xia Yue for intentional homicide. Zhou Hongsheng knew that Xia Yue's sister Xia Xi had given her a sum of money before going abroad.

She went in and the money was his.

Xia Xi met Xia Yue. She was frighteningly thin and her face was full of regret.

She regretted marrying Zhou Hongsheng. The love from campus to wedding dress ended up in more than just a mess, but a fight to the death. She regretted not being able to control her temper and accidentally killing Wang Yuzhen in a moment of impulse. She regretted not being more careful and discovering Wang Yuzhen's evil deeds earlier. Her daughter had suffered so much torture in places where she couldn't see. She was so young and couldn't say anything. Her crying was her asking her mother for help.

Xia Yue covered her face and cried, "Xixi, things have come to this. Don't waste time looking for a lawyer to appeal. It's useless. I made a mistake, I admit it, and this is the price I should pay. I only ask of you one thing..."

She seemed unable to speak, her lips moved several times but she didn't say anything else.

Xia Xi's eyes were red, and she rubbed the corner of her eye with her index fingernail: "You tell me, I will definitely help you do it."

Xia Yue knew her situation clearly, and it was precisely because she knew how difficult it was that she couldn't speak.

Last year, the family suffered a series of blows. Xuanxuan's heart disease relapsed and she needed another surgery. Xixi first paid for Xuanxuan's surgery, then settled the compensation of several workers and the families of the deceased, and finally took out two sums of money, one for her grandmother and mother, and one for her. Xixi still had some left for herself.

She didn't ask in detail at the time and just thought that Xixi borrowed the money from Xu Yanfeng. Later, when Xixi was about to go abroad to study and left in such a hurry, she realized that the money to help the family through the difficult times was taken from the Xu family by Xixi in exchange for separation from Xu Yanfeng.

Xia Xi lives alone abroad, without any relatives or friends to help her, and has a child who is about the same age as Youyou. As an older sister, it's fine if she can't help her younger sister, but how can she have the nerve to cause trouble for her?

Seeing that she was hesitant to speak, Xia Xi guessed it after a moment's thought and said for her, "Do you want me to help take care of Youyou?"

Xia Yue nodded slowly.

She couldn't leave Youyou to Zhou Hongsheng's care. That beast was worse than an animal. She had finally seen through his true nature. He wouldn't treat her daughter well. If she lived with him, her daughter wouldn't even survive. Even if she managed to raise her, she wouldn't be well educated.

She went through ten months of pregnancy and gave birth to her daughter with great difficulty. How could she bear to let her suffer?
