He didn't send a message to Xia Xi in the end. Firstly, he hadn't thought of what to say, and secondly, it was too late.

The driver got back in the car. Xu Yanfeng glanced down at his watch. It was already five minutes past eight. He waited anxiously, feeling a sense of homesickness. "What time does kindergarten usually start? Eight-thirty or nine?"
If it was half past eight, some parents should have dropped off their children by this time, but he didn't see a single person.
The driver didn't let his inner speechlessness show on his face: "Mr. Xu, today is Saturday, and the children don't have school."

"Then have some porridge." Grandma looked much better than yesterday.
Xia Xi bought some health-promoting porridge and watched her grandmother finish it. After the nurse arrived and someone was looking after her grandmother, she took the car keys and went out.
After getting in the car, she called Su Jinru first. Before she opened her mouth, Su Jinru asked about her grandmother's health.
"The doctor came to see her, and she's doing fine. She ate a big bowl of porridge and wants some of Gan Lin's snacks. I'll go get them for her now." Take the elevator up and turn left. The second room is the ward where grandma is staying. The door is wide open and suppressed crying sounds can be heard from inside. Xia Xi's heart tightened. She had a bad feeling and quickened her pace to run in.
Xia Xi did not see her grandmother lying on the hospital bed. Xia Xuan was crying while hugging her two children. Her husband Chen Songbai was by her side, patting her shoulders and whispering comforting words.
Xia Xi's face turned pale. She didn't wear any makeup, so it was particularly obvious: "Where's grandma?"
Xia Xuan stood up with tears on her face and shouted, "Sister..." She couldn't say anything else.
Youyou wiped her tears with the back of her hand, crying until her voice was hoarse: "They said great-grandmother died. Mom, when people die, will they never open their eyes or speak again? Can great-grandmother please not die? I want her to play with me."
