Chapter 284 Our Agreement is Void

Ziheng and Youyou came out of the room, carrying their respective small schoolbags, put them on the sofa, and then went to the restaurant for breakfast.

Su Jinru also got up and muttered as she walked: "I was watching a drama last night and almost overslept."

Just as she finished speaking, the doorbell rang. Su Jinru paused as she walked towards the restaurant: "Who would come so early?"

Xia Xi knew who it was, so she picked up a steamed dumpling with her chopsticks and stopped Su Jinru before she opened the door: "Don't worry, it's the courier. He got the wrong address and insisted on arguing with me."

"Really?" Su Jinru was skeptical.

Xia Xi scooped a spoonful of porridge and hummed.

After a while, the doorbell rang again. Su Jinru muttered to herself, "Knocking on the door all the time is not a good idea. I'd better go out and explain it to them."

She put down her chopsticks and went to open the door. Xia Xi's forehead twitched: "You really don't have to go."

Xia Yue noticed something was wrong, stood up, and said to Su Jinru, "Mom, please sit down. I'll go take a look."

Xia Xi looked up: "Hey, sister..."

There was no time to stop him. Xia Yue had already walked to the entrance. Before opening the door, she looked out through the peephole. It was a familiar face, not a courier at all.

Xia Yue opened the door.

When Xu Yanfeng saw that the person coming was Xia Xi's sister, he nodded politely and greeted her.

Xia Yue asked politely, "Have you had breakfast?"

Xu Yanfeng peeked in and knew Xia Xi was still angry and didn't want to see him, but he couldn't communicate with her without seeing her. The messages he sent last night seemed to have fallen on deaf ears; she hadn't replied to any of them.

"Not yet." Xu Yanfeng said.

Xia Yue took a half step back and said with a smile: "If you don't mind, let's eat together. There's extra."

"Thank you." Xu Yanfeng pulled the corner of his lips modestly and walked into the house.

Xia Yue got him a pair of slippers and took him to the restaurant.

When Xia Xi saw him, she was surprised. She actually let him in. It seemed that Xia Yue was easy to talk to.

Su Jinru was stunned for two seconds and stood up: "It turns out to be Xiao Xu." While speaking, she glanced at Xia Xi, a little confused. Did Xia Xi know that the person outside was Xu Yanfeng and deliberately said it was a courier?

What are these two kids doing?

Xu Yanfeng nodded politely: "Hello, Auntie. Sorry to bother you without permission. Please sit down."

Youyou waved her little hand: "Uncle, why are you here?"

Xu Yanfeng glanced at Xia Xi first, then looked at the little girl with a warm smile: "Come and take you and Ziheng to school."

Xia Yue went to the kitchen and brought over a set of bowls and chopsticks. She poured a bowl of porridge for Xu Yanfeng and placed it in front of him: "I don't know if you can get used to it."

Xu Yanfeng: "I can do anything."

"I'm full." Xia Xi put down her chopsticks, stood up, went back to her room to pack her things, and came out with her bag. "Ziheng Youyou, are you done eating? We should leave."

Hearing this, Xu Yanfeng hurriedly ate a few bites, said goodbye to Xia Yue and Su Jinru, and caught up with Xia Xi.

Inside the room, Su Jinru asked Xia Yue with a worried look in her eyes, "What's going on between them?"

Xia Yue didn't worry about it and ate her porridge slowly: "I don't know, let them do it."

*

In the elevator, Xu Yanfeng tried to pull Xia Xi's sleeve. Due to the presence of two children, he did not make too much noise. His voice was so low that it was almost like a dream mumbling: "What should I do to stop being angry with me?"

Xia Xi gave him an extremely dull look and pulled out his sleeves.

Xu Yanfeng leaned forward, his tone hinting at pleading for mercy: "I haven't slept all night."

Xia Xi didn't say anything.

Judging from the time he sent the messages, he indeed did not sleep all night, because the time span between the first message and the last message was as long as six hours.

The elevator reached the first floor. Xia Xi and the two children went out. Xu Yanfeng said from behind, "Didn't you bring your car back last night? Take my car. It's inconvenient to take a taxi."

Speaking of this, Xia Xi recalled the phone call she received yesterday at Jingyu Garden. She was so frightened that her hands and feet went limp and she couldn't even drive, so she had to take a taxi to the hospital. She rolled her eyes at Xu Yanfeng.

Xu Yanfeng seemed not to see her gaze, picked up Youyou and stuffed her into the car parked in front.

long:"……"

Ziheng didn't know that the adults were arguing, so he climbed into the car without Xu Yanfeng holding him, sat down, and fastened his seat belt.

Xia Xi had no choice but to get in the car.

Xu Yanfeng breathed a sigh of relief, fearing that she would leave.

There was no driver today, so Xu Yanfeng drove to the kindergarten himself.

The two children went to school, leaving only Xu Yanfeng and Xia Xi in the car. The atmosphere was much more tense than before. Xu Yanfeng turned the steering wheel and, as usual, took Xia Xi to the company first.

Xu Yanfeng cleared his throat, glanced at the person behind him in the rearview mirror, and repeated his apology over and over again: "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have tested your heart in that way." His voice was low, sounding a little humble. "Can you make a request? Tell me what it takes to forgive me, and I'll do it."

Xia Xi reacted a little: "You said that?"

Seeing that she was finally willing to pay attention to him, Xu Yanfeng's lacquer-like eyes flashed with light, that was the dawn of hope. He affirmed without hesitation: "I said it."

"Okay then." Xia Xi nodded, thought for a moment, and stated her request, "Our 100-day agreement is void, and the child and I will move back home."

Xu Yanfeng: “…”

He never thought that this would be her request.

Xia Xi tilted her head, trying to see his expression. The limited angle meant she couldn't see it completely, but she could tell he was stunned, as if he was caught off guard. Her gloomy mood lightened considerably, and she raised her brow slightly. "Didn't you say I could make a request? I did, and you didn't agree."
