Chapter 13 I'll Give You a New Boss

Chapter 13 I'll Give You a New Boss

In Chi Cheng's huge living room, only a dim floor lamp was on.

He sat cross-legged directly on the marble coffee table, with a transparent plastic box containing small vinegar bags in front of him.

A little further away, in a glass box that occupies most of the corner, a yellow dragon is perched on a landscape tree, its vertical pupils looming in the shadows, and it occasionally spits out its tongue, bringing a silent sense of oppression.

Chi Cheng held a piece of thawed mouse meat between a pair of thin tweezers and patiently waved it in front of the little vinegar bun.

The little guy stuck out his tongue and slowly poked his head out, looking lazy.

That kid...

Chi Cheng's attention was obviously not on feeding the snake. The tip of the tweezers unconsciously tapped the edge of the plastic box, making a slight clicking sound.

The touch of the hood seemed to be still imprinted in his palm, and even clearer was the body he was pressing under him.

Wu Suowei, that kid, looked thin but had a well-proportioned frame, and he was quite strong when he struggled.

Especially those eyes, although she was obviously scared to death, she was still forcing herself to stare at him, and they were surprisingly bright.

And... when I grabbed his chin and kissed him, there was that momentary stiffness and the subsequent struggle filled with youthful anger. His lips were unexpectedly soft and warm, with a clean scent of soap, and a little... sweet?

"Tsk." Chi Cheng's Adam's apple rolled, and the force of the clamp unconsciously increased, startling the little jealous boy so much that he suddenly retracted his head.

He looked at the little vinegar-bag's alert expression, a playful smile appeared on the corner of his mouth, and his low voice rang out in the quiet living room: "Little vinegar-bag, little vinegar-bag, can I find you a companion tomorrow?"

Find a companion... Find a companion like Wu Suowei, who is wild, timid, and interesting.

"Knock knock." There was a knock on the door.

"Come in." Chi Cheng didn't even raise his head and continued to watch the little vinegar bun eat.

Li Gang pushed the door open and saw his boss sitting in a royal etiquette-filled posture, and his eyes twitched.

"We've got some clues about that batch of snakes. Our informant said they saw a suspected target enter the old warehouse area in the south of the city, but they're not sure which warehouse it is. The chairman's people are keeping a close eye on it, so our people can't get close enough for a detailed investigation for now."

Chi Cheng didn't even raise his eyelids, and said in a flat tone: "Oh."

Li Gang: “……?”

Just...oh?

Such a large batch of valuable "goods" was lost. After finally finding their whereabouts, they were detained by the old man's people. Is this the boss's reaction?

He couldn't help but ask tentatively: "Then... what should we do next?"

"Just keep an eye on it." Chi Cheng stood up and walked to the huge glass box of the yellow dragon. He picked up the spray bottle next to it and casually sprayed some water mist into it. The mist filled the air and the huge body of the yellow dragon moved slowly in the haze.

"The old man's men are watching over it, so the things can't be lost. Let's wait until the storm is over." He seemed to be indifferent to the batch of priceless snakes.

"Okay... okay." Li Gang suppressed his doubts and thought of another thing. "Oh, by the way, Brother Nian gave me a message saying that the short play has been confirmed. Tomorrow morning at ten o'clock, I can just bring people to their studio for an audition. The role is the second male lead mentioned earlier, and he has a lot of scenes."

"Okay, got it." Chi Cheng put down the tongs. The little vinegar bun in the plastic box had already swallowed the food and curled up in satisfaction.

Li Gang couldn't help but be curious. "But... why did you suddenly want to invest in a film and television company and even go to the audition in person? Don't we have a lot of projects on hand?"

Entering the entertainment industry?

This style of painting is seriously inconsistent with the image of the boss who plays with snakes, races cars and fights!

Chi Cheng stood up slowly, picked up the plastic box containing the vinegar packets, and the smile on his lips deepened, with a hint of meaning that Li Gang couldn't understand: "I'll find you a new boss."

Li Gang: “Ah???”

He was completely confused.

Changing bosses? What does that mean?

Cheng Ge wants to give him to someone else? To whom?

Chi Cheng was too lazy to explain and waved his hand: "Alright, alright, it's fine as long as the work is done. It's time to rest. You should go back early too."

He carried the little vinegar bag and walked towards the bedroom.

Li Gang looked at his boss's back and scratched his head: "Oh... okay."

I always feel that the boss has been acting weird lately, especially after he mentioned that guy named Wu Suowei.

Close the bedroom door and isolate yourself from everything outside.

Chi Cheng's bedroom is very large and the colors are cold and hard.

He placed the box of vinegar bags on the bedside table and leaned against the headboard.

There was only a wall lamp on in the room, and the light was dim.

"Five hundred a day, meals included, profits..."

Chi Cheng's mind flashed with the pair of eyes that instantly lit up when Wu Suowei heard this condition, as well as the flattering and loud "Okay, boss! Thank you, boss!"

Little money-grubber...

Chi Cheng tapped the bed sheet with his fingertips, and the corners of his mouth raised up a faint arc uncontrollably.

In the clinic... the way he cried...

Chi Cheng's eyes darkened, and the burning sensation of the tear hitting the back of his hand seemed to still be there.

Feeling wronged? Afraid of me? Or...

He remembered when Wu Suowei questioned him, "Don't you already have a girlfriend? Why did you hire me?", and in that tearful voice, there seemed to be... a hint of sourness hidden in it that he himself didn't even notice?

This realization stirred up huge ripples of ecstasy in Chi Cheng's heart.

Interesting...very interesting.

He closed his eyes and let himself sink into clearer memories.

Wu Suowei was so limp from his kiss that he leaned against his chest, panting. His lips were red and swollen, his eyes were hazy, and there were traces of tears in the corners of his eyes. He looked completely conquered and powerless to resist...

Chi Cheng's breathing unconsciously became heavier.

He could still feel Wu Suowei's warm body trembling in his arms, smell his clean scent mixed with cheap soap, and recall the firm touch of his waist...

I want to crush him into pieces and embed him into my bones...

A feeling of heat suddenly rose up and quickly spread to every part of my body.

This little thing is really... so damn attractive.

The body reacted before the brain. Chi Cheng reached for the cell phone on the bedside table, skillfully took out the newly saved number, and dialed it.

Just as I was finally feeling a little sleepy, the phone rang like a death warrant.

Wu Suowei frowned, fumbled for his phone with his eyes closed, and answered without even glancing at it. His voice was filled with sleepiness and annoyance at being interrupted: "Hello? Who is this? In the middle of the night..."

There was no immediate response from the other end of the line, only a slightly heavy breathing sound could be clearly heard through the receiver.

"Hello? Say something! It's the middle of the night..." Wu Suowei muttered impatiently, feeling very sleepy.

Chi Cheng's voice was low and hoarse, with a kind of magnetism that made people's scalps tingle, and it penetrated into Wu Suowei's ears through the mobile phone.

"...Wu Suowei..." Chi Cheng's voice sounded, mixed with a vague groan from the depths of his throat, "...Um..."

Wu Suowei shuddered, and most of his sleepiness was instantly scared away.

He suddenly opened his eyes and almost jumped out of the bed, his heart pounding wildly.

"Chi Cheng?!"

Why is this lunatic calling in the middle of the night?!
