Chapter 61 Good morning... Mr. Chi
Early in the morning, Wu Suowei quietly got up and washed while Chi Cheng was still asleep.
I played too much last night, so after Chi Cheng pulled me out of the bathroom, he took care of me carefully.
Before long, the silence outside the door turned into rhythmic knocks.
"Come out." Chi Cheng's voice came through the door, and it was impossible to tell whether he was happy or angry.
Wu Suowei shuddered, turned on the faucet in a panic, and splashed cold water on his face several times.
The person in the mirror had a pale face, dark circles under his eyes, and looked extremely abused.
He took a few deep breaths, trying hard to suppress his pounding heart and weak legs, and then he opened the door with trembling hands.
Outside the door, Chi Cheng was already dressed.
The dark shirt wrapped around his sturdy body, buttons fastened meticulously to below his Adam's apple, and the expensive watch on his wrist reflected a cold light.
He stood there, his bottomless eyes fixed on Wu Suowei's face.
His left hand was casually tucked into his trouser pocket, and on his right wrist... the red mark left by the silk tie was extremely eye-catching.
Wu Suowei's eyes quickly swept across the red mark, and his throat tightened.
He forced a smile, his voice a little hoarse: "Good morning... Good morning, Mr. Chi."
He tried to squeeze past Chi Cheng and get away.
Chi Cheng didn't move.
Just when Wu Suowei was about to pass by, the left hand in the trouser pocket stretched out like lightning and accurately grabbed Wu Suowei's neck.
Wu Suowei's hair stood on end, he froze in place for an instant, and even his breathing stopped.
Chi Cheng leaned forward slightly, his hot breath spraying on Wu Suowei's sensitive earlobe, and his voice was very low: "Did you have fun last night, Wu Suowei?"
The skin on the back of Wu Suowei's neck shrank due to the heat of his breath, and his scalp felt numb.
He could feel Chi Cheng's fingers rubbing his neck slowly, with scrutiny and threat.
He forced himself to relax his body, even leaning back slightly, letting the back of his neck get closer to Chi Cheng's palm, adopting an almost submissive posture, but he tried to keep his voice steady, even with a hint of innocence.
"It's... okay? Mr. Chi, did you... sleep well?" He pretended to be stupid, his eyes flickering, not daring to look into Chi Cheng's eyes.
Chi Cheng stared at him for a full ten seconds. Just when Wu Suowei thought he was going to attack, the hand that was holding the back of his neck loosened, and instead patted the back of his head twice, neither too light nor too heavy.
"Go change your clothes." Chi Cheng stood up straight, regaining his calm demeanor. "Come with me to the set today."
The crew? Wu Suowei was stunned.
That’s right, Brother Nian has sent out the script, and I have to go rehearse today, so I almost forgot.
He didn't dare to ask more questions, and said "Oh" vaguely, and almost slipped back to the bedroom to change clothes.
He could feel the cold gaze from behind him sticking to him, like a thorn in his back.
Have you managed to get through this stage temporarily?
Wu Suowei put on the clothes prepared by Chi Cheng, feeling a lingering fear.
But this madman definitely holds a grudge! He tied him up last night, and now he dares to slap him on the head?
This grudge is huge!
Going to the crew... Are you trying to find a deserted beach to sink me?
He shuddered and quickly shook off the horrible thought.
I can't blame him... After all, last night...
He felt ashamed looking at the shaking mirror in front of him.
As the car drove out of the city, the sea breeze became stronger and stronger.
The crew chose a relatively secluded and high-quality beach with blue sea, blue sky, white sand and beautiful scenery.
Wu Suowei followed Chi Cheng half a step behind, trying to reduce his presence.
As soon as Chi Cheng appeared, Brother Nian immediately came up to greet him with a big smile on his face.
"Hey, I've been waiting for you two."
Wu Suowei followed his gaze and his heart skipped a beat.
In the sunshine, a young man was smiling and talking to the staff next to him.
He has fair skin, delicate features, and a gentle smile, looking like a harmless boy next door.
Wang Shuo.
Wu Suowei had seen this person's photo and naturally recognized him.
Why is he here?! An actor?
Wu Suowei's pupils suddenly shrank, and a cold anger mixed with the absurd feeling of being teased by fate rushed to his head.
He subconsciously clenched his fists, digging his nails deep into his palms, and barely suppressed the urge to rush up and punch that person in the face.
What's not to be confused about? They're trying to rob a good family... no, a bad family boy.
Chi Cheng keenly caught the momentary stiffness of the person next to him and the look that almost spitted fire.
He calmly withdrew his gaze from Wang Shuo, tilted his head, and asked Wu Suowei casually, "Did you recognize him?"
Wu Suowei suddenly came back to his senses and realized that he had lost his composure.
He quickly lowered his head to hide the hatred in his eyes. When he looked up again, his face was filled with just the right amount of confusion and strangeness, and even a bit of curiosity about the handsome guy.
"Huh? I don't know him. I just thought... this actor was quite handsome. Do you know him?"
His tone was natural and his eyes were clear, as if he was really just attracted by Wang Shuo's appearance.
Only he himself knew that his back teeth were almost broken.
Chi Cheng looked at him deeply. He didn't say whether he believed it or not. He just said "hmm" lightly, and no emotion could be heard from him.
Don't know him? The look in his eyes just now didn't seem like he was looking at a stranger.
He had just asked him for a photo of Wang Shuo last night, and he didn't believe that his Weiwei had such a bad memory.
Chi Cheng sneered in his heart, but his face remained calm.
Wang Shuo? Now he was just a minor figure with whom he had a slight acquaintance.
There's even some hatred.
But it can make Wu Suowei instantly get angry...that's very interesting.
What should I do? My child is jealous.
He calmly put Wang Shuo on the list of people who needed "special attention".
On the other side, Wang Shuo also noticed the movement here.
When his eyes fell on Chi Cheng, they instantly flashed with astonishment and undisguised ambition.
After not seeing you for such a long time... As expected... You are still as exquisite as ever.
His heart was pounding.
His gaze then fell on Wu Suowei beside Chi Cheng, with scrutiny and a hint of imperceptible contempt.
Who is this person? Assistant?
He looks ordinary, how could he be so close to Chi Cheng?
Wang Shuo's mind raced, and he quickly put on his signature, warm and harmless smile and walked over here.
"Long time no see, Chi Cheng. I play Lin Feng in the play." He bowed slightly, keeping a low posture, his voice clear and pleasant, with just the right amount of admiration and nervousness, but his eyes looked at Chi Cheng boldly and with a hook.
Chi Cheng didn't even raise his eyelids, and only made a very faint "hmm" from his nose as a response.
His disregard is more embarrassing than a direct rejection.
The smile on Wang Shuo's face froze for a moment, but soon returned to normal, as if he didn't feel Chi Cheng's indifference.
His gaze naturally turned to Wu Suowei, and his smile became even more friendly and cordial: "Is this... your friend? Hello, I'm Wang Shuo."
