In the silent night, the slightest movement is amplified several times, making people's ears hot and their hearts pounding.
Xia Xi leaned against the edge of the table, her waist constantly bent backwards, feeling a little uncomfortable. She twisted her body and was immediately noticed by Xu Yanfeng. He picked her up and put her on the table. His hand touched something on the table, and he swept it to the ground without caring what it was.

Xia Xi kept her eyelids closed. Her dry lips automatically swallowed deeply upon contact with the water, finally relieving her throat, which had been so dry it was smoking. She choked, and Xu Yanfeng promptly removed the cup, giving her time to cough and breathe. Once she had calmed down a bit, he brought the cup to her lips.
"Still drinking?"
In a half-asleep state, Xia Xi heard someone ask in her ear.
She nodded, shook her head, and was laid flat.
Xu Yanfeng finished the rest of the water and put the cup down. In such a short time, Xia Xi had fallen into a deep sleep, because he could hear the sound of even breathing. He chuckled softly, and his lips moved, not knowing who he was talking to.
"Although the tricks I learned from the book are indeed outrageous, they are... somewhat useful."
If Xia Xi was awake at this moment and heard this, he would be speechless.
