"Me?" Xia Xi shook her head. "You men get together to drink and chat, why should I go? I'll stay home with Ziheng."
"Take Ziheng with you, we'll be a family of three together."
Xia Xi smiled: "Please, this is not a parent-child gathering."
The company was just around the corner, and the conversation ended there. Xia Xi got out of the car and pulled out two bulging canvas bags from the back seat. Inside were the wedding candies she and Xia Xuan had bought while shopping a few days ago. She bent down slightly and waved to the people in the car: "Bye, husband."
Xu Yanfeng tilted his head, with an obvious smile on his face that lingered for a long time. He really wanted to catch her back.
The car stopped in front of the office building for a long time before Xu Yanfeng drove out again.

After taking the elevator to the company, most of the colleagues who had gone out for dinner had returned. Xia Xi first delivered wedding candy to the front desk.
"Mr. Xia, this is..." The receptionist was looking at the computer when suddenly an exquisite red box was handed to him. One side was transparent, just enough to see different kinds of candies inside.
Xia Xi smiled slightly: "Wedding candy, please eat it."
The receptionist covered her mouth and said in surprise: "Congratulations!"
Xia Xi thanked him and walked into the hall, where she ran into Huang Shiyu. She asked her to help distribute the remaining items, and was met with a chorus of "congratulations." Xia Xi personally delivered Lu Mingji's copy.
Lu Mingji peeled a candy and popped it into his mouth. One cheek puffed up slightly as the sweetness spread throughout his mouth. Like everyone else, he smiled and said to Xia Xi, "Congratulations."
Xia Xi returned to her office and began working until around five in the afternoon. Xu Yanfeng sent her a message asking when she would finish. She twisted her slightly stiff neck and replied, "Are you already here?"
Xu Yanfeng: "Don't worry, take your time."
What this meant was that he had indeed arrived downstairs of her company.
Xia Xi didn't reply. She clicked on Xu Yanfeng's profile picture and changed a note for him. Then she packed her things into her bag, took the elevator down, got in the car, put her bag on her lap, and fanned her face with her hand.
Seeing a little sweat on her neck, Xu Yanfeng leaned over to fasten her seat belt and took out a tissue to wipe her neck: "I told you to take your time."
Xia Xi thought of the call from Tang Yizhou at noon: "Why did you come to pick me up? You don't have to go to the party? Tang Yizhou said that your childhood friends are waiting for you."
Xu Yanfeng said as a matter of course: "Didn't you drive this morning? If I don't pick you up, will you take a taxi back by yourself?"
"It's okay for me to take a taxi back." Xia Xi gathered her hair into a low ponytail, and her neck instantly felt much fresher.
"No." Xu Yanfeng raised his chin slightly, "How can I let my wife take a taxi home?"
Xia Xi: “…”
