Chapter 231 Are You Losing Your Memory?

*

Lu Mingji went to the nurses' station and asked about Xia Xi's ward, then walked down the corridor, searching for Xia Xi in the VIP ward. The door was open, probably because the doctor had just left.

He held the flowers in his arms and knocked on the door twice with his free hands.

The two people in the ward were immersed in their own worlds and didn't hear anyone. Lu Mingji walked in, turned around the bathroom door, and his vision widened. Two people were hugging each other on the hospital bed.

Lu Mingji didn't see Xia Xi's face and hesitated for a moment, thinking that he had taken the wrong path. Just as he was about to leave, Xu Yanfeng's profile came into his sight, stopping him from turning around.

Xu Yanfeng noticed someone coming in, turned his head to take a look, then grabbed Xia Xi's arm and pulled him down.

Xia Xi looked at the person who suddenly appeared in the ward and blinked. She knew this person. It was Lu Mingji.

Lu Mingji suppressed the bitter feeling in his chest, walked to the bedside, placed the flowers and fruit basket on the bedside table, nodded politely to Xu Yanfeng, then looked at Xia Xi and asked, "How are you feeling? What did the doctor say?"

Xia Xi had a dazed look on her face. How could Lu Mingji appear in the same space with Xu Yanfeng, who was in his early twenties? This was too weird.

She looked at Xu Yanfeng, not understanding what went wrong.

Lu Mingji thought she was weird and stretched out a hand to wave in front of her eyes: "Are you crazy? Don't scare me."

Xu Yanfeng went to call a doctor without saying a word.

Xia Xi covered her forehead and lay back down, closing her eyes. Then, opening them again, she was in a hospital ward, not a first-class cabin on a plane. She tilted her head and asked, "What year is it now?" She wanted to be more specific. "What month and day?"

Lu Mingji uttered a "shit!", his expression almost terrified: "Xia Xi, are you losing your memory?!"

Xu Yanfeng, who came with a doctor, happened to hear the conversation between the two. His steps paused slightly, and then a thought popped into his mind - it would be great if she really had lost her memory.

The best memory is six years ago.

Seven years ago would be fine, or at worst, eight years ago when they first met. It would be better than now.
