Chapter 18 I think you are dirty

Chapter 18 I think you are dirty

He slowly turned his head, and pressed the tip of his tongue against the numb area on the inner wall of his mouth. He looked at Wu Suowei with a serious look. There was no anger in his eyes, but instead an emotion that Wu Suowei could not understand at all.

There seemed to be a flash of water in his deep eyes, and his voice was very hoarse and had a sense of brokenness, completely out of the script.

"I was wrong...Xiaoyu..." He took a step forward and, regardless of anything and very naturally, held Wu Suowei's hand, which had just slapped him and was still trembling slightly.

"Give me another chance... just once..." His voice was low and desperate, and every word seemed to carry a heavy weight, hitting Xiaoyu's heart, "I really can't live without you..."

Wu Suowei: ???

Wait! The script... has this line?!

His mind went blank, and he was terrified by Chi Cheng's sudden action and completely unscripted lines.

The hand that Chi Cheng held tightly felt like it was burned by a branding iron. He wanted to pull it back, but it was held even tighter.

Chi Cheng's eyes were too deep, too real. The pain and pleading surging in them made him unable to tell whether this was a play or... something else.

Chi Cheng...will you choose me...

A faint voice filled with great desire sounded in his heart.

The rehearsal room was completely silent. Brother Nian opened his mouth wide and forgot to call out "cut".

Everyone was stunned by Chi Cheng's impromptu and impactful performance.

Wu Suowei forced himself to calm down.

No! This is an audition! We have to stick to the script!

He suddenly pulled his hand back and took a step back. The coldness and despair after being deceived re-condensed in his eyes. A mocking arc appeared at the corner of his mouth, but his voice trembled slightly: "Heh... Are you still going to continue lying to me..."

Chi Cheng's hand was still frozen in mid-air, maintaining the grip.

He looked at the cold alienation and mockery in Wu Suowei's eyes, and his heart seemed to be tightly grasped by an invisible hand, the pain was so severe that he could hardly breathe.

Chi Cheng... I don't want to look so ugly anymore...

The deep, almost overflowing sadness in Wu Suowei's eyes was like a blunt knife, slicing Chi Cheng's heart.

"No... I won't..." Chi Cheng blurted out, and stepped forward again, desperately grabbing Wu Suowei's arm again with astonishing strength, his eyes locked on him, "I won't lie to you... Never again..."

fraud……

Wu Suowei felt a chill in his heart.

He looked at Chi Cheng, and the fiery "performance" in his eyes, and felt it was extremely ironic.

He exerted force suddenly, trying to shake off Chi Cheng's hand. His voice suddenly rose, filled with desperate determination and sharp pain: "Okay! Then throw that thing away!"

Throw away Huang Long! Throw away the most important thing in your heart! Prove it to me!

When these words came out of his mouth, Wu Suowei was surprised himself.

This wasn't even a line from a script! This was his deepest questioning and longing, suppressed for two lifetimes.

His voice was trembling, but his eyes were fixed on Chi Cheng with a desperate madness.

Chi Cheng was nailed to the spot by the intense, almost desperate questioning in his eyes.

He held Wu Suowei's wrist, and subconsciously loosened it as if it was burned.

He looked at Wu Suowei, his eyes fluctuating violently, his lips moved, but only a dry syllable came out: "I..."

Oh……

Wu Suowei's heart sank completely, sinking to the cold bottom of the valley.

Look... Wu Suowei... you're being stupid again... how could he...

The momentary hesitation of Chi Cheng in his previous life and the same struggle and silence in Chi Cheng's eyes at this moment overlapped perfectly.

The immense disappointment and self-mockery overwhelmed him like a cold tide.

All the grievances, anger, unwillingness, and expectations that had been crushed repeatedly burst out at this moment.

He suddenly pulled back his hand and pushed Chi Cheng hard with all his strength!

"Oh... go away!" Wu Suowei's voice was filled with tears, "Go away!"

He pointed in the direction of the door, his eyes red, tears swirling wildly in his eyes, but he stubbornly refused to fall, "I really think you're dirty!"

The last three words, filled with deep hatred and determination, struck the air of the studio like a sledgehammer.

Wu Suowei's chest heaved violently, his eyes were red, but his face was cold and numb.

Chi Cheng staggered a step after being pushed by him, and the clear slap mark on his face was glaring red.

He stood there, as if nailed to the spot by Wu Suowei's last words, looking at Wu Suowei with empty eyes, in which surged a kind of almost destructive pain and confusion.

Time seemed to stand still.

A few seconds later, Brother Nian finally woke up from his dream. He was so excited that he almost jumped up from his chair, his voice splitting: "Cut! Cut! Absolutely amazing! Absolutely amazing! Oh my God! Such explosive power! Such emotion! So touching! Xiao Wu! Young Master Chi! The two of you..."

He was so excited that he was incoherent and rushed over to express his endless praise.

However, he hadn't finished speaking yet.

Wu Suowei turned around abruptly, no longer looking at Chi Cheng or anyone else.

He lowered his head, his shoulders trembling almost imperceptibly, and walked quickly to the door, almost rushing out of the rehearsal room as if escaping.

The door slammed shut behind him, blocking out all sounds and sights from inside.

Chi Cheng stood where he was, the burning pain on his face still there, but it felt like a piece of his heart was hollowed out, hurting a thousand times more than the slap on his face.

He looked at the door where Wu Suowei disappeared, and his ears kept echoing with his roar of "I fucking hate you being dirty!", every word like a poisoned knife.

He subconsciously raised his hand and rubbed the place where Wu Suwei had slapped him with his fingertips. His eyes were dark and unclear, filled with almost paranoid emotions that no one could understand.

Wu Suowei leaned against the wall in the corridor, his chest heaving violently and his whole body trembling slightly.

He recalled the clear slap mark on Chi Cheng's face and the dazzling, bloodshot smile at the corner of his mouth. Listening to Brother Nian's excited praise, he felt cold all over and his stomach churned.

Acting...yes, just acting...

He kept telling himself this, trying to suppress the chaos and pain that was churning in his heart.

He blinked hard, pushing back the sourness, and forced himself to force a smile that was uglier than crying.

Wu Suowei walked back into the rehearsal room and turned to Brother Nian: "Director Nian... that... that salary... five hundred a day... with meals... and a commission... is that true?"

There was a slight tremor in his voice, but his eyes were fixed on Brother Nian, as if the five hundred yuan was his only lifeline at the moment.

Nian Ge was stunned for a moment, then burst into laughter. "Really! Absolutely true! The contract takes effect once signed! Teacher Wu, your professionalism is truly admirable!"

Brother Nian stopped halfway when he was about to walk out. He looked at the horrifying expression and eyes on Chi Cheng's face, then looked at Wu Suowei at the door. He shut his mouth awkwardly, and was worried.

This... this scene has been tried out, but this atmosphere... why does it feel wrong?
