Xia Xi went to the locker room and changed into the uniform provided by the golf course, a white and orange sportswear, a white sun hat with a wide brim, and sat in the golf cart. The male staff member drove her to the golf course.
On the way, the male staff member took the time to give her extra lessons, telling her to remember the information about the course so that she could help the golfers complete their shots more effectively.
The information included the course's layout, location, composition, distance, and more, and the staff spoke quickly, fearing they wouldn't be able to finish. He also explained that caddies who apply for the position typically receive training for ten days to half a month before playing, and there was nothing they could do about it right now.
"You see, there's a maple forest surrounding the course, and sometimes balls get lost. You're new here and unfamiliar with the environment, so ask another caddie for help. Young Master Xu has a male caddie over there, and they asked you to come over because there are a few female golfers with them. Just be responsible for serving them. Be attentive and smart, and hand them clubs or pocket them in time. Other problems won't be a big deal."
Xia Xi wrote them down one by one.
"Any other questions?" asked the male staff member.
Xia Xi leaned forward slightly and asked the question that concerned him most: "The Xu Shao you are talking about, is it Xu Yanfeng?"
Hearing this, the male staff member suddenly became alert and turned to stare at Xia Xi. Could she have other motives? Last time, a female caddy took advantage of her position to approach a distinguished male guest and was complained about and fired. This had a very negative impact on their golf course.
"Why do you ask that?"
"Don't look at me, look at the road." Xia Xi poked his shoulder and reminded him.
The male staff member turned his head back, and the cart moved steadily forward on the lawn. He did not broach the subject, and remained highly alert: "You haven't answered me yet."
Xia Xi touched his nose and averted his gaze guiltily, looking at the nearby lake and the maple forest in the distance. He said with a mixture of truth and falsehood, "I have a classmate named Xu, who is also a young master. So I'm curious if the Xu Shao you are talking about is him."
The confusion on the male staff member's face turned into surprise: "Do you know Xu Yanfeng?"
Xia Xi tricked the person into telling the truth. It turned out that the "Mr. Xu" this person was talking about was Xu Yanfeng. Isn't that a coincidence?
God really favors her.
"Didn't I tell you?" Xia Xi was clearly so excited that she wanted to jump up, but she pretended to be calm. "Xu Yanfeng is my classmate."
The male staff member was delighted: "Since you are classmates, there will be no problem at all! I was worried that you wouldn't do well and that if you made any mistakes, I would be criticized. Now I don't have to worry about that."
Xia Xi didn't have the confidence to respond.
Her relationship with Xu Yanfeng was not good. If she made a mistake, would Xu Yanfeng protect her? Not necessarily.
Arriving at the golf course, Xia Xi saw from afar several young men and women gathered together, wearing colorful jerseys, taking turns swinging their clubs. They all had the same aura, a nobility cultivated from another circle.
She always spotted Xu Yanfeng in the crowd. He was slender in his black jersey, his left hand clad in a white glove, gripping the golf club with both hands, poised for a shot. He raised his hand and leaned sideways, his muscular figure bulging beneath his clothes, revealing a broad back and a lean waist. His posture wasn't textbook, but rather relaxed and effortless.
Xu Yanfeng is much more beautiful than the natural scenery of the stadium.
Xia Xi smiled, jumped out of the car and walked forward with the golf bag.
Xu Yanfeng subconsciously glanced at the figure running towards him. It didn't matter that he just paused for a moment, which affected his hand movements, and the ball he hit lost its accuracy.
"Tsk tsk tsk tsk, Xu Er, that shot of yours was quite a stinker." Tang Yizhou put his hands on his hips and shook his head, "What are you thinking about?"
For a split second, Xu Yanfeng suspected he was hallucinating. He'd mistaken a caddy for Xia Xi—it was outrageous. It wasn't until the face gradually grew larger and clearer before him that he finally realized it wasn't his fault.
That's Xia Xi.
What can this person say...
"I want to see what you're looking at."
Tang Yizhou saw Xu Yanfeng staring intently in a certain direction. Curious, he turned his head and saw a fair-skinned, beautiful girl trotting towards him. Her striking appearance, paired with a bright smile, was a striking sight. Her uniform, like the other caddies', looked tailor-made for her, accentuating her slender waist and long legs, her figure perfectly proportioned.
Tang Yizhou believed that he had seen countless people, but few of them impressed him. But now he was stunned.
It’s no wonder that Xu Yanfeng, who has always been pure and simple, lost his mind. This little caddy really has the capital.
However, I feel like I have seen this face somewhere before.
Tang Yizhou frowned and thought, and soon he remembered. His brows relaxed and he pointed at Xia Xi who was approaching with a surprised expression: "Hey, hey, hey, you are not that...that Xia..." He got stuck at the critical moment. The name was on the tip of his tongue, but he had forgotten it.
Fu Li said: "Xia Xi."
"Yes, it's Xia Xi! The one chasing Xu Er!" Tang Yizhou thanked him for the reminder, otherwise he would have suffocated himself to death. "Why are you here? Are you following our Xu Er?"
Xu Er?
Xia Xi put her hands behind her back, stood on tiptoe, and looked up at Xu Yanfeng: "You are the second child in the family? So am I. So, we are actually quite a match."
Everyone: “…”
This group of young masters and young ladies who had seen everything in the world were so shocked by Xia Xi's words that their jaws dropped to the ground.
Only Xu Yanfeng looked calm. He was used to Xia Xi's shocking words.
