Chapter 52: We agreed not to cross the line

Chapter 52: We agreed not to cross the line

The car stopped in front of the clinic, the engine was turned off, and the surroundings became quiet in an instant.

The air inside the car still retained the noise of the amusement park and the shock brought by Chi Cheng's declaration.

Wu Suowei held the huge ugly crocodile doll in his arms, his fingers unconsciously pulling at the crocodile's rough fur.

His mind was in a mess.

Chi Cheng's words were still buzzing in his ears - "My life is yours", "Don't hide from me anymore"...

He's crazy... absolutely crazy...

But the area around my chest became soft and hot uncontrollably.

"We're here." Chi Cheng's voice broke the silence. It was still low, but less cold and hard than usual.

Wu Suowei seemed to be awakened and suddenly came to his senses.

"Oh." He responded, his voice a little dry.

I lowered my head to unbuckle my seatbelt, my movements a little flustered, my fingers not quite under my control.

Hurry and leave! If you stay any longer, something bad will happen!

He held the doll, opened the car door, jumped out as if escaping, and rushed to the clinic door without looking back.

The key was inserted into the lock, turned, and he slipped in, trying to close the door with his backhand—

One hand held the door firmly.

Wu Suowei's heart skipped a beat and he looked up.

Chi Cheng's figure was blocking the doorway. Against the light of the street lamp, his expression could not be seen clearly, only his eyes were surprisingly bright in the dim light.

"What are you doing?" Wu Suowei subconsciously hugged the doll in his arms tightly, his voice filled with tension that he himself didn't even realize, "I... I'm here, you... you go back."

Chi Cheng didn't say anything, but took a step forward. His tall body easily squeezed into the door, and he closed the door of the clinic with a "click" with his backhand.

The space suddenly became small, leaving only the slightly rapid breathing of the two people.

Wu Suowei was forced to take a step back, his back against the cold medicine cabinet.

What does he want to do?

The chaotic, heart-pounding scenes from the amusement park came flooding back.

Chi Cheng looked at his instantly tense body and alert eyes, and the restlessness in his heart that had just been calmed down rose again.

Are you still afraid of me?

He took a deep breath and forced himself to suppress the urge to press the person into his arms.

His eyes swept across the ugly crocodile in Wu Suowei's arms, and then fell back on his face. He deliberately lowered and slowed his voice, with a bit of clumsy coaxing that even he found unfamiliar.

"It's too late," he made a lame excuse. "Driving...isn't safe."

Wu Suowei almost laughed out of anger.

Driving is unsafe? When has Chi Cheng ever cared about this?

He glared: "Then...then take a taxi back!"

"Tired." Chi Cheng said concisely and took another half step forward. The distance was so close that Wu Suowei could smell the faint scent of tobacco on him, mixed with an extremely aggressive male hormone.

Wu Suowei was flustered by his aura and the approaching distance. He held the doll with his arms tighter, and his fingertips turned white from the pressure.

"You...if you are tired, go home and sleep! I...I have no room here!" He raised his voice a little, trying to increase his momentum.

Chi Cheng seemed not to hear, his eyes passed over him and fell on the small door leading to the inner room.

"Just squeeze in."

"No!" Wu Suowei refused without thinking.

Let him stay? What a joke! Who knows if he will...

Some dangerous images flashed through my mind uncontrollably, and my cheeks instantly became hot.

Chi Cheng looked at his ears that turned red instantly and his forced calmness, and the evil element in his heart was ready to move again.

He leaned over slightly, closing the distance between them, his hot breath almost spraying on Wu Suowei's forehead.

The voice was lowered even more, with a kind of persuasive instigation and a hint of cheating.

"Just one night." He looked at Wu Suowei's eyelashes that were trembling with nervousness, "...I promise not to touch you."

He spoke slowly, with a provocative emphasis.

Wu Suowei's heart was beating so fast that it seemed like it was about to explode.

He looked at Chi Cheng's face, which was so close to him, and saw the dark complex emotions surging in his eyes...

The words of refusal were stuck in my throat and I couldn't say them.

He... he seemed... really just tired?

As if by some strange coincidence, Wu Suowei heard his own mosquito-like humming voice:

"...Then...then we have a deal...No...No crossing the line!"

A glimmer of success flashed across the depths of Chi Cheng's eyes.

"Yeah." He responded straightforwardly, stood up straight, and the oppressive pressure was instantly removed.

Wu Suowei breathed a sigh of relief, only to find that his back was covered in sweat.

He held the ugly crocodile in his arms, lowered his head, and walked towards his room with unsteady steps.

"I...I'll get you a towel..." His voice was still a little vague.

Chi Cheng didn't follow him in, but leaned against the door frame, looking at Wu Suowei's panicked back as he rummaged through the drawers inside with a heavy gaze.

The small room is filled with the atmosphere of Wu Suowei's life. It is a little messy, but very lively.

Wu Suowei dug out a relatively clean towel, lowered his head and handed it to Chi Cheng, not daring to look him in the eye the whole time.

"Here...here you are." After saying that, he wanted to slip back to his bed.

"Wait." Chi Cheng took the towel but didn't move.

His eyes swept across the corner of the room where there was a pile of junk, and finally landed on the familiar little stove that was a little dusty.

Wu Suowei followed his gaze and his heart skipped a beat.

Why is he looking at that?

Chi Cheng walked over, picked up the small bamboo tube next to him, and twisted the hardened candy with his fingers.

"Well," he looked at Wu Suowei with a questioning look in his eyes, "can you still do it?"

Wu Suowei was stunned for a moment, then he understood.

Blowing sugar figures? I haven't done that in eight hundred years.

He frowned: "You are already an adult, and you are still playing this?"

There was a hint of disgust in his tone.

"I want it." Chi Cheng looked at him with a stubborn look, like a child asking for candy, which formed a strange contrast with his tall and cold appearance.

"Get one." It's not a negotiation, it's a request.

Wu Suowei's scalp tingled when he looked at him, and the uncomfortable feeling in his heart came back.

What the hell is going on here?! Why are you asking for a candy man in the middle of the night?!

But looking at Chi Cheng's "not giving up until I give it" look, and then looking at the barely perceptible expectation in his eyes...?

Wu Suowei grabbed his hair in annoyance.

Forget it! Just make one and send him to bed!

He walked over angrily and snatched the small bamboo tube from Chi Cheng's hand.

"It's been a long time since I last did this... I'm not very familiar with it..." He muttered, moved out the small stove in the corner and wiped off the dust.

The sugar cubes slowly soften, giving off a sweet, burnt aroma.

Chi Cheng's eyes were fixed on Wu Suowei's hand.

Wu Suowei picked up a small ball with a bamboo stick.

The orange-yellow treacle stretched out into long, sticky threads, shining with a warm luster under the dim light.

It really looks like...

Chi Cheng's Adam's apple rolled uncontrollably and his eyes darkened.

Wu Suowei lowered his head slightly, and the fine hair on his forehead fell down a little, covering his eyebrows and eyes.

He brought the bamboo stick to his lips, and Chi Cheng's eyes immediately focused on the two pale lips.

Wu Suowei's lips were slightly parted, not very big, but with a clear shape and distinct lip lines.

He took a breath, and the sides of his cheeks sunk slightly, revealing a clear outline of his cheekbones.

Then, he puffed up his cheeks and blew gently. A small bubble instantly swelled up and swayed tremblingly at the top of the bamboo stick.

The light fell on his lips, reflecting a little moist luster.

Chi Cheng held his breath unconsciously, his gaze fixed on the two soft lips that were slightly stretched open by the breath.

Chi Cheng's eyes followed those nimble fingers. The syrup was stretched, entangled, and gently pinched, and gradually a vague outline of petals appeared under Wu Suowei's fingertips.

His fingers...are so fucking flexible...

An inexplicable heat rose from Chi Cheng's lower abdomen, and his fingertips curled up unconsciously as he imagined the feeling of those fingers with thin calluses sliding across his skin.

Fine beads of sweat oozed out of the tip of Wu Suowei's nose, gleaming faintly under the dim light.

"Here." Wu Suowei handed over the bamboo stick, holding the crystal clear sugar flower between the two of them, with no expression on his face, "Just take a look at it."

Chi Cheng's gaze was fixed on the small, crystal clear sugar flower, his eyes deep.

He stretched out his hand, but did not take it immediately. His fingertips gently touched the edge of the fragile petals.

Warm, with a sweet scent.

He raised his eyes and looked at Wu Suowei, with a very shallow, playful arc on the corner of his mouth: "For me?"

Wu Suowei felt uncomfortable being stared at, so he retracted his hand and said unhappily, "It's for the dog!"

Do you want love?

Chi Cheng reached out quickly and took the bamboo stick steadily.

He didn't eat it. Instead, he stared intently at the small candy flower for a few seconds, as if it were some rare treasure.

Then, he walked to Wu Suowei's desk, carefully found an empty space in the pen holder full of miscellaneous items, and inserted the bamboo stick with sugar flowers neatly into it.

The orange-yellow sugar flowers reflected a faint warm light under the dim light of the table lamp.

After doing all this, Chi Cheng turned around and his gaze fell back on Wu Suowei.

The look in his eyes changed. It was no longer playful or inquiring, but a kind of intensely aggressive focus, like an invisible net that instantly enveloped Wu Suowei.

Wu Suowei felt uneasy when he looked at him, and subconsciously took a step back: "You...what are you doing?"

Chi Cheng didn't say anything, but just walked towards him slowly, step by step.

His footsteps made a dull sound on the wooden floor as he walked in front of Wu Suowei, so close that they could feel the heat from each other's bodies.

Then, in Wu Suowei's astonished gaze, Chi Cheng's hand moved to his waist.

The metal buckle made a light "click" sound, which was particularly clear in the silent room.
