The orchestra played a romantic piece of music, and petals fell from the sky, a few of which landed on Xia Xi's head. Xu Yanfeng smiled, picked up the petals with his fingers, and gently touched her nose. Xia Xi smelled the rich fragrance, and her nose itched. She tilted her head to avoid it.
She threw the bouquet in her hand, and someone grabbed it, and cheers were heard everywhere.
Everyone was laughing and making noises, even knocking over champagne glasses, but no one panicked and continued laughing amid the aroma of the wine.
Xia Xi had thought the wedding would be somewhat solemn, after all, with so many business people in attendance, people she had only seen in newspapers and on the news, now sitting here. But in reality, the scene was nothing short of chaotic.
Even Xu Yanfeng expressed disgust. He put his arm around Xia Xi's waist and whispered in her ear, "What the hell is going on?"
Xia Xi was feeling a little tired from walking in high heels, so she leaned against him and whispered in his ear, "It seems like it started because of a fight over the bouquet. One boy got it, and the other boy wasn't satisfied and wanted it back. More and more people joined in the fight, and then... it turned out like this."
Turning the bouquet grabbing game into a chasing game.
Xu Yanfeng frowned slightly: "I don't know what the fuss is about. Let's find a girlfriend first!"
Xia Xi patted him: "It's great that you have a wife."
Why are you still dragging others down? How childish.
Xu Yanfeng nodded and said seriously, "It's really remarkable." After a pause, he slowly added, "Not only does he have a beautiful wife, but he also has a son who can help out."
Seeing that the corners of his mouth were curled up, Xia Xi pretended to advise him: "Keep a low profile, keep a low profile."
"Sorry, I really can't keep a low profile today." Xu Yanfeng raised his eyelids, with a defiant look in his eyes. He didn't look like a thirty-year-old man at all. He must be eighteen years old.
How can he keep a low profile? He wants to tell the whole world.
The following speech session was given by the elders, Su Jinru and Zhong Yinghong. Both elders were gentle people, and their eyes were red after just a few words. They were not sad, but relieved and moved.
The two elders stepped down from the stage and took their respective seats.
Just as Zhong Yinghong was about to reach for a tissue, a hand reached out and touched her elbow with a tissue. She caught a glimpse of a familiar face from the corner of her eye and glanced over. It was Xu Guanshan, who had arrived late.
It was she who decided to send Xu Guanshan's wedding invitation. No matter how strained the relationship between them was now, Xu Guanshan was still Xu Yanfeng's father, and the blood relationship could not be severed.
Xu Junmo is a non-marriageist, so Xu Yanfeng's wedding is the only wedding of his son that he can attend.
Whether he comes or not is entirely up to him.
Zhong Yinghong's eyes were still a little moist. She paused for two seconds, and without rejecting Xu Guanshan's kindness, she took the tissue, gently pressed her eyelids, and looked at the stage. Xu Yanfeng was hugging Xia Xi, talking in her ear with his face tilted to the side. He had been smiling all day.
"Have you ever seen your son so happy?" Zhong Yinghong asked.
Xu Guanshan paused and followed her gaze.
He had indeed never seen Xu Yanfeng like this. In the past, whenever this son faced him, he always had a cold face and dark eyes, like a piece of ice that had not melted for thousands of years.
It was hard to even see him soften his attitude, let alone smile.
At this moment, he laughed so wantonly, without any pressure from a superior, as innocent as a child, and stroked the veil of his wife's ear with his fingers.
In a trance, Xu Guanshan seemed to have lost something, or something in his heart collapsed.

The banquet began, and Xu Yanfeng took Xia Xi's arm to change clothes.
The guests were eating, drinking, chatting and laughing in a cheerful atmosphere, but the corridor was very quiet.
Without caring about other people's opinions, Xia Xi immediately gave all her weight to Xu Yanfeng like a boneless person: "Do you know how many centimeters the high heels on my feet are?" She asked herself and answered, "12 centimeters!"
As soon as he finished speaking, Xu Yanfeng bent down and picked her up. Her long skirt dragged on the ground. He took a step and almost tripped. Fortunately, his chassis was stable enough and he stabilized himself after just a stumble.
Xia Xi hugged his neck, still in shock, but also a little bit wanting to laugh, her eyes sparkling.
Xu Yanfeng looked at her: "Still laughing, aren't you afraid of getting thrown?"
Xia Xi: "Will you let me fall?"
Xu Yanfeng didn't even think about it, and answered almost the moment she asked the question: "No."
Two decisive words.
Xia Xi smiled, lowered her head, and leaned on his shoulder: "That's it."
When they arrived at the suite that was temporarily serving as a lounge, Xu Yanfeng put Xia Xi down, took out the room card, and swiped the door open.
The dress was hung in the bedroom inside, and a few extra ones were prepared in case of any emergency.
Xia Xi had taken off her high heels as soon as she entered the room. She stepped barefoot on the floor and stood in front of the clothes rack. She was having trouble making a choice. She turned her head to look at the man behind her and hooked her finger: "Come here, help me choose one."
Xu Yanfeng brought a pair of slippers over, nodded his chin, and motioned for her to put them on. Then he raised his eyes and scanned the dresses in front of her, and immediately gave his opinion: "The red one."
Xia Xi crossed her arms, a faint smile on her lips: "You really like this one the most."
The last time Xu Yanfeng took the brochure to choose a dress, he particularly liked this one and said that he could buy any other one but this one.
There was no one else here to help, so Xu Yanfeng could only act as her assistant, helping her take off the gorgeous wedding dress and put on a formal dress. However, in the process, she was inevitably taken advantage of by some "assistant".
Changing clothes made my blood boil and my breathing quicken, as if I had just finished a 100-meter sprint.
