Someone knocked twice on the office door, and before she could say "come in", the door was pushed open. She looked up and saw Lu Mingji had already walked in. He took off his suit and hung it on his arm. He was wearing a blue shirt of fine texture and straight trousers. He had a slender and well-proportioned figure and a gentle temperament.
"Are you free tonight? Let's have dinner together." As if worried that Xia Xi would refuse, Lu Mingji added, "I haven't seen Ziheng and Youyou for a long time. Bring them along."
Xia Xi raised her wrist to look at her watch. The two children should have been taken home by Su Jinru by now.
She didn't refuse or agree, but just said, "The two kids said they wanted to eat pizza yesterday, so I'm going to take them there tonight."

Xia Xi, slipping on her slippers, looked in the direction she pointed, her eyes widening in shock. "Zhou Du?! Why are you here? You didn't even tell me."
Zhou Du stood up from the sofa, opened his arms, and smiled at her with raised eyebrows: "Surprise! Of course I can't tell you in advance."
