Knight's Declaration
It still took several days to purify the entire eastern mainland.
In order to prevent any demons from being missed, the Knight Wizard conducted a thorough search around the entire Eastern Continent, exterminated the polluted marine life near the coast, and set up signs prohibiting entry and exit in the near future.
The eastern mainland has returned to a state of having nothing.
But everyone believes that the sea breeze will bring new life to this continent.
Inger, who was leaving on the warship, looked back and saw a seabird landed on the coast of the East Continent and looked at them with its eyes rolling.
The news of the victory had reached the Western Continent before they returned.
To say that the whole country was celebrating was not enough; all the countries in the entire Western Continent were in a frenzy.
They successfully defeated the source of the demon disaster and wiped out all the pure-blooded demons and monsters. Most of the high-ranking knights returned almost unscathed. If this is not a miracle, what is a miracle?
All major stores announced free activities, and people took to the streets to parade and celebrate the victory of mankind.
The parliament hastily designated this week as a holiday to celebrate humanity's victory in the war between humans and demons.
The heroes were surrounded by the crowd from the moment they landed until the king returned to the capital.
Alex perfectly played the two glorious roles of hero and king, and waved to the crowd with a friendly and gentle smile along the way.
Wherever he went, the screams almost pierced the eardrums.
In sharp contrast is Inger.
He looked listless the whole time. In the parade, he sat next to Alex without even glazing at him.
"Ying, you should smile too. It's a simple matter to wave at them."
"I don't want to." Ingel nestled in the car seat, folded his hands and muttered, "Why can't I teleport back?"
He always hated such occasions and felt more exhausted than fighting.
They returned to the capital on a special north-south train, where the scale of the welcome was even more terrifying.
After finally ending the parade, the two of them had no time to spare, so they left Ola to deal with some urgent matters and quickly ran to the Goodness Mansion.
According to the Viscount and his wife, the two girls have been able to get up and sit by the window to chat and enjoy the view these days.
They also regard this as a blessing from the goddess and are grateful.
Little do they know that they are goddesses.
When Inger saw Lu and Ling, they looked very healthy, their skin like the pink roses on the fence outside the window, but to him, it was just a last gasp of life.
"Are you here to ask about the crack?"
Alex and Inger sat down on the sofa.
"Before we left, there was no movement in those things. Can we just leave them there?"
Lu twirled the ends of her hair: "That thing has a special ability to cause cracks in the space itself. What you see is its manifestation. It also used this ability when it came from other time and space."
Ling said: "To be honest, this rift is very serious. If left unchecked, this world will be linked to other time and space at best, or even torn apart by the distortion of time and space at worst."
Alex frowned and asked, "What's the solution?"
Lu bowed his head and smiled: "This has nothing to do with you. The laws of the world stipulate that we cannot interfere with the laws of cause and effect in the human world, but when it comes to the essence of the world, it is our domain. We will be responsible for repairing these cracks."
Ling nodded: "And you have already destroyed the alien that caused this thing. We can't detect the existence of aliens at all. Once we repair the cracks, such cracks will no longer occur. The root of the world will be completely stable."
Lu thought for a moment and said, "Now that I think about it, the reason why the Sea God Morrene chose to assimilate himself with the ocean was probably because the cracks first appeared in the ocean."
Inger was stunned. He opened his mouth and said, "This means..."
Lu smiled and said, "Yes, we will fill these cracks with ourselves."
Zero: "We will return to the origin of the world and become part of it."
Alex and Inger didn't know what to say, a complex emotion filled their chests.
Alex had always had some slights against the goddess because of Inger and the human affairs. But after the last battle and now, the knot in his heart has been untied silently.
God is not omnipotent. Faced with the emergence of alien creatures, they have tried their best to stop them and protect humanity as much as possible.
They just want to give humanity a natural ending.
Lu smiled and said, "Don't look so sad. We just exist in a different way. We will always be with you."
Inger looked into their eyes, and only then did he truly realize that the being before him was God.
They have no concept of life and death. They are born from the world, maintain this world, breed various lives, harmonize the balance, and then return to the world to continue their mission. Their existence is higher-level and more grand than that of humans.
Ling looked at him and suddenly said, "Although Ritsu told me not to ask you, I must tell you this. If you really die unnatural deaths nine times, you will become an existence equal to us."
In other words, it is God.
Inger and Alex were both stunned.
Although Alex has broken through to level ten, he is still a human being. His life span will be extended, but he will not become a true god.
However, with the curse of the phoenix, Inger's magic level, and his otherworldly soul, he might actually become a god.
Alex couldn't help but hold his hand.
Inger patted the back of his hand gently, and he smiled and said, "No. I don't want to be a god. I just want to live an ordinary life as a human being."
He still doesn't understand why those villains want infinite life.
Really give him a chance to become God.
No matter how many times, his choice is no.
Moreover, he now knew that God was not immortal.
Ritsu poked Ling: "I've already said that human emotions are different from ours. The answer must be this."
Zero: "Then I have to ask this too? This is a necessary procedure."
Inger asked: "Then the magic of this world..."
Lu stretched out his hand and pointed at his chest. "We originally expected that after we returned to the origin of the world, the magic of this world would gradually disappear, but you, a variable, appeared. Your language connects to the remaining power of another world."
"so......."
"As long as you exist, the magic of this world will not disappear. As for what happens after that, we don't know."
“…” Inger lowered his head.
Alex squeezed his hand tightly. "Even without magic, humans can still survive."
Inger smiled slightly.
Now, he and Alex were of the same mind.
Humans are already able to use electricity. Even if magic disappears one day and magic stones run out, humans can still find other ways to survive.
After God merges into this world, he will no longer be able to interfere in the human world as before, and people will create everything with their own power.
"Of course, it is also possible that we will continue to maintain the magic of the world. I hope you can feel more at ease with this."
The goddess smiled comfortingly.
Inger then asked them, "Did the God of Time and Space show up?"
They shook their heads: “Not at the moment.”
Ling said: "If he wants to come, he will probably go directly to you."
Lu said: "By the way, after we leave, these two bodies will fall into eternal sleep."
Eternal sleep means death to living things.
Zero: "Remember your little cat?"
"Coco?!" they both said in unison.
Lu laughed again: "Although we cannot revive her body, which would upset the balance, you can take one of our bodies and let her possess it."
This is also to give the poor couple some hope.
"After we leave, this body will become healthy and grow slowly. Don't worry."
Both of them had bright expressions on their faces.
They talked some more, and finally Inger and Alex stood up.
They couldn't help but look back at the door. Two girls were sitting by the window, holding hands, and they smiled and waved at them.
This is goodbye.
The snow is still falling outside.
quietly.
Silently.
gently.
It symbolizes the end of the mythical era.
Next comes the human century.
In short, there was a mountain of things to be sorted out after the war.
The heroes returning from the war fell into endless overtime.
They only had a little time on the eve of the celebration.
At night, Alex and Inger sneak out of the palace.
They came to a remote and deserted hillside, from the top of which they could see the lights of the bustling night market streets.
"Look! I didn't know which bottles to choose, so I brought all the varieties I could get." Alex took out the bottles of wine from the foam box filled with ice with great interest.
Inger looked at the labels one by one, and when he saw the brand of his own winery, he smiled slightly, opened a bottle, and swirled it in the glass.
Bubbles rise and burst in the transparent golden wine.
Alex opened the barbecue and other snacks he bought at the night market, and the fat was still dancing on them.
Inger also took a bunch. "I haven't eaten it for a long time. I thought you wouldn't let me eat anything too greasy."
Alex smiled and said, "The doctor said your stomach has been getting better recently, so you can eat less. Besides, don't you like light meals?"
Inger folded his legs, half leaning and half sitting on the grass slope: "One day I'll let you try eating vegetables and fruits for half a month to see if you will get depressed."
Alex: "It's not me who is sick, and you should get well soon so that you can enjoy delicious food in the future."
Alex said as he took a swig from a glass of ale.
Inger glanced at him lazily. "If you drink like this, even if you can't detoxify, you'll smell like alcohol. How are you going to perform tomorrow?"
"Please help me." Alex didn't care.
Inger: "There is no such magic. It would be more practical for you to have someone prepare a milk and rose bath for you."
He took a sip of the golden sparkling wine and said, "Hmm, this tastes good."
Alex ate and drank while telling him all the messy things he encountered on the street while dressed up. He laughed like a fool, making Inger wonder if he wished he had three mouths.
He listened quietly, occasionally making a few jokes.
As he was talking, he realized a point in time.
He had been wanting to find a chance to have a good chat with Alex when all this was over.
Now is that moment.
Alex took off his gorgeous royal robe, put on a baggy suit and a shabby mustache as a disguise. He had thrown away his food long ago, and his hair, which had been sprayed with hair gel in the morning, was now as messy as a chicken nest. The king, who was already a father in his twenties, was still like a teenager who would excitedly run to every corner of the street, find the best stall, buy a lot of junk food and bring it back to share with him.
Inger stopped talking.
Alex's refreshing smile disappeared at some point, revealing a slightly lonely expression. He looked at him, and the drunkenness on his face was no longer there.
Inger knew he had to speak up.
Right now.
He had to tell him everything so far, and his past.
"Alex, I said I'll tell you everything once the dust settles."
Alex stared at Inger.
In the dim night, even the lights from the street could hardly fully illuminate the dim lawn, but the gold in Alex's eyes was clear and bright, a little light that would never disappear in the darkness.
He is more qualified than anyone else in the world to know this.
"I am not Inger Nieka."
Alex listened, unmoved.
"Well, I'm Inger now, but I also have another name, Gu Shu, and my soul comes from another world."
Inger smiled.
He thought he would be more nervous.
But at the moment he said these words, he felt nothing. He was just telling his secret to his friend.
Alex was still looking at him intently, waiting for him to fully explain everything.
There was never any disbelief in his eyes.
That virtue of quiet patience.
He kept all his doubts in his heart, like nurturing a pearl.
However, for the pearl oyster, the pearl is a foreign object that causes it pain.
All kinds of complicated emotions intertwined together, and the alcohol made his head a little hot, but he knew that his thoughts were still clear and he was not drunk yet.
He and Alex fought together for many years.
They entrusted each other with their lives.
And because of concerns, they repeatedly stand on the opposite side.
He kept many secrets from him.
It's not easy to say this.
In his life, Gu Shu had never had such a friend.
In his time, it was difficult to have a partner who shared life and death in such a dramatic way.
His only friend died.
He has no relatives, no friends, no dreams, no passion, and can only seek some imaginary love in his fictional works to fill his heart.
At that time, he never had the courage to hope that he could actually possess all of this.
God brought him into this world.
When he first came to this world, he was uneasy. He cherished everything he suddenly had, but at the same time he built a wall of isolation against these things that were easily obtained.
However, a group of people knocked open his heart with their passionate love and broke in without any regard.
His family showered him with excessive affection.
His friends took the liberty of making a noise around him.
For the first time he felt alive.
He was very grateful to God for bringing him here.
"Alex, this is like your second life. You were reborn in your own body in the same world, in the past. I was reborn in a different person's body, in another world, at a different time."
Alex was silent for a while: "It started...when the Queen poisoned me, right?"
Inger chuckled: "You guessed it."
Alex licked his dry lips and moistened his mouth with wine: "...So is the original Inger dead?"
Inger smiled and said, "You may be wondering why I mentioned the God of Time and Space to the goddess. In fact, he brought me to this world and exchanged with the original Inger, so I guess he is probably still alive, perhaps living in my original body, but I haven't seen the God of Time and Space yet..."
Alex didn't ask much about the original Inger. He repeated the pronunciation of his original name in a dull tone: "Gu Shu." He said, "Do you want to tell me about your original world?"
Inger thought for a moment, drank some wine, and said, "It's quite boring, to be honest, but if you want to listen."
"That world is quite similar to this one. I mean the history except for the magic."
"There's no magic in your world?"
"To be precise, there is no magic. Well, that's not right. Now it seems that there should be magic, but people are not able to use it. Everyone is an ordinary person. There are no knights and wizards who use magic. Knights did exist, but they were more like guards protecting the nobles?"
“Is history similar?”
"Like. But there are also many differences. Our continental plates are different from here. I am in the year 2060. Our 19th and 20th centuries are very similar to this era, except that there is no magic stone as an energy source. Hot steam and electricity are the main power sources. Later, more new energy sources appeared. Well, by this time, there should be airplanes and radio."
"So all your fantastic inventions and designs..."
"Well, it's all knowledge from my own world, and language. I know three languages. In my world, language is just a tool for communication, and it's no different from the native language of this world. But when I came to this world, those languages became the medium of magic. The magic I communicated is actually the magic of my own world." Inger laughed at himself, "So, I'm not a genius at all, just a latecomer who copied what others have said."
The world is full of true creative geniuses.
"Geniuses are just like ordinary people, why should there be a difference? Don't geniuses need to eat, excrete and sleep?" Alex said in a serious tone, causing Inger to burst out laughing.
"So what did you do originally?" Alex asked after he finished laughing.
"I used to be a teacher. Later I became a writer."
"Ah, it suits you very well."
"I don't do well at all. I am more suited to not working and to lying down and living."
“That’s not a bad thing.”
"Haha, that's nothing. Do you have to agree to whatever I say?"
"Yes, how a person lives his life is up to him."
Alex and Inger simultaneously picked up the bottles, clinked them together, and took a big gulp.
The lights on the street dimmed, and it was time for the late-night shops to close.
In order to see things clearly, Inger snapped his fingers, and the magic light transformed into a shining rabbit that flew around them.
Alex said: "Oh, this is easy, I learned it too!"
As he spoke, he spread out his five fingers, and a golden lion with an even purer glow flew out from his hands and held down the rabbit.
But the rabbit slipped out from under his claws, for the lion's claws are very gentle.
They chased each other, and a small circle lit up around them.
It was like soft candlelight, making their faces warm.
The chill of the night wind brought about a suitable silence, and they both needed a brief moment to digest these facts.
Inger waited for a while and continued, "In that world, I was an orphan. I had no relatives. The orphanage was later demolished, and the people who raised me scattered. I once had a friend who was hit and killed. In our time, being hit and killed by a car was a very incredible thing, because most cars were automated... But when he encountered such a thing... there was nothing we could do. He was like me, with no relatives. I helped him hold a funeral, and then I resigned. In the process of preparing to write, I saw a comic book. Later, the goddess told me that this was a history book of this world that they made and sent to my world. My prophecy also came from this. That comic was written from the perspective of you and Elena. I just saw your life and the tragedy of mankind."
This is how it all began.
Now when he thinks back on it, it seems like a long time ago.
The scenes are still clear, but they don't seem as unbearable as before.
Alex looked at him quietly for a while, without commenting on his past, but just raised the bottle and clinked it with his glass, and he took another sip of wine.
He asked, "In the other world, is your memory still as good?"
Inger paused and nodded: "Yeah."
Alex just took his hand again, squeezing it hard.
Although he said nothing about it, Inger could sense that he was worried about him.
Inger smiled and said, "I'm fine."
He has many friends now.
He no longer had to live with the memories of them. In the days to come, he could fulfill his wish and create new memories with them. He had never been so full of anticipation for life as he was now.
He closed his eyes and listened carefully to the sound of his heartbeat.
He still had plenty of time to tell him the details about his original world.
Afterwards, he told him everything, including Fei Leng's affairs.
Alex looked at him and breathed a sigh of relief.
Inger actually told him a lot of lies and concealed a lot of things.
He's not a very good liar.
All his joys, sorrows, anger and happiness can be seen on his face.
However, the truth of the matter was beyond his comprehension, and he did not even have the concept of another world. So he fell into regret and entanglement.
He could only wait for Inger to tell him everything.
Fortunately, he waited.
Inger asked, "Why are you laughing? Aren't you angry?"
Alex didn't realize that he had smiled again. He touched the corner of his mouth and said, "I roughly guessed this matter. I don't care. You made the right choice. Fei Leng has helped mankind a lot. If it were me, I would do the same. But I would rather you tell me about this earlier. Are you afraid that I will kill him?"
Inger pursed his lips.
However, Alex didn't mean to blame him. He changed the subject: "By the way, I was 35 when I died. How old were you before you came here?"
Inger: “Why are you asking this all of a sudden?”
Alex smiled and said, "I'm a little curious. Now that I think about it, when you were a kid, the tone of your voice was very different from that of Sheri and Uri. Your real age must be much older, right?"
Inger smiled nonchalantly: "Same age as you."
Alex covered his mouth, "Ah..."
Inger looked over and said, "Why are you blushing? Are you embarrassed now?"
"A little bit...but you were pretty childish back then..."
"Physical development affects mental age."
"So, whether here or there, we are all the same age."
Inger held out his glass: "Cheers to the two old men."
Alex smiled and chatted with him: "Not too bad yet?"
The two drank until the lights went dim.
Alex asked, "Should I call you by your original name from now on?"
Inger said, "I am also Inger. Since I have made up my mind to live in this world, I am this person. *Gu Shu is now my identity in another world."
"Are you going to tell your parents?"
"Probably not. Sometimes I am willing to believe that white lies can bring more hope than the harsh truth. And I don't think their feelings towards me will change if I tell the truth. No matter what the facts are, they are already my family."
There is no difference between the two, so keeping a little bit of the cruel truth is the only thing he can do.
Alex decided to respect his choice: "Then I won't tell anyone else. This is a secret between us."
"Um."
Inger paused and said, "I am still sorry for taking your memory, but now I have no secrets from you. I have told you everything."
Alex smiled and said, "Well, I accept. I don't have any secrets from you." He thought for a moment and said, "Ah, but there is one thing. I have a surprise for you tomorrow. I can't tell you in advance today."
Inger: "You've given me advance notice."
Alex: "Anyway, you need to dress more formally tomorrow. You are going to be honored, and it will be public, for the whole country and even the whole world to see. You will have to take pictures, and I can't suffer alone."
The last sentence is the truth.
Inger held his head and said, "Can you please not seal me up? I don't want it at all. As long as I have a pension, I'll be fine with any position. I've been honored and sealed so many times."
"You have no say, and neither do I. You have to get what you deserve." Alex's tone always seemed full of schadenfreude.
He stood up, reached out his hand and pulled Inger up.
Celebrations of the victory were held simultaneously in the three major countries.
Qiu Ne specially built a Victory Monument Square to commemorate the victory of the war between humans and demons. Two marble tablets were erected in the square, engraved with the names of the heroes, regardless of whether they died or not.
On the first day of the celebration, a public honoring ceremony was held in this square.
One is to make up for the once simple coronation and succession ceremony of the king.
The second is to confer honors and titles on the surviving war heroes.
The third is to hold a funeral for the fallen soldiers.
Make it grand, but try not to be extravagant or wasteful.
Alex's purpose in organizing this ceremony is to allow everyone to fully enjoy the festival celebrations and the victory of the war and let them feel the reality of peace.
There is no difference in the coronation and succession ceremonies, and some procedures are deliberately simplified.
The awarding process is very long.
The process was prolonged because Alex insisted on presenting a medal to every person who was honored.
Cheryl and Uri received the Order of the Cross of Swords of Mirri, named after the first female wizard emperor in the history of Cune. This medal was awarded to the most loyal knights around the king. They also received the title of marquis and obtained their own fiefdom near the family. Their brother inherited their family's title.
Bibidai was awarded the Medal of Honor for Pioneer in War. As a pioneer, he was active on the battlefield and was not afraid of danger. He inherited his family's title and upgraded it to Marquis.
Because of his many command achievements in the Human-Demon War, Kunpeu was awarded the First Class Command Medal of Honor. He was the first civilian officer to receive this honor.
Several feudal dukes, led by the Duke of Mond, made great contributions in the war. Alex and the parliament won a series of rights, further relaxed the administrative and military management authority of the territory, and promised to further help with reconstruction.
Lan Lin was specially named Earl of Jinghai, responsible for the management of the sea and marine species.
Aura was named the Executive Prince by Alex, and she had the same level of administrative power as him. In fact, her participation in government affairs had reached this level. The two of them could be said to have created an unprecedented spectacle of two kings with equal power. Some people advised Alex not to give Aura such a great actual power, but he just wouldn't listen.
Some members of parliament and industrialists who made outstanding contributions during the war were also awarded medals.
During the war, Noriha transformed many of her stores and hotels into hospitals for soldiers. She did her best to provide soldiers with living supplies during the continental war and the war between humans and demons. Her total donation amount was the highest among all people, but she did not go bankrupt because of this. On the contrary, she made great contributions to the economic recovery after the war. She became one of the most popular candidates among the members of parliament, and no one knows about her friendship with Alex and Inger. She once received a proposal for knighthood, but she refused it. She said that she did not need the title and actively participated in the re-election campaign.
Alex could only maintain a polite smile as he conferred honors and titles on his friends.
But the looks they exchanged with each other and the raised brows betrayed their moods.
Inger watched from below and couldn't help laughing when they applauded. This added a bit of fun to the boring and lengthy ceremony.
However, for some unknown reason, his honors and titles were placed last.
He thought about it and realized that it might not be his birthday yet, so he didn't know what surprise it would be.
He just waited.
When most people started yawning, the master of ceremonies finally called his name.
"Please invite Duke Ingel Neckar, Admiral, to come forward and receive the honor."
Hearing these disgusting names, Inger forced a smile.
He really has enough medals on him.
Alex, who was wearing a heavy formal suit, smiled brilliantly and put the Qiu Nei Founding of the Country Golden Lion Medal and the Ren Suyue Sun and Moon Medal on his chest.
Inger tried hard to resist the urge to roll his eyes. He felt that all the medals he had could form a collection of imperial medals.
However, these things are completely useless except for providing a little pension and various benefits which are better than nothing to him. Moreover, they cannot be damaged and must be worshipped like ancestors.
Because he was a duke, but he was a single-acquired duke, and he didn't ask for any fiefdom. This time, Alex gave him various immunities and a special lifelong senator position, among other rights, but he didn't listen seriously.
But he memorized every one of them, and they were all very useful.
Alex really put in some effort to give him something more.
Is this a surprise?
After finishing the long list, Alex took his hand.
Inger thought that was the end and was about to turn around and leave.
However, Alex made no move to let go of his hand.
Alex turned and signaled the Pope with his eyes.
The Pope stood up and said loudly: "Now let's start the knight's oath."
At that moment, all the sleepy people stood up in shock.
Because their king knelt before a man.
The king who did not kneel before God, knelt before a man.
Inger's breath caught in his throat.
He couldn't move his limbs.
Alex knelt on one knee in front of him in the emperor's luxurious dress. For a moment, the only sound in the square was the gentle collision of jewelry on the carpet.
Alex raised his head and looked at Inger intently.
He could not see the tens of thousands of people in the square.
The first time he saw Inger open his eyes in bed seemed to flash before his eyes.
Now he knows.
He was crying for him.
For his tragedy, for his death, for his resignation.
This may be the beginning of it all.
And he was the first person he rescued, not the last.
Together, they accomplished the almost impossible.
Ying has many knights around him.
He should be his only wizard.
Alex thought.
【I want to be his only knight.】
When Alex thinks of doing something, he does it.
So this scene happened.
Once upon a time, in the ancient feudal era, knights needed to swear an oath to the king because of their powerful strength. The oath of the goddess was a binding force. It was a manifestation of loyalty and a guarantee of safety.
But later, many knights chose not to take the oath for the sake of freedom.
Few people would choose to become a knight exclusive to one person. After all, they have their own lovers, relatives and friends, and different changes may happen in the future. Such a single oath is a shackle for them.
Now that the goddess' oath has become invalid, the shackles are gone.
This tradition has disappeared.
But even the goddess' oath is still effective.
Alex would still choose to swear to be that person's knight.
Just because he is Inger Nieka.
The soul is not native, but exists in this person who is here.
He's been through extraordinary hardship and he deserves a happy ending.
The curse has not yet been lifted.
And he is always so worrying.
Many facts prove that he can't take care of himself at all.
Like a child, Alex thought stubbornly.
【I want to be his only knight. 】
Looking at Inger's body that had become as stiff as a sculpture, his eyes were as gentle and clear as the dawn, as always.
Alex spoke up:
"I, Alex Chune, swear in the presence of the goddess and all the tribes in the world to become the knight of Inger Neka. I will be your sword and your shield. I will offer you my flesh and blood, my heart and soul. My remaining life will be divided into two halves, one for you and the other for my citizens. I will fulfill my duties as both an emperor and a knight. I will escort you until the death you deserve arrives as expected. Before that, I will never let you suffer any more pain. Unless you break it on your own initiative, your sword will always be sharp and your shield will never be broken. I swear by my life and death that I will never regret my oath. If I violate it, the goddess will deprive me of the joy of life and the peace of death, and I will be tortured forever."
Inger looked at Alex and thought.
After coming to this world, he has experienced a lot, at least half of which are related to Alex.
Most of his most intense emotions, even his most painful memories, came from him.
However, the only thing he did not regret was meeting Alex and becoming his friend.
No one knew the weight of this oath better than him.
The knight who vowed to save humanity saved humanity.
This knight's love is broad and is given to everyone in the world.
But now he had to give him this one and only oath.
The king of this country, a knight who once fought for the salvation of mankind, swore to be his only knight.
For Inger, this was a wonderful feeling.
Being used to carefully consider the consequences, he never rejected this option.
Alex's sincerity allowed him to accept it unconditionally.
There is no purer, more loyal man in the world.
He will definitely do what he says and what he wants to do.
He would always believe Alex.
He watched Alex hold out the sword.
He shed no tears.
It has been a difficult journey, and I cannot end this journey in tears.
Inger just smiled.
He took the sword.
The blade rested on Alex's shoulder.
"You are my knight, I am your wizard, we are equal in spirit. I am willing to stand by your side and witness your great deeds. May our deaths come as expected."
He put down his sword and reached out his hand to Alex.
Alex took his hand and stood up.
Deafening cheers, screams and applause broke out in my ears.
They just stared at each other.
They all knew that this moment would go down in history.
The main text ends.
【Pre-collection】【Extra】【Postscript】
I put the unfilled holes in the extra chapters, which involve some main plot lines.
[Pre-order] The next book I'm going to write is "The Return of the Top Powerless Person". It's somewhat related to the main plot, but not much? It used to be "Rewriting the Doomsday", but I couldn't put the title and copywriting in the Doomsday, so I had to change it. It's a sister book to this one. The inspiration came from the same time as this one. I wanted to combine them at that time, but fortunately I didn't, haha. Because the outline is not finished, it's hard to say when to start. I want to try a new writing style and interesting character settings.
There are also other pre-collected articles of mine. If you are interested, please add them to your collection!
【Extra】
I need to write some follow-up content to improve everyone's ending. And fill in some main plot content that has not been filled in the main text, which should be in the first few chapters. I like to write some warm daily life. I am not sure how much to write, so I will write as I go. Haha, I will not spoil the plot as usual. Currently, it is tentatively planned to be 12 chapters and six extra chapters (already written).
【Postscript】
It has been nine months since I started writing this article, not counting the time I spent on the outline and the initial 240,000-word draft. It has been a long journey.
I will just write down my various thoughts. If you don't want to read it, you can skip it.
First, the title of the book.
Rewriting Dawn
This was the title I had decided on at the beginning.
The word "Ming" on the cover background is missing.
It won't turn from a memorial service into a funeral (laughs.
I originally wanted to give a high-energy warning in Chapter 131, saying that the next ten chapters are very scary and that people should be prepared, but I thought it would spoil the fun of following the series, hahaha. Then I didn't put in the short drama or something, because I felt it would ruin the emotional rhythm. I had a great time writing those paragraphs, and the climax I wanted to write the most was the inspiration at the beginning. When I wrote to this point in a logical way, I was still a little bit unbelievable.
The comments are really interesting (laughs. Sometimes I really want to reply, but there are many places where I will spoil the plot as soon as I open my mouth, but I can't spoil the plot. It really makes me feel suffocated. There are many interesting comments, and I don't know what to reply to. I just like them one by one, except for those that involve spoilers. One of the fun things every day is reading your comments. I read every comment. This also gives me a lot of motivation. You all are so good at exaggerating! I will read it every few steps and laugh all the way home. Thank you for your company all the way.
I wanted to say this when I posted the first volume, the reason why I wrote so many heartwarming and daily stories in the first volume is because volumes 2, 3, and 4 are all full of knives hahahahahahaha!!! (Run.
The first volume was actually the most painful for me to write. Because there were so many foreshadowings that I couldn't talk about yet. And the pace was very slow. Plus, I didn't have a contract. Thanks to the readers who were following me at that time, I was able to write until now. I have never written such a long article before. This is the longest one.
Looking back, the whole process can be said to be getting better and better. From the painful single-player operation at the beginning, to letting it flow naturally later, it became a habit of mine. When writing the climax: the plot, inspiration bursts. Some of the later passages made me feel distressed, but it was really fun to write. The articles I wrote can really be accurately poked on each of my XPs, perfectly self-produced and self-sold hahaha, but I didn't expect so many people to like it, and I'm very happy.
Although it was painful to write the outline, I never thought of cutting it. I should say that my outline was already concise and complete enough at that time. Anything missing would be a lack of story. Every point in my timeline was set to a certain day. The outline was constantly supplemented in the later stages because it was too simple, only 3,000 words. So many details were considered when it was time to write that chapter. but at this time, I just had to think about what this person would do in this situation and how the other party would answer, and the plot went on smoothly.
For me, the timeline is the most important part of the outline. When I was arranging the timeline, I pulled out a handful of hair, and then it became convenient when I was writing. I often forget the ages of the characters and the years, and have to go back and check them hundreds of times, hahaha.
I was relieved when I finished the third volume. I expected the fourth volume to be shorter, so I was ready to post some drafts and wait for the end. But something was wrong while I was writing. Why haven't I finished writing it yet? ? ? But I didn't want to speed up casually. I wanted to follow the outline and complete the whole process, control the rhythm, and finish it well. Finally, it has come to an end now. In the end, I still feel that the ending is a bit too hasty, but I have written everything I should write, so even if there are regrets, I will ignore them. They have worked hard all the way.
I saw many people were doubting whether it would end in a happy ending. Haha, I want to say that there is no need to worry. From the beginning, I was determined that everyone must have a happy ending. I was very happy to write this, and I hope everyone will be happy to read it.
A person comes to this world, is saved by love, falls in love with this world and the people here, and then finds his or her final destination in this world. It is such a simple story.
Thank you all for accompanying me on this journey. This article still has many, many immature parts, but I have decided to be more tolerant of myself.
I'm done, yay!!!
