Chapter 9 Wolf Disaster

Kill him, that's going a bit too far!

It's better to keep him under control myself, to prevent him from spreading rumors everywhere...

Logically speaking, since Young Master Jia did not return all night and Chenjia Village was also plagued by wolves!

The Jia family should have sent people to rescue them overnight.

The so-called county lieutenant was equivalent to the head of the county public security bureau and the head of the armed forces department.

Although their main responsibility is maintaining order, they also have the authority to deploy troops!

If enough troops are sent, they should be able to drive away the wolves.

But since Young Master Jia is a frequent womanizer, who knows where he sleeps at night?

Therefore, his family only received the news at dawn and rushed over to pick him up.

After giving the leading squad leaders a few slaps, Young Master Jia bid farewell to Jiang Ming with tears of gratitude and prepared to return home!

Before leaving, Jiang Ming made a point of showing him the hole at the base of the wall outside the east wing, proving that what he said last night was true—that white tiger could indeed dig holes and penetrate walls!

This startled Young Master Jia so much that he broke out in a cold sweat again!

He simply packed his bags and left, leaving Jiang Ming to clean up the mess.

When they went to investigate in the village, they discovered something quite amiss...

Overnight, the wolf pack killed more than thirty people!

The livestock were not attacked much.

It's obvious that this pack of wolves came down the mountain to kill and silence witnesses!

Moreover, most of those bitten to death were families wiped out, belonging to a few hunter families in the village.

The entire family, young and old, were all wiped out!

There were also seven or eight local militiamen who came out in the middle of the night to gather at Jiang Ming's house for reporting.

The facts of the case are clear: this is revenge!

These hunters must have done something outrageous to cause the wolf attack!

The cries of those who lost their loved ones echoed throughout the village!

The villagers wept, saying that even the tiger infestation hadn't been this bad. These wolves wanted to devour the entire village! They were sure they'd come back tonight! After all, the livestock hadn't been attacked much yet; they weren't going to do something that wouldn't be profitable!

While cleaning up the victims' bodies, they found an old hunter who wasn't quite dead yet. His body was scratched all over, a bloody mess, and it looked like he couldn't be saved!

Jiang Ming squatted down, frowned, and asked him, "Uncle Chen, what exactly did these hunters do to make the wolves target you like this?"

Old Chen was speechless. His hands trembled as he wrote the character "Jia" on the ground in blood.

Upon seeing the words, Jiang Ming frowned slightly!

He wondered what this meant. Was the wolf attack related to the Jia family?

While he was still in a daze, a constable came from outside to report: "Chief, the county magistrate requests your presence at his residence immediately!"
