Li Shiguang took a step forward, still smiling: "You're not talking. Could it be a thief who broke in? I've never seen such a beautiful thief."
"You're joking." Xia Xi took a step back calmly, putting some distance between them and him. "I'm the designer hired by Mrs. Li. You can call me Engineer Xia."
“Why do I remember the designer was Gao Ge?”
"It was her before, but now I'll be in charge."
"Oh yes, I remember now. That Gao Ge is not very good. He caused my mother-in-law to fall. It's time to replace him." Li Shiguang leaned against the wall, his eyes somewhat naked, moving back and forth between Xia Xi. "I just don't know if Xia Gong is any good. He looks much younger than Gao Ge, like a college student who hasn't graduated yet."
Xia Xi avoided his gaze and walked upstairs. "Mr. Li is such a joke. I'm just a few years younger than Engineer Gao, not that much of a difference. My child will be in first grade in the second half of the year."
"I really can't tell you're married?" Li Shiguang followed her upstairs, his eyes moving downwards to stare at her hands. After carefully examining both of them, he suddenly laughed, "Why don't I see you wearing a wedding ring?"
Xia Xi turned her back to Li Shiguang, not having to worry about him seeing her expression. A hint of disdain appeared on her face as she replied, "The ring my husband bought me is too big. It's inconvenient for me to wear it while working. In our line of work, we don't just sit in an office; we have to be out in the field."
"Miss Xia, be careful with your steps. It's easy to fall here."
When they reached the turning point of the stairs, Li Shiguang took a big step forward, gave a warning, and stretched out his hand to stop Xia Xi, with his palm less than five centimeters away from her.
Xia Xi's brows were cold, and her body pressed against the stair railing, making an evasive motion to prevent him from touching her. She raised her arm to block his extended hand and said lightly, "Thank you, I will pay attention. Mr. Li, I'm working, please don't disturb me."
"That's not interference, I just want to see if there's anything I can do to help." Li Shiguang lowered his hands awkwardly, clenching and unfurling his fingers. "Besides, this is my house, and I have to offer some suggestions. I don't like the exhibition room and studio designed by Gao Ge before. Can you help me change the style?"
