Chapter 10: My friend's death is not my death
Chi Cheng said this to Guo Chengyu, but the strength of his arms was only directed at the little beast in his arms that wanted to escape.
"Fuck you! Who wants to go with you! Let me go!" Wu Suowei was so angry that his lungs hurt and his face turned red. He used all his strength to pry the iron arm around his waist, but it didn't move at all.
He struggled even harder: "Let go! Who wants to join you? Chi Cheng, are you sick?"
"What on earth are you doing?!" Wu Suowei almost shouted, his voice trembling slightly.
Now he just wanted to get as far away from this source of danger as possible. Any bullshit palpitations or any wishful thinking left over from his previous life were not as important as his life!
Make money! Stay alive! Stay away from Chi Cheng!
This is his only goal in coming back to life!
Chi Cheng seemed to be pleased by his intense reaction, and tightened his arms around his waist, almost embedding him in his arms.
Warm breath swept across Wu Suowei's sensitive earlobe, and the magnetic voice was very low, like the whispers between lovers, but full of unquestionable control: "Of course, this is what you said."
Wu Suowei's face instantly turned red all the way to the base of his neck.
This bastard deliberately misinterpreted it!
"No! No!" Wu Suowei was so anxious that his tongue became tied and he spoke incoherently, "That's not what I meant... I, I..."
What should I do?
You won’t win by force, you have to think of a way!
Wu Suowei's mind was working rapidly. He caught a glimpse of Jiang Xiaoshuai who was still standing stupidly at the door out of the corner of his eye, and an idea suddenly came to him!
Jiang Xiaoshuai! Yes, Master!
He suddenly raised his head and looked at Jiang Xiaoshuai as if he was grabbing a life-saving straw, his voice rising: "Ah - that! Master! Are you... are you going to change the dressing for me? The wound seems to hurt a little..."
As he spoke, he tried to make a painful expression.
Jiang Xiaoshuai was in shock and confusion, thinking "My brother was forcibly hugged by the boss" and "This scene is a bit exciting", and was startled by Wu Suwei's sudden shout.
When Jiang Xiaoshuai met Wu Suowei's anxious eyes that were filled with "Help! Take me away!", an idea suddenly came to him.
"Ah! Right, right, right!" Jiang Xiaoshuai slapped his forehead, his acting exaggerated, "Look at my memory! Yes, yes! It's time to change the medicine! There's no time to delay!"
As he spoke, he quickly glanced at Chi Cheng and Guo Chengyu.
Guo Chengyu raised his eyebrows slightly, his eyes moving back and forth between Chi Cheng's hand hugging Wu Suowei and Jiang Xiaoshuai, and he coughed twice meaningfully.
Chi Cheng looked at Jiang Xiaoshuai with a half-smile, and that look made Jiang Xiaoshuai feel creepy.
Jiang Xiaoshuai made up his mind: rather than let his friend die, he would rather die!
Brother, I'm sorry!
He grabbed the arm of Guo Chengyu, who was watching the show nearby, and spoke quickly: "That... medicine... the medicine is in the cabinet over there! Excuse me, Mr. Chi! Dawei is in your hands! Chengyu, let's go, don't disturb Mr. Chi from changing the medicine!"
After saying that, without waiting for anyone to react, he exerted all his strength, dragged Guo Chengyu, who had a playful look on his face, into the inner room, and slammed the door.
Guo Chengyu: ???
He staggered and before he could say anything, he was dragged over.
Outside the door, Wu Suowei's low voice could be clearly heard: "Damn! You forget your loyalty for the sake of beauty!"
He simply wanted to order a song of "Liang Liang" for himself.
Master! You're selling me out too easily, aren't you?!
The world suddenly became eerily quiet, with only the steady heartbeat of the man behind her and her own drum-like heartbeat intertwined together.
Chi Cheng did not loosen his arm around Wu Suowei's waist, but instead turned him around so that he was forced to face each other.
Chi Cheng lowered his head slightly, his deep and sharp eyes fixed on Wu Suowei with a playful expression, and there was a hint of a smile at the corner of his mouth, as if he was admiring the prey's last futile struggle.
Wu Suowei's scalp tingled and his heart began to beat wildly when he looked at him.
It’s over, it’s over, Jiang Xiaoshuai, you’re unreliable!
He forced himself to remain calm, stiffening his neck, and warned in a timid tone, "What are you looking at? I'm warning you, Chi Cheng, I'll change the medicine myself. You, you stay away from me! Go away!"
But I was wailing in my heart: Ancestors, please, stay away from me, I want to live a few more years!
Chi Cheng ignored his "warning" and his eyes fell on the bruise on his forehead that was barely covered by the cheap foundation. He frowned slightly and asked, "Where is the injury?"
Wu Suowei was stunned. He subconsciously raised his hand to touch his forehead, but felt that this action seemed too weak. He quickly put it down and pointed at his forehead in annoyance: "Can't you see it?"
Such a big bruise! It's all because of your bad karma!
Although it hasn't happened yet, seeing this scar reminds me of the brick!
Chi Cheng ignored the sting in his words and just said two words lightly: "Stay."
He released the hand that was around Wu Suowei's waist, but his other hand pressed on his shoulder. The force was not strong, but it carried a clear instruction of "don't move".
Then he turned around and opened the cabinet that Jiang Xiaoshuai pointed to.
Wu Suowei was about to retort, "Why should I listen to you?", when he saw Chi Cheng stride forward with his long legs and walk straight towards the cabinet that Jiang Xiaoshuai had just pointed at.
Wu Suowei's shoulders were pressed by him, and he couldn't move or stay still. He could only watch him search.
This bastard, why does he order me around?
He was filled with a fire of anger and a sense of powerlessness with nowhere to escape.
Chi Cheng quickly found the medicine box, brought it over, opened it, and took out iodine, cotton swabs, and a small bottle of blood-activating and blood-stasis-removing medicinal oil.
He unscrewed the cap of the medicinal oil bottle, and a strong smell of Chinese medicine filled the air.
"Give it to me, I'll do it myself!" Wu Suowei immediately reached out to grab the bottle of medicated oil.
This medicated oil doesn't look cheap, it would be a waste to use it on him!
I can just wipe it myself!
Chi Cheng flipped his wrist and easily avoided his hand, and the medicine bottle fell steadily into his palm.
He raised his eyelids and glanced at Wu Suowei, his tone calm but choking: "Can you see?"
Wu Suowei choked: "I... I looked in the mirror..."
"Behave yourself," Chi Cheng interrupted him, his voice low and full of a strange, irrefutable sense of oppression, even mixed with a hint of... coaxing, "Be good."
The word "good" suddenly passed through Wu Suowei's nerve endings like a weak electric current.
His whole body froze, and the rest of the words got stuck in his throat and he couldn't say them anymore.
Did this bastard take the wrong medicine? Or is he playing tricks on me again?
Wu Suowei was forced to raise his head with his body stiff.
Chi Cheng leaned very close, his warm breath brushing against his forehead, and the unique smell of Chi Cheng, a mixture of tobacco and cold air, enveloped him.
This familiar scene, the familiar smell of medicine, and even the handsome profile in front of me that was focused and a little impatient... were all like a cold key that instantly opened Pandora's box.
It was like that back then...
Looking at the wound on her head caused by the mysterious brick man, she did the same and applied medicine to him silently.
His actions were not gentle, and were even a bit rough, but that unquestionable attitude of "taking care of you" made Wu Suwei, whose heart and eyes were full of him at the time, feel extremely at ease and... excited.
But now...
Wu Suowei's heart felt like it was being gripped by an ice-cold hand.
The throbbing is still there, but the fear is deeper.
Why...why can't I escape?
