Xia Xi pressed the doorbell and it was Xia Yue who answered the door.
Before she even entered the room, Xia Xi asked her about Xia Xuan's condition: "How is she?"
Xia Yue shook her head, looking worried: "You haven't said much all day."
Xia Xi put on slippers and walked in: "Have you eaten?"
"I ate a little." Xia Yue closed the door and followed her.
Xia Xi didn't see anyone in the living room, so Xia Yue pointed to the room and she turned and went to the room.
Xia Xuan lay on her side in bed, her face resting on her arm, leaving only her back. The curtains were drawn, and the room was dim and lifeless.
Xia Xi walked straight to the window and opened all the curtains. The light from outside rushed in. Xia Xuan felt uncomfortable and her eyes were swollen and painful. She squinted her eyes. In her blurred vision, she saw a figure approaching and sitting down beside the bed.
"Xuanxuan." Xia Xi patted her.
Xia Xuan opened her eyes wide, took in the person's face, opened her mouth, and said in a hoarse voice: "...Sister."
Although Xia Xi doted on her younger sister, she was very tough in some aspects. For example, at this moment, she grabbed Xia Xuan's wrist and pulled her up, and with her other hand she picked up a pillow and placed it under the head of the bed so that she could lean on it.
"Tell me, what happened between you and Chen Songbai?" Xia Xi looked at her, her eyes fixed on her, not allowing her to evade. "Is it related to his cousin?"
The word "cousin" struck a nerve in Xia Xuan. Her eyes flickered, and a familiar, intense feeling of nausea rose from her stomach to her throat. She lurched forward, slumped over the bed, and retched. Since she hadn't eaten much, she couldn't vomit anything. To avoid worrying her family, she had tried hard to control her emotions and wanted to eat more, but she simply couldn't.
Xia Xi was frightened by her, stroking her back with his hand and asking Xia Yue to pour her a cup of hot water.
Xia Yue quickly brought a cup of slightly hot water. Xia Xi took it, supported Xia Xuan with one hand, and pointed the edge of the cup at her mouth: "Take a few sips."
Xia Yue asked nervously, "Did he vomit? Is his stomach upset because he's so hungry? He only ate three or four mouthfuls of food at noon."
Xia Xuan's face turned pale as she sipped the hot water, a layer of sweat forming on her forehead. After a few sips, she turned her head away, not wanting to drink any more.
Xia Yue took the cup of water from Xia Xi and held it in her hand.
Xia Xuan leaned her head against Xia Xi's chest, thinking for a long time before finally saying to her what she had been unable to say: "Chen Songbai got drunk and had sex with Miao Yijia."
Xia Xuan had great difficulty speaking this short sentence of just a dozen words.
Xia Yue was so frightened that she lost her grip on the glass and dropped it to the ground. The glass broke immediately and hot water splashed out. Some of it fell on the back of her feet, but she seemed not to feel it.
Xia Xi was also shocked. He tightened his arms around Xia Xuan and looked down at her. Her eyes were dull, empty, and extremely dim.
After a while, Xia Xi finally spoke: "Isn't Miao Yijiajia Chen Songbai's cousin?"
"We've all been deceived." Xia Xuan smiled sadly, feeling as if a huge rock was pressing down on her chest, making her feel uncomfortable. "Miao Yijia was adopted by her mother and has no blood relationship with Chen Songbai."
Xia Xi was stunned, and suddenly remembered the dinner in the restaurant that night. After the meal, Xu Yanfeng asked casually: Is your brother-in-law's cousin your real cousin?
I didn't expect that they were not kissing.
Xia Yue was so angry that her hands were shaking: "This Chen Songbai is too disgusting!"
She was so excited and loud that she startled Su Jinru in the living room. She came to the door and asked, "What's wrong?" Then, noticing the debris on the floor, she asked, "Why is the cup broken? Don't move around."
Without caring about asking other questions, Su Jinru came over with cleaning tools. Seeing the three sisters' serious expressions, she panicked: "What happened?"
Xia Xi didn't hide it from her: "Chen Songbai cheated on her, and with his cousin."
Su Jinru didn't come back to her senses for a long time, her mouth trembling: "Cousin?!"
Xia Xi: "I heard he was adopted."
Xia Yue explained: "Xuanxuan said he was drunk."
Xia Xi twitched the corner of his mouth and snorted coldly: "If he was really drunk and unconscious, how could he do such a thing. If he really did it, then he was not drunk."
Xia Yue was confused by her. After calming down and thinking about it carefully, she seemed to understand what she said.
Xia Xi tilted her head and said, "Sister, come over here and help Xuanxuan."
Xia Yue took her place, sitting beside the bed and hugging her younger sister.
Xia Xi wanted to find her cell phone in her bag, but suddenly realized that she had left her bag in the car and forgot to take it. She touched the pocket of her suit and fortunately her cell phone was inside.
She took out her cell phone and paused before calling Chen Songbai, asking Xia Xuan what she meant: "What do you want to do?"
Xia Xuan had been completely lost in thought since the incident. Hearing her question, she lowered her eyes and forced herself to make a decision, but it was so difficult. She shook her head again and again.
She didn't know what to do either.
Xia Xi didn't force her. She dialed Chen Songbai's number and ordered him calmly, "Come over now. I have something to tell you."

In the underground parking lot, Xu Yanfeng was bored and checking emails on his mobile phone. He looked up inadvertently and saw a car parked next to him. Chen Songbai got out of the car. The man's suit was wrinkled, his head was lowered, and he looked listless.
I forgot to lock the car. After walking a few steps, I seemed to remember it, turned my head, raised my arm, and pressed the car key to lock the car.
Xu Yanfeng thought for a moment, got out of the car and followed the person in front.
The two met in the elevator. When Chen Songbai saw him, he pursed his dry lips and said in a hoarse voice, "Mr. Xu."
Xu Yanfeng nodded.
Chen Songbai entered the house and met Su Jinru first. He nodded and greeted her: "Mom."
