Chapter 8: The Good Little Jealous Girl
Wu Suowei's body also stiffened.
The image of greasy wrists and the pungent smell of perfume flashed through his mind, and his stomach churned.
Damn! This lunatic!
He roared wildly in his heart.
A threat! A naked threat!
But it is undeniable that Chi Cheng’s words hit the point that he was most worried about.
If Chi Cheng hadn't suddenly appeared today, he might have had to fight with that old lady to get away. The thought of it makes his scalp tingle.
If I could do it again...
Chi Cheng seemed very satisfied to see his embarrassed look with his ears turning red and his eyes flickering.
His hand finally moved away from Wu Suowei's chest, and he patted Wu Suowei's shoulder soothingly, but his action carried an unquestionable sense of control.
He tilted his head slightly, his lips almost touching Wu Suowei's earlobe, and whispered in a lighter, more ambiguous and suggestive tone.
"I can help you...but...I have to charge some interest..." His eyes swept meaningfully over Wu Suowei's chest, which was slightly heaving due to nervousness, and his red neck.
"What interest?" Wu Suowei spoke with a trembling voice, and was currently brainstorming how to get out of this situation.
Chi Cheng chuckled, his breath blowing against Wu Suowei's ear, causing him to shudder. "Simple, just let me go for once."
"Damn! Chi Cheng!" Wu Suowei instantly became like a cat whose tail was stepped on, and he exploded!
The embarrassment he felt just now was instantly replaced by immense shame and anger. He turned his head sharply, almost bumping into Chi Cheng's face, his cheeks flushed and his eyes widened. "That's all you have on your mind, right? Pervert! Hooligan! Let me go!"
His reaction obviously pleased Chi Cheng.
Chi Cheng chuckled softly, his laughter carrying a hint of joyful magnetism.
He finally stood up and put some distance between them, but the hand that had just patted his shoulder slid down and patted Wu Suowei's perky buttocks lightly.
Bang!
The crisp sound was particularly clear in the empty parking lot.
"Get in the car." Chi Cheng withdrew his hand, as if the ambiguous whisper and the gangster's behavior just now had not existed. His tone returned to his usual commanding and lazy tone, and he nodded his chin towards the open car door, "I'll take you home."
"Hiss!" Wu Suowei covered his slapped buttocks, feeling embarrassed and angry. He stared at Chi Cheng's handsome face that looked as if he was entitled, and was so angry that his teeth were itching.
You're crazy! You're arrogant! Who asked you to give it to me?
He was about to refuse firmly, but a little calculation in his mind jumped out at an inopportune time.
I looked at the empty set around me, then at my own tattered costume and empty pockets...
Take a taxi back?
He was calculating rapidly in his mind.
It costs at least fifty or sixty yuan to go back to the city from the film and television city!
Enough for me to eat several boxed lunches!
…
Forget it... it's stupid to be so stingy with money...
Just think of it as a free ride! The money you save is the money you earn!
"Tsk!" Wu Suowei snorted, with a look of reluctance and a feeling of "I'm only tolerating you to save money". He slid down from the hood nimbly, rubbing his painful lower back and muttering to himself.
"If taking a taxi wasn't too expensive, I wouldn't bother with you..." After saying that, without even looking at Chi Cheng, he bent down and got into the spacious back seat of the luxury car, and even moved to the innermost part, as far away from the car door as possible.
Chi Cheng looked at him, who was obviously a coward but was still stubborn and calculating, and the smile in his eyes deepened.
He went around to the other side and got in the back seat as well.
The car door was closed, isolating the outside world.
The space inside the car instantly became private and quiet, with only the low hum of the engine starting and the subtle sound of the air conditioner.
The cold scent belonging to Chi Cheng, with a hint of tobacco and a slight fishy smell of snake, became clearer and stronger, wrapping Wu Suowei tightly.
Wu Suowei tensed his body and huddled in the corner as much as possible, his eyes fixed on the rapidly receding street scene outside the window, trying hard to ignore the huge source of danger around him.
However, his gaze still uncontrollably and cautiously drifted to Chi Cheng's hand casually placed on his knee.
The little snow-white snake, the little vinegar bag, was quietly wrapped around his fingertips, its small head slightly raised, its scarlet tongue occasionally poking out, as if sensing the breath in the air.
Small vinegar bag...
Wu Suowei felt as if something had gently poked his heart.
Still so good... so beautiful...
It is not as cold and huge as the yellow dragon, which carries no deadly threat.
The little vinegar boy is very docile and even a little clingy to him.
When Chi Cheng was not around, it would occasionally sneak up to Wu Suowei, rub the back of his hand with its cold little head, or curl up on his wrist to sleep.
That slightly cool and smooth touch was one of the few moments when he felt warm.
An imperceptible trace of nostalgia and tenderness quietly crept into Wu Suowei's tense eyes.
He stared at the little vinegar bag with a dazed look in his eyes.
Chi Cheng's senses are so sharp.
He almost immediately caught the subtle change in Wu Suowei's eyes.
It wasn't the deep-seated fear and disgust that we felt when we first met, but a kind of... complex, slightly nostalgic... calmness?
Even... a slight hint of liking?
This discovery instantly made Chi Cheng's interest reach its peak.
Interesting... so interesting! This little thing is scared to death of itself, but not afraid of the jealous little thing?
Even... there's something else in his eyes?
A vicious gleam flashed in Chi Cheng's eyes.
He deliberately moved his fingers, allowing the little jealous boy to follow his wrist and slowly crawl towards Wu Suowei.
The little white snake moved lightly and silently, its cold scales glowing faintly in the dim carriage.
"Ah!" Wu Suowei was immersed in his memories when he suddenly saw the little jealous boy crawling towards him. He was startled and instinctively shrank back with his back pressed against the car door.
"Hmm?" Chi Cheng tilted his head and calmly watched him become alert instantly. He deliberately drew out his tone and asked, "Are you... scared?"
His eyes were fixed on every subtle expression of Wu Suowei.
Afraid? Wu Suowei was stunned for a moment.
He looked at the little jealous girl who was so close to him, still so quiet, even with her head tilted as if she was "looking" at him, and that familiar, slightly cool feeling of closeness came over him again.
Is he afraid of the little jealous girl?
It seems not, I even want to touch it.
He subconsciously shook his head and blurted out: "What are you afraid of? It's just a little snake..." There was a hint of "protection" and "comfort" in his tone for the little jealous girl, which he himself didn't even realize.
As soon as he said that, Wu Suowei regretted it!
It's over! I said the wrong thing again!
Wouldn't a normal person be scared when seeing a snake crawling towards them?!
Sure enough, Chi Cheng's deep black eyes narrowed instantly, and a stronger sense of exploration and amusement surged in them, as if he had discovered some extremely interesting puzzle.
He chuckled softly, his voice low and magnetic: "Haha... Interesting."
