Xia Xi walked up to the woman, smiled, and extended her hand. "Hello, I'm Xia Xi. I heard from Manager Tan that you were interested in my design style. I'm honored. I'm not sure what to call you."
Just as Huang Shiyu had described, the woman was adorned with jewelry, wearing a cream-colored, Chanel-style suit with a thin coat draped over it. Her light chestnut curly hair was half-tied up on one side of her head, with a single strand hanging down in front. Pearls and jade were adorned on her ears, neck, and wrists. Her skin was fair, and her makeup, though heavy but not exaggerated, didn't betray her actual age.
When you get close to her, a warm and fragrant breeze will fill your nose.
"Just call me Mrs. Li."
Mrs. Li looked at Xia Xi, shook her hand gently and then took it away.
Xia Xi felt that the way she looked at him was a little strange, so he asked, "Do you know me?"
"Oh, no." Mrs. Li lowered her eyes, sipped her coffee, and said nonchalantly, "I was just too surprised. When I saw the portfolio, I didn't expect the designer to be so young and beautiful."
Xia Xi sat down and smiled politely: "You are too kind."
Mrs. Li looked at her for a while, and instead of talking about the manor, she asked a personal question: "Is Designer Xia married?"
"Ah?" Xia Xi was caught off guard.
Mrs. Li: "Sorry for being so presumptuous, I was just asking casually."
Xia Xi didn't think this question was a big deal, so she answered truthfully, "Not yet."
"Is that so?" Mrs. Li dragged out her words, put the coffee cup on the table, propped up her chin, and casually flipped through several portfolios on the table with her other hand.
Xia Xi couldn't figure out the rich lady's thoughts, so he asked according to his own meaning: "Is your private estate simply for your own residence, or does it have other uses?"
Mrs. Li wasn't very interested and answered slowly, "My husband is an artist. He's made many friends in the same circle both here and abroad, and we have gatherings every now and then. And we need to find a space to exhibit his paintings."
Xia Xi understood that it was a place that combined residence and art exhibition, while also taking into account the standards for entertaining guests.
It’s not just home decoration, it’s a bit complicated.
The phone on the table rang. Xia Xi glanced at it and saw that it was not an important message, so he ignored it for the time being.
Mrs. Li, however, glanced up and caught sight of Xia Xi's lock screen wallpaper, a selfie of her hugging two children. Not feeling it was impolite to look at someone else's phone, she pointed at the screen and asked, "Are these two children your brothers and sisters?"
Xia Xi: “?”
Why do you keep asking questions that have nothing to do with the real business?
The customer is God. Xia Xi repeated this sentence in her mind, then smiled and said, "No, I am a mother of two children."
Mrs. Li raised an eyebrow, her face unable to conceal her surprise. "You're so young, and you have two children this old? I can't tell. Oh, that's not right. Didn't you just say you weren't married?"
Xia Xi was not in a position to explain the reason, so he just smiled faintly.
Mrs. Li also realized that the questions she asked were too personal and might have touched someone's sore spot, so she didn't continue to explore: "Sorry, I asked too many questions. Let's talk about decorating the manor."
Xia Xi breathed a sigh of relief, finally getting to the point.
Mrs. Li's interest was obviously much higher than before, and she stated her requests one by one.
Xia Xi listened and took notes silently.
Mrs. Li pondered and emphasized a point: "I prefer the log style. After all, this is a place where we will live for a long time, and personal preference is very important. But my husband likes marble. He wants marble for everything. I really hate that."
Xia Xi nodded.
Mrs. Li frowned and sighed, "I can't persuade him, and I don't want to compromise. Is there any way to combine the two styles to satisfy my husband and my preferences without looking awkward?"
Xia Xi didn't try to fool her with sweet words and said directly, "You ask me now, but I don't have any good design ideas. I can only promise you that if I finally accept your order, I will do my best to meet your requirements."
Mrs. Li was stunned for a moment, then smiled brightly: "I like honest people like you, Designer Xia. I've made up my mind, I'll hire you."
Xia Xi was a little hesitant at first, fearing that she would not have enough energy to take on another semi-industrial project like this, but seeing that the client trusted her so much, she could not say no.
Mrs. Li kept her word and signed the contract on the spot.
After seeing Mrs. Li off, Tan Zhicheng felt refreshed and gave Xia Xi a thumbs up.
But Xia Xi couldn't laugh. The thought of being even busier gave her a headache.
Although she is not yet thirty years old, she can feel that her energy is not as good as when she was in her early twenties. The most direct experience is that every time she stays up all night and wakes up the next day, she feels like a useless person.

Yu Xiaoxiao sent the printed drawings to Gao Ge's office.
"Anything else?" Gao Ge was finishing up the project he had started, and had some free time these past two days. Seeing his assistant standing there motionless, he raised his eyebrows and asked another question.
Yu Xiaoxiao sighed, a subtle hint of jealousy etched in her voice. "No wonder Xia Xi carries bags worth hundreds of thousands of yuan without blinking an eye. The design fees for Xu's Jingyu Garden project alone were sky-high, making her a household name in the industry. That project hasn't even gotten a third of the way through, and she's already taken on another project: decorating a private estate spanning thousands of square meters. I just heard them discussing it in the tea room."
The more she talked, the more jealous Yu Xiaoxiao couldn't hide her jealousy. She couldn't help but say sarcastically, "The Jingyu Garden project was originally handled by a team, but she ended up taking it all on herself."
Gao Ge shook his head and chuckled. It turned out that the girl was feeling unbalanced.
